It was a lovely hotel in a great location. The decor in the main building and the layout of the dining room made it really welcoming. The breakfast and staff in the dining room were exceptional.
The only slight downside was that our room was particularly small and as it was in the roof, my husband kept banging his head when getting out of bed. There was limited space for hanging clothes which wasn’t a problem as we were only there 3 nights but I feel the room would have benefitted from a fridge instead of a chest of drawers to compensate for the small size of the room overall. It was very comfy though with a great view over the city.

The Dorian House is really lovely with off street parking available which is great if you have a car as we did. Our room was on the first floor, very convenient. The room was nicely decorated with water, tea, coffee and snacks provided. The bed was comfortable and we had access to a little garden. Breakfast was delicious every morning with nice variety and served in a bright sunroom. Every single staff member was super friendly, helpful and accommodating. We felt very safe walking in the area.
There is a steep climb from the parking to the front door but we had no trouble navigating. The location is a bit removed from restaurants and shops but the neighborhood is beautiful and very quiet.

We were pleased to find a place to stay in Bath that included the parking on site (I found for 3 nights parking it was expensive elsewhere and did not feel as safe) The breakfast was nice each morning and room too (we wish it was higher with a better view- we were lower ground) Staff were also lovely. Around a 20 minute walk to the city centre.
We wish we had a better view of Bath as we were lower ground, but room was nice. We also could only hold the window open with a bottle as is slid down! however not a big deal. We found the bed a little small for us as a couple. Uphill walk back to hotel was a little struggle, although I am pregnant! We did get a cab a couple of times to the city centre and was about £7. The parking was brilliant to have but on a slope which was a little tricky but manageable.

Excellent breakfast in a beautiful patio room, very helpful available staff, spacious room, comfortable bed, daily housekeeping, adequate parking onsite if you have a car. The staff provided a floor fan. The temperature was pleasant so we had no issues, but as stated in the propery description there is no AC. If you have upstairs room (we did not) there are only stairs with no elevator.
A bit of a walk into town on a hill which we knew about from past reviews.. The weather was great and we have no mobility issues so we were fine with the exercise. Once we returned for the day, we stayed. There are a few pubs to eat at within a short walking distance, but your choices are limited unless you go into town. You definitely need a taxi from the train station if you have large bags.

We had booked 3 rooms for our family of 5. All the rooms were beautifully designed and decorated. Each room had its own unique style. Very comfortable and clean rooms. 2 of our rooms had bathtubs, so we could get complimentary salts which smelted amazing! Great after a long day. Unfortunately we had a leak in our original bathroom, we were contacted and were allocated a replacement room which was just as beautiful as the original.
All the staff were great and welcoming Breakfast was great having 2 growing teenage boys and we all had a fantastic Full English breakfast. We were well accommodated with extras with boys wanting either an extra egg or sausage. The property is on a Hill so walking to city 15-20 minutes. Walking back end of day might be an issue for people who find it difficult to walk. This however wasn’t an issue for us.

A very pleasant place to stay in a nice part of Bath. It is about 10-15 mins walk downhill into the City centre plus you get plenty of exercise walking back up the hill on your return. The staff are friendly and helpful and the wonderful breakfasts are cooked to order. Rooms are clean and tidy and a little quirky which makes them feel personal. Car parking is provided, which is a bonus in Bath. It is tight, but well organised so you are guaranteed a space. Recommended
WiFi seemed a bit slow and temperamental in our room but that's a very minor negative

The hotel was lovely and we were fortunate to be upgraded to a larger room. It was well decorated and the little extras in the room were appreciated. The en-suite was great with a good shower. The location is ideal, its only a short walk to and from the city centre and although it looks like a steep hill is easily manageable.
The parking situation isn't great. Other cars had not parked well which caused us problems trying to squeeze into a tiny space. In hindsight we would have parked in the bays opposite the hotel where there was more space rather than struggling. The bed was very firm (fully appreciate you cant always keep everyone happy) and pillows too soft. Would benefit from some firmer pillows. Breakfast was disappointing, with images online suggesting a buffets style continental choice you actually had to ask for what you wanted. Whilst asking for something different from the menu I was disappointed with the small amount I was provided with and sausages not to everyone's taste.

Everything exceeded my expectations- from the warmth of the staff and welcoming atmosphere to the exceptional accommodation - like staying in a very special, much loved beautiful home. With its fresh, modern-classic wet-room and unique furnishings (from the luxuriously huge, comfortable bed and up-to-date choices of coffee pods/China tea pot and tea hags/Nescafé, to the gorgeous wet room, unique pieces of antique furniture, and great lighting, the room was perfect. Views too, and the whole house filled with oriental or antique or Modernist artworks and furnishings, living plants, and the relaxed yet completely professional staff you could imagine. Excellent breakfast and breakfast staff. An amazing free upgrade from a smaller room as the Sunday evening was quiet! Plus: parking space! I’ll be returning again and again…
The only thing that could be better would be a longer stay! And with my husband who I know would love it too! I fell in love with this place and these people, l and can’t wait to return.

Having decided to take the Wife away for a weekend of exploring in Bath I wanted to make sure we stayed in quality accommodation and The Dorian House Boutique guest house surpassed(and by a country mile) all my wife’s and I’s expectations! From the moment we arrived Bradley was on duty to welcome us and kindly offered to help with all our bags into reception. Dorian house is captivating and it embraces you from the moment you enter. After a brief but informational welcome talk from Bradley he showed us to our room(12) which is on the ground floor but high enough to look out to the City. The room itself is classy with the main features being the four poster bed and free standing wrought iron bath tub in the bedroom also. The bathroom was ideal with plenty of space and a double width power shower. The lovely little extras like the Nespresso machine, biscuits and chocolates impressed the Wife immensely. Breakfast is excellent too and having a staggered sitting time means Bradley and the team can cater for your every need swiftly and in a way where nothing is too much trouble. The fact that the Dorian use local quality suppliers makes the breakfast top quality in every way. At this mornings breakfast Bradley asked me what I would like to order and my response was..” Room 12 in 6 months time please!?”😂 To conclude on behalf of myself and my very happy Wife I would just like to say Thank you to all the team at the Dorian but especially to Bradley for all your help and advice as to making the most of our time exploring Bath and for making us feel so welcome. We WILL be back!👏👏👏

Beautiful house, room and bathroom, the garden was also very quiet and nice to relax in there. They cleaned the room daily, left snacks and tea there, which is a very kind gesture. The breakfast was amazing, and the staff was exceptionally helpful and nice during our stay. The neighborhood was pretty calm, clean and easy to access even by foot. 100% recommend
There is no air-conditioning in our room so it could get quite hot, however I also know that 30+ C is not the typical English weather to prepare for.
