Liked the amazing breakfast menu and personalised options…the hosts really care and offer homemade baking (bread / muffins) and jams. Additional to that some produce (chives, tomatoes, etc) is grown onsite. You feel special while also having privacy respected. Nice quiet location with minimal road noise and option of ground floor rooms was great as I need a knee replacement….

Although an easy walk it is slightly away from downtown Perth. I didn’t have a vehicle and was sometimes dropped off, depending on use of parking at doorway you can end up having to exit vehicle with haste. Watch the curbside…

I arrived later than anticipated for my one night stay in a large single room and was met intially by Glenda who was very friendly and confirmed that I could leave my car where I'd parked it at the front of the property. I was then given the key to my room which was very clean and more than adequately sized for one person with all the amenities advertized and a very nice ensuite shower room. I decided to go straight out for the pint I felt I'd earnt and the short walk to the pub took me along a delightful bridge spanning the beautiful (even in the rain!) River Tay. I went back to my room for an early night and made use of the coffee making facilities before retiring for a decent night's kip in a comfy bed. The following morning I went down for the breakfast included in the price and was met by a most attentive Rob who pointed me in the direction of the wonderful buffet before taking my order for a full Scottish. The buffet really was excellent but was somehow bettered by the main course which, in my opinion, was flawless. Rob was always on hand to attend to customers' requests despite clearly being very busy while Glenda worked hard to keep the food coming! A great combination. The fact that such a lovely breakfast was included in the already competitive price was a great bonus. I then set off on the next part of my journey well rested and very well fed!

The only issue I had is one that's probably beyond the control of Rob and Glenda and that was that my room was situated at the front of the property and the traffic on the busy road was very noisy at times. It didn't really prevent ME from getting a decent night's sleep but I appreciate that lighter / less tired sleepers may find it more troublesome. I didn't get the chance to use the shower so I can't comment on how good it is but it certainly looked spacious enough.

The hosts were really friendly and welcoming, Glenda even helped us take our bags to our room. The room was ready and clean for our arrival. There were little details that made it feels very homely like a fabric hairdryer bag and soft towels with the hotel's logo on them and a little bottle of water. The beds were comfy and even though we were in the room facing the streets, it was quite quiet throughout. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade blueberry jam and pancake specials. I asked for dairy-free milk with my tea and this was not an issue for them. And we overheard Rob being really accomodating to a gluten-free couple, even asking them if they wanted their sausages cooked separately. Thoroughly impressed!

Bathroom was quite small and felt a bit like we were camping. The location is also a bit off when you first arrive. It feels quite a way from the centre and not in the nicest parts of town. But once you step inside, it's very warm and cosy. Apart from that, all very good!

LOCATION WAS GOOD, EASY TO FIND AND THERE WERE PARKING SPACES. Breakfast was excellent, with a great choice and hot food cooked to order so lovely and hot when it arrived.

After I had booked, I sent an email asking if i could have a room on the ground floor with a walk-in shower as I have difficulty with stairs. I received an email back saying this was ok . However, when I arrived that room had been allocated to someone else and I had to struggle up a flight of stairs. The lady was helpful and carried my bags up for me and I have no complaints about the standard of the room only that it was upstairs.! I have checked and made sure my booking for the following week has definitely been booked as a ground floor room.

Wonderful, peaceful guesthouse with lovely, friendly female owner and staff. Were made to feel very welcome. A large house in a quiet street with a busy road. 10 minute walk to a Co-Op supermarket that's open until late. Slightly steep stairs to rooms. Lovely double en-suite room for 2. Large comfy double bed with bed sheets, thick duvet and lots of pillows. Comfy chair on each side of double bed. Carpeted room. En-suite large bathroom with toilet, sink, rubbish bin, hand soap on sink. free bath and hand towels, hair drier in room. Table in room with free tea/coffee, milk and sugar sashays, plus free bottles of water and biscuits. Good speed free WiFi in room. Full Scottish breakfast or continental breakfast included in room price. Key to enter house and room. On-street parking available. 8-10 minute drive to Perth centre. Very comfy room, very relaxing stay. Would stay again. Very helpful and friendly staff. Amazing breakfast, lots of choices, linin napkins, silverware.

Stairs up to the room quite steep and many, 10-12. Breakfast is served quite early, finished by 09:30 in the morning. Laundry not normally available for guests, sometime accesptions can be made. A little far from Perth City Centre by car.

My single room on the ground floor was small but very comfortable and had all I needed including a small fridge. Shower worked well and there was plenty of hot water. Bed was very comfy and breakfast delicious with a very good choice. This is a return visit and I expect to return many more times.

Parking can be an issue as I had to squeeze into a space that was barely big enough for my small Honda Jazz - a larger car definitely would not have fitted, but here are 5 or 6 spaces.

Breakfast was fabulous. Perfect poached eggs on toast Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Good location to access Perth, theatre, museums etc.

My ensuit was a reasonable size, but my friend's bathroom was tiny - as in a converted cupboard. Avoid room 8 if you are on the larger size. Road is very noisy if facing it, especially in the morning (room 5) Limited disabled access, as steps to the door. I'm sure the lovely staff would try to accommodate, but it's 2 houses knocked into one and I believe most rooms are up stairs. And it's a one and half staircase. Not the best with a dodgy hip.

Been here 3 times nice breakfast nice and quiet nice cosy bed no complaints what so ever 😊

Would have l like a toilet in bed room as had on the last 2 times but this was a one of experience as bed and breakfast was probably busy and had to leave bed room at night to walk a long corridor to the toilet apart from that no complaints nice clean place ànd nice warm welcome when you arrive at bed and breakfast gust house 😀

The full Scottish breakfast was excellent; local ingredients, simply presented and hearty. And proper cloth napkins! The room was spotlessly clean and looked fresh and inviting. I'm guessing a fairly recent refurb and decoration throughout.

I chose fresh air over the traffic noise but if you're a light sleeper you may have to close the window or check if you can have a room at the rear. It was also a longer walk than I anticipated from the rail station - I suggest you check your preferred travel app before considering a taxi.

Hazeldene Guest House was a fantastic find. The whole of the property was exceptionally well kept and everything about our room was top quality. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, there was everything we needed, even a mini fridge! The owner was welcoming and very polite, nothing was too much trouble. Little touches like homemade bread and homemade marmalade at breakfast made our stay extra special, breakfast was very good and there was plenty of choice. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely make another booking.
