It was a planned, quiet chill out weekend for myself and the husband. With good food, drink, and a good atmosphere, meeting new people, and that was what we got. there was entertainment on both nights' live music on Friday night(which was really good) and a murder mystery on Saturday night (we didn't take part), but still had a good night with others who were there for the same idea as ourselves, staff were all friendly, helpful and accommodating, we would recommend staying here, and we will be booking again at some point later in the year .

Nothing.

The Breakfast was very good, Evening meal menu was good value for money but limited, but they did cater for gluten free, all staff were helpful and polite.

We booked two rooms and our room was very dated and the bathroom / shower room cramped and we were located on the ground floor next to the road with single glazed windows so we had road noise. the second room must have been and upgrade because this was an excellent room. We complained and they moved us to a superior room the next day at no extra cost.

The room was clean, inviting, and warm. Just what we needed after our first day of walking the West Highland Way. And there was a bathtub! We were sorry we didn't bring our bath salts. Thank you for a wonderful night. Had dinner at the bar. Friendly, accommodating, and the food was delicious.

There wasn't any heat to be found in the bathroom except the warming towel rack. During the summer it would be fine - but it was January and a little heat would have been nice. The room was warm and cozy so it didn't matter too much.

At first glance we knew that the Winnock Hotel was going to be OK. Reception was the first port of call and this proved to be easy with a great receptionist who was both informative and very friendly. The bedroom was light and airy that gave off an air of peace and tranquillity and the bar and breakfast rooms were very much the same albeit decorated in a traditional country manner. A good nights rest complimented by very friendly staff left us saying 'we will have to come back'....

Nothing to dislike, To say otherwise would be derogatory and uncalled for.

Staff were brilliant and were always helpful especially when our key card for the door didn't work the second day - it was fixed quickly and efficiently! Room had everything we needed for our stay and it was as comfortable as you can get!

Rooms are a tad hot and we tried opening the windows but struggled with the mechanisms a little - though this could have been helped if we asked staff for help but we are all rather socially anxious people!! However, it was still a great stay and we had an excellent time.

This property is located in center of small town. Easy to find and within walking distance of shopping, etc. This property has a lot of hallways and mini flights of stairs between various "wings" of the property so was a little confusing to find your room. There was a nice bar & restaurant on site where we enjoyed our evening meal. There was a problem with the heat in some parts of the hotel and we stopped at reception & were given a small electric heater which was able to warm up the room before we went to bed for the night.

Staff and local punters were really nice. Food was good and the selection of drinks etc were decent. Room was nice, it has a ramp at the back which was handy for our buggie in and out the car (which was also parked at the back). There was a murder mystery night thing on (which we weren't apart of) but nice talking with some of the folk and the place was busy. Overall the hotel, location and staff were great from reception to the breakfast staff etc.

I would say the only thing was the shower head was only about 4 ft off the ground, so being 6ft, I had to almost squat which showering but it's a very minor thing.

The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Good shower. Good food in bar

Staff at reception were very off hand if not possibly verging on rude. I was travelling with French friends who do not speak much English. My friend tried to ask the receptionist about breakfast options before I came down. He was dismissed with a wave of her hand and a menu shoved towards him. No attempt to explain slowly what the options were. Also I found the prices for breakfast very high especially for a continental breakfast.

Absolutely brilliant location for exploring around Loch Lomond. There was plenty of parking on site and a Spar just across the road which was great for getting lunch for a day out. The food in the restaurant on site was excellent and the bar was very friendly. The cooked breakfast each morning was incredible.

My 'double' bed was made of two singles which had been joined together meaning that there was a slightly uncomfortable gap between them. The shower pressure wasn't great, but it was nice and hot so not a huge issue! And it's a rustic old building which has a lot of character, but does mean the noise travels through from the corridor/neighbouring rooms. This wasn't an issue as other guests were quiet at night but I was woken up in the mornings.

The hotel was much larger than I realised, lots of rooms, situated in a beautiful part of Scotland to explore the surrounding areas, on the door step of the West Highland Way which I did walk part of the route last year, (stunning walk) Never had a lot of time to explore all the area but will come back again sometime soon. Staff great, breakfast was the best I have had with a Great selection of delicious Scottish food, variety of continental and hot food, fresh fruit drinks plenty of toast tea and coffee.
