5 Stars – Wonderful Stay! I had an amazing experience at this hotel! The location was absolutely perfect—situated in a beautiful gated community with a great sense of security and tranquility. Right across the street was an incredible pizza place with the best pizza and genuinely friendly staff. The hotel arranged both airport transportation and a shuttle to my cruise ship, which made everything seamless and stress-free. The breakfast was spectacular, with a great variety and quality, and the staff throughout my stay were consistently warm and helpful. My room was beautifully maintained, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and I loved having a private balcony with a stunning ocean view. The accommodations overall were top-notch. Highly recommend this hotel—I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

We couldn’t praise Guesthouse Porto di Roma highly enough. I had arranged transport with the hotel to take us from Fiumicino to the hotel. Our plane was 2 hours late leaving Heathrow and all I had to do was contact Gianluca and everything was sorted. We were picked up at the airport and transported to Civitavecchia by a lovely young man. It was the same young man who took us to our cruise ship the next morning. Importantly, right to the ship! A lot of taxis don’t have permission to go into the port but Porto di Roma has that permission. Our room at the hotel was amazing, a lovely large room with an amazing terrace where it was nice to sit and relax after a stressful journey (thank you British Airways). Beautiful bathroom with a lovely spacious shower. We had a leisurely breakfast the next morning where there was so much delicious food. I’m afraid I can’t remember the lady’s name who served us, but she was so helpful and friendly. While waiting for our transport to the ship, there was a lovely terrace in the garden to sit and just relax. Although I never met Gianluca, he kept in touch regularly and ensured everything went smoothly. We only had 1 night here but I’d like to book another cruise from Civitavecchia just to stay here again.

Gianluca is extremely helpful making sure everything is in order. She even contacted us prior to the trip to arrange transportation for us from the airport to the premises. It is very heart warming! Her hospitality during our our stay was greatly appreciated. The breakfasts she prepared was simple but just right to start a fresh morning. The rooms and public areas are very clean and the open courtyard is well maintained. She also arranged transportation for us to the cruise ship terminal in the last day. Everything was looked after making the stay very enjoyable and worry-free. Highly recommend this place if you have a cruise starting from Civitavecchia.

The location is the only drawback, a bit remote from the city centre. It is a 30-minute walk to city centre. If the weather is good and you are mobile enough, it is a good daily exercise though and it is not a bad thing at all.

Everything was excellent

This B&B is very close to the port and easy to reach via car service from Rome. We had three rooms booked, all clean and providing shampoo/soap. Check in was a breeze. Breakfast had plenty of options and was tasty. The shower was strong and a good temp. The best part of the stay was the staff, Top notch customer service they went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. They arranged car service for a number of people in our group as well as a shuttle to the port. They even assisted with our luggage. I cannot say enough how great the customer service was. We are avid travelers and this was an experience I would highly recommend.

By no fault of the B&B, dining options were pretty limited. There is a pizza place across the street which was very good and fairly priced. There is also a hotel a few blocks north that has a small restaurant inside, they had a good menu and the food was very tasty. They do not speak much English but we were able to make it work. If you can go into town for lunch there are many options for dining. If you are in town for a night or two waiting for a cruise, you will be fine.

We arrived by Cruise ship. B/B arranged shared pick up from the SHIP with own driver and vehicle for 10 Euros P/P and Private Airport transfer using same for 150 Euros. Excellent service for very competitive price. Breakfast was basic with all you needed. The service was provided by a very helpful Maid / Manager. She starts at 6AM and works until mid afternoon. This lady could not do enough for you. She looks after all aspecs of running the B&B. You need to know that this property was recently upgraded and is all brand new inside and out. We had one of their best rooms with with a very large (all new) bathroom and a SEA view from a balcony on two sides. During the day when the help has gone home contact to services is by WhatsApp. Entry and Exit to the grounds and building is by electroniic touch pads with given codes. There is secure parking for approx 4 vehicles. There is a Good licenced Pizza Parlor besides the B&B and Bakery/Bar and two hotels with resturants within walking distance. The area is south of the city and port by 3 km. Shuttle bus service can be arranged by B&B offered to us for10 and 20 Euros /P/P. (this is arranged through outside contractors and not controlled by the property)!

Negative for people with disabilities, access to rooms is by Marble staircass. In the two days stay did not see a bus running even though there are bus stops. Looks like the service was cut.

This accommodation comes highly recommended for travelers heading to Sardinia, particularly those needing a convenient stay before or after taking the ferry. Our stay at Guesthouse Porto di Roma was very nice. The location is great, safe and the property is modern, very clean and perfect for our stay (four nights). The room was spotless, very comfortable with nice design, great linen, towels, climate control and a beautiful bathroom. Tiziana was very helpful and friendly, very good breakfast. I will recommend it to my friends.

The property is lovely. The staff wonderful! There is a pizza place right across the street- we ate there 2x and it was delicious!!!!

For us it was far from town. My daughter is in a travel chair so we couldn't walk it. We took a cab ride to and from town for the day ($15 USD there $30 back). We had a great time visiting the shops the market and the waterfront. Despite the distance we would stay here again!!

Exceptionally clean, contemporary, beautifully designed and decorated 'Guesthouse ' The bed was very comfortable in a great size room with a nice balcony. The pizza place across the street is fabulous and incredibly busy. The location is only 15 minutes from Civitavecchia Porto Ferry and town. We had an extremely pleasant stay and enjoyed our visit with Tito and Guisluca at breakfast. Civitavecchia is a fun little town by the Sea.
