Very conveniently located to my exam center, wonderful room service food, and an excellent breakfast.

My floor was under construction at the time I stayed, so it was a bit dusty near the elevator area. There were also a group of children who constantly screamed, and I would have appreciated if the front desk called them more than once.

pet friendly, very clean, near a dog park, staff are always very nice. beds are very comfortable. quiet.

There was a wierd heating element mounted to the wall that made an unusual sound. We woke up and found the temp in the room was 92. Once we figured out how to adjust it it was fine. The decor is very white (carpets etc) which is hard to keep looking clean, so even a small stain is noticiable. Booking through the hotel site was difficult as the email confirmation price kept changing to be more expensive and we couldn't lock in the price before arriving. Glad we decided to book using this site in the end. Valet parking was $60 - recommend finding your own street parking if you can. We were charged an amenities fee, but there werent any special amenities.

Upon arrival in our room we were presented with a freshly made cake and a bottle of fizz to help us celebrate our birthday, with a lovely card wishing us a good stay and a happy birthday. This was a really lovely touch that enhanced our stay. The room itself was really spacious and stylish. The beds were really comfy too. The location is a 6 minute walk to the metro making it ideal, and there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were really friendly and happy to help with our many questions, even finding a phone charger for us. The bar and restaurant was lovely too, worth while if you go for happy hour.

There needs to be more storage for clothes both hanging and drawers. Also we had to ask for tea making facilities, whilst this wasn't an issue and we were provided with these once we asked, it would have been nice if these were already offered alongside the coffee maker.

Overall, a great stay at Lyle DC! We arrived early and the staff were very accommodating with storing luggage and alerted us when our room was available which made it easy to plan out our first day in DC. We found the bed and pillows the most comfortable so we slept very well during our four-night stay. Dupont Circle was a very walkable neighborhood offering varying food and nightlife options. We also appreciated that the hotel was close to two metro lines (Red, Dupont Circle & Green, U Street) so it made it easy to get around the city without having to take a taxi/Lyft to every destination.

Two very minor notes that didn't detract from the overall experience - the elevator would close without moving, this happened twice during the stay. When we opted for the stairwell, it wasn't clearly marked so we stepped out to the lower level when trying to navigate to the lobby.

- Honestly is the nicest hotel room I have ever stayed in - Jonny on the front desk have a warm and friendly welcome and made pleasant chat. He also kindly gave us a room upgrade without us even asking - Room was spacious and beautifully decorated. - Included kitchenette (with plates and cutlery) - Everything in the room felt high quality - Location in a lovely part of Washington, clearly one of the nice areas of the city (which I found to be a really nice city overall)

- expensive parking on site, but there's a local parking garage just off DuPont circle which will let you park for $20 per night

Lyle Hotel has fantastic aesthetics—everything looks beautiful and feels intentionally designed. The staff is incredibly helpful and made our stay even better. While the rooms are on the smaller side, they’re very functional. The beds are super comfortable, and the bathroom was just as pleasant. Overall, a lovely stay in a stylish and welcoming hotel!

If I had to make a few suggestions: it’s a bit easy to hear noise from outside, so if the windows are ever being updated, more soundproof ones would make a big difference. Also, it would be helpful to replace one of the poofs with a proper chair for business calls or working. In our specific room, the TV was placed on the side wall, which made it tricky to watch from the bed—there seemed to be space to mount it directly across from the bed, which would’ve been much better.

The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and v clean. Overall it was a very comfortable stay. There is an old retro/rustic vibe to the whole building and its ambience which is quite nice. It’s not an MDF shiny hotel, but old and clean with a character, and it’s quite obvious that they are keeping the place well maintained. The staff are very friendly and welcoming! The vibe at the bar/restaurant is nice for hanging out.

There is a strange smell throughout the whole property. At some point the smells develops into a sour mold-like smell, especially in the bathroom. The steel cupboards at the end of the corridors (It looks like an abandoned office).

We really enjoyed our stay at Lyle. The location is excellent — nestled in a quiet, charming residential neighborhood, yet still very close to all the main attractions and easy to get around. Our room was beautifully designed, comfortable, and well-equipped with high-quality amenities. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is calm and elegant. While the staff was polite and professional, the service felt somewhat impersonal and could have been warmer. That said, Lyle is a great choice for those looking for a peaceful, stylish base in D.C.

It is absolutely clean and spotless, and I say this with most of the furniture upholstered in white.

It is in the most architecturally marvelous and hip neighborhood of DuPont Circle. It is a gorgeous 2 mile walk to the mall attractions with excellent subway connections, but the location is not in the immediate proximity of DC’s great museums (except of course the Phillips Collection which is in this section).

It was nice having coffee in the morning. It helped greatly traveling with kids to have a microwave and a small fridge in the room. We received adjoining rooms on request for a very small daily top up fee. The room, bathroom and kitchenette was well appointed, quite spacious with beautiful crockery to utilise when needed. Very soft bed, comfortable pillows and clean rooms. All staff at the front desk, at the entrance door, in the restaurant, the cleaning staff was very accommodating and friendly throughout the stay. Walking distance to shops and restaurants around Dupont circle and surrounds. Beautiful safe neighborhood.

Floors did not always seem to be vacuumed during cleaning.
