My room had windows on 2 sides overlooking the lake and the promenade. It had a small balcony with a table and 2 small chairs overlooking the lake and the mountains. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. It was on the first floor directly above a restaurant terrace at the 'busy' end of the promenade very close to the charming small streets of Ascona. I enjoyed hearing the hustle and bustle outside during the evening and it was quiet at night. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful and there was a choice of juices/bread/croissant/meat/cheese and eggs for breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

I really appreciated how clean the room was. The bed was comfortable, and the shower head facilitated a wonderful shower experience. But I most thrilled by the fact that the breakfast buffet and restaurant offered gluten-free options - sometimes those are exceedingly hard to find.

I was at first a little disappointed at the small size of the room, given that the images of the room I thought I booked were of a much larger room. But it ended up being ok because the view made up for it all.

Great view of the lake from 2nd floor room. Great location. Super breakfast. Quiet. Air conditioning. Close to bus stop, Coop, boat terminal. Relaxing stay, with opportunity for interesting nearby excursions.

Instructions for how to get to off-site hotel parking were confusing. Parking spaces were very close together, though typical of Swiss parking lots in general. Weather in early July was generally very hot during the day.

We had room 202 which had a small but perfectly enjoyable balcony overlooking the lake. The rest of the room was laid out and equipped brilliantly and had one of the best bathrooms of our entire trip. Great lighting and plenty of power outlets. All staff were super helpful with every request and especially so with our limited italian! Breakfasts were also very good with plenty of choices. Coffees were great too.

Nothing really. The location and parking are a compromise due to the lakeside location and traffic limitations so those driving with large suitcases may struggle.

Fabulous location. Views from the balconies are stunning. Breakfast buffet is adequate. The fresh orange juice machine was lovely. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The rooms very spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds.

The TV channels are very limited in terms of languages. Not a big issue for us but surprising in a country with great cable TV.

noisy outside only if the windows are open, which we had done as we had a balcony and wanted to sit at our little table. It is as expected to be on the lively lakefront with restaurants.

Everything was just perfect! The staff was loveley and professional. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious and very clean. Beautiful view on the lake and the mountains. The breakfast delicious: Fresh bread, local honey, tasty cheese, perfect birchermusli... There were many beautiful details such as the background music, olive wood accessories, flowers... I also had my dinner in the restaurant which was delicious!

The toom was very nicely nade up and extremely clean. Breakfast was outstanding and very good and friendly service. The reception was very flexible with arrival times and very helpful with our questions and providing great advice. Of course, outstanding location on the lake promenade in Ascona.

perfectly located very close to ferry wharf. very quiet as pedestrians only on waterfront in front of hotel. breakfast delicious. very comfortable bed. lovely dinner. staff smiling, friendly & helpful. stayed here because of a recommendation from a friend in Australia. they were 100% correct. highly recommend
