This place in Hanmer is in a great spot – just a short walk from the town center. It’s cozy and comfortable, making for a really relaxing stay. Ella, the host, was fantastic. She went out of her way to make sure we had a smooth stay, even letting us check in early, which was a huge help. She also provided towels for the hot pools at no extra cost, which was a really thoughtful touch. Ella truly made the experience special, and her kindness made all the difference. It’s definitely a great place to stay in Hanmer!

Our stay was made by Katie and Ella. They were so kind and attentive. My wife and I have been around for a long time and stayed at many motels. But this was the first time we have ever wanted to hug the owners of a motel when we left- and we did! *The day we arrived at the Alpine Garden Motel we received a text from them while we were still in the previous town saying that our room was ready. Again, in our long experience, another first - very good service. *When my wife lost her charge cord for her phone Katie and Ella produced a replacement foc. PS The dog was also beautiful!

The Alpine Garden itself definitely needs a fair bit more love!

We had a text just over an hour before 2pm that our room was all ready and we could check in slightly early. The staff were super friendly and eager to help us with anything we needed, the beds were comfortable, the sofa bed was bigger than we expected for my 2 children sleep on. The room was very clean, warm and comfortable, . It was in a fantastic location to the restaurants and pools...walking distance ( which is so important as car parking can be very difficult during the school holidays! ) I will be definitely staying here again and would highly recommend it to everyone.

Absolutely it was the warm and friendly welcome from Ella when we arrived to use our two-day pass at the pools. Ella offering us the use of their pool towels for our trip to the pools (and their easy return system). And the offer again on the day we were to leave. Cold weather out but quickly warmed up our room and it was warm and cozy. Kids also liked the overnight stay.

I would say, my stay wasn't long enough.

Fantastic location, just a short walk through a glade of trees to the Hot Springs pools and town centre. The motel unit was of an older design that has been well maintained and was spotlessly clean. Room 7 was equipped with everything we could possibly have needed and our room was very quiet. The staff were not just pleasant and helpful, they were very kind!

The bed had very soft sides making it a little diffucult to sit on.

Was a lovely place to stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything we needed including an iron and ironing board which was needed.

Would have been nice to have had an extra comfortable chair in the lounge, there were three of us and it was a bit squashed on the couch and the dining chairs were very uncomfortable when watching tv. The air conditioning outside was a little loud but once asleep it was ok.

Staff were extremely friendly, we did quad biking, so we had muddy and dusty clothes. For a small price the hotel washes and dried your clothes. The location was convenient, surroundings gardens were beautiful. We are a family of 5, so one of the kids had to sleep on the sofa bed, but it was the comfiest bed. We checked in after office hours, the a/c was on at a cosy temperature, which was a lovely touch.

First time staying and coming out to Hamner Springs, As we arrived after check in hours the owners had been in contact days before arriving to let me know about checking in to our room after those hours etc which was great. We loved the room that was booked was so nice an cosy with the spa bath. Was a great stay and will diffently be back again too stay.

A repeat visit to a lovely motel with all facilities and exceptional hosts. Very comfortable and quiet, within a few minutes walk of all village locations. Comfy bed, well stocked kitchen; bathroom and spa bath very good. Excellent value for money and a pleasure to meet Katie and Ella who keep this motel in perfect shape. If we return to Hanmer we shall have no hesitation in booking Alpine Garden again.

We are seasoned travellers with high expectations and liked everything about this exceptional motel. Full marks!

After a big day and long night travelling, we arrived to our unit lit up so we could find it easily. The room was warm, inviting, clean and a welcome haven. The bed was super comfy and was lovely to indulge in a spa bath before we left the next morning. Lovely, friendly staff who accommodated our needs. Great communication too.
