The accommodation is located 2 km frim entrance 2 if the Plitvice national park. The room was clean, the whole compkex if houses witg appartments is well organised. There is a small swimming pool, nice shade and sun and very kind owner Lala who was very helpful witg some tips. Breakfast was great, good selection and always fresh and warm. Lots of parking at the property.

For me only the pillows were a bit too high so I slept with a rolled towel beneath my head. Everything else was perfect! The accommidation has no restaurant as such,so no coffee or drinks can be bought closeby, but there is a restaurant accriss the street in case of needs which was good.

The room was quite basic but had everything we needed. A nice relaxation area with a pool, sunbeds, and chairs - much appreciated after a long, hot walk around the lakes! Staff were lovely and gave us some good advice on booking tickets for the lakes. There was an excellent bistro across the road - recommend you book a table if you'd prefer to sit inside (it can be a bit chilly outside in the evening).

We didn't know it was cash only until a couple of days before we were due to arrive and so had to get cash out whilst abroad, which was very expensive - I should probably have read the details more closely, but more advanced notice would have been nice. Breakfast was advertised as 12 euros each per day, but had increased to 15 - I'm not sure we really got our money's worth, although there was a good selection.

This is a spotless, comfortable, very efficiently run place to stay within 5 mins drive of entrance 2 of the Plitvice Lakes. It’s a great base for a day exploring this fascinating natural environment. We were sad we weren’t staying an extra night to be able to go back to use the small pool after a long day walking around the park. The breakfast buffet is fantastic with options to suit everybody. They make all the baked goods on site. Well worth the extra cost. And a range of restaurants are within a short walk for dinner out.

It was a bit tricky having to pay in full in cash and it would’ve been easier if we could’ve paid by card.

Room is clean and bathroom size is decent size and has 2 sinks. We like wood floor (no carpet). Breakfast is good for the price. Friendly staff at the front desk and at the breakfast restaurant. Nice and quiet place. Easy parking. Close to Plitvice Park. We will stay here again.

We did not know that they only accept cash and we were informed a few days before check in. We don't know if it is common practice in the area or not but this is the only time in our travel experience that Host requested to pay in cash for the room charge and breakfast. We could have brought more cash in advance if we knew. Wifi did not work.

Plitvice Ethno House is located just 400 metres from the Mukinje bus stop and a 3-5 minute drive (30 minute walk) to entrance 2 to the Plitvice Lakes national park. The room was very spacious and had a cozy feel to it. The bathroom had a very modern design and the shower was very powerful. Breakfast was available for an extra 15 euros per day and there was a lot of variety of options to choose from. I was also able to get some laundry done for 20 Euros for one load. Host was very helpful - I enjoyed my stay there.

Fabulous property very close to Plitvice Lakes which was our reason for visiting the area. The property itself is very attractive and the pool area is lovely although the water in the pool was pretty chilly. The staff were all very helpful. There is no restaurant or food served but you can buy coffee at the reception area. There is a restaurant immediately opposite the hotel and lots of other eateries in the local area.

Both the fridge and safe in the room were not working which wasn't a big issue as we were only staying a couple of nights. There are also no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which I think most people would expect as standard these days especially when there is no restaurant.

1. Location: - If you go by FlixBus, it really stops at the Mukinje station (the last stop), which is 500m away from the hotel, so basically you can just walk there. But be really careful cuz there‘s no sidewalks along the main road. - The hotel is closer to entrance 2, but by walking it took 35 mins and there is no Uber to call. However, the staff could drive you there for 10€. 2. The staff at the reception is very nice and reachable on the phone. We arrived much earlier than the check-in time and she let us use the room right away. She‘s also nice to my parents who don’t really speak fluent English. 3. The room is the best throughout our trip. It‘s all wooden. The design, the lighting and everything are amazing. Bathroom is perfect, clean and comfortable. Stable hot water and provides 2-in-1.

The staf were friendly, attentive and kind to talk too. You can see they put a lot of hard work into their business and keep improving there buildings. Ethno house is in nice a property with several buildings, therefore there are not too many rooms in our building. The area around the buildings is nicely decorated, with many spots to sit. Around the pool there are sunbeds and in the evening there's enough led lightning to enjoy warm evenings outside. Wireless outside was okay, inside, the reception was very good. Breakfast was a buffet like in many hotels, with fresh fruit, yoghurt, grains, bread, meats, cheese, jams and even delicious pies. Super worth it. They also offer refreshments from their (reception) bar. The room and bathroom were clean and had all the room we needed. Especially the mattresses on our bed were super!! (With memory foam). I woke up without any back pain and was very comfy all night. Across the street there's a bistro where you can have a nice dinner. The prices are good. Tip: go early, when we were there was a waiting queue when we left. Tips for improvement: - maybe Ethno house can offer something small to eat as well in the evenings, certainly after a long day at Plitvice lakes you don't want to go to the bistro. And there is plenty of room on the grounds to enjoy dinner there. - Maybe get a car charging option

Loved everything! So clean and neat inside and outside around the grounds. The pool was a welcome relief in the heat during our August trip to Plitvice National Park, we could even have a lemon beer poolside! The rooms were fabulously decorated, comfy beds, smart interior with clean lines. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. Do yourselves a favour and stay for at least 2 nights you will not be disappointed. The hosts were brilliant and spoke excellent English which was 100% better than our non-existent Croatian! They even organised taxi’s transfer to the Park and to the bus stops. Thank you ladies. Antonio’s restaurant opposite was fantastic for local cuisine, well priced, super friendly staff and not far to walk!

Nothing at all !

Great location, perfectly situated for access to the lakes and national park. Warm welcome on arrival, even though we were later than anticipated in getting there. Lovely pool and play area which the children really enjoyed. Breakfast was delicious and good value. What our kids said (aged 10 and 6): “I loved this place because the breakfast buffet was cute and nice, and the rooms were nice too”…”I loved seeing the waterfalls while we stayed here”.

Nothing - all good! What our child said (aged 10): “The only thing was we could hear the person using the shower in the next room!”
