Clifton House is a place that is a little bit separated from the town center, but there's plenty of transportation to reach it from there. I rented a single bedroom, which faced the street. The room was super comfortable, and the shared bathroom felt like it was my own. Everything in the place looks clean. The room was small, but it provided everything I needed. It has a private sink, a mini fridge, a TV, and a wardrobe. I even have things for ironing. In the area, there are some supermarkets to provision yourself with things. The location is really nice, but the best thing is the owner. I told him I needed to stay some time after the checkout because I had an interview (and pubs and coffee shops are not the best place to be doing those), and he let me stay for it. Thank you so much, Affan! If you're attending a convention and can't spend a lot, this place is the right one to choose. PS: I got the job, so it will even give you luck
Public transportation to the area can stop around 01:00, so it's good to have that in mind. Beyond that, taxis from the center to the house are not that expensive.

Excellent value and way nicer than is typical at the prices offered. Room was big, had everything you could really need and more (fridge, iron, hair dryer, kettle, TV, fan, even an electric radiator in case the central heating isn't enough). Very warm and well insulated, digital thermostats on the radiator to adjust temp to your liking. Amazing comfortable bed with lovely crisp linen and loads of pillows and cushions. Bathroom and toilets are shared but there aren't that many rooms so I never had an issue with clashing but may be best to shower in the evening just in case. Shower itself is amazing, massive rain shower and loads of space in the cubicle. Checkin is very self sufficient, simple and secure when arriving after open hours.
Nothing, really.

Portslade is a very ordinary suburb of Brighton, but it is in a convenient location for access, being near Portslade station which has regular trains to Brighton town centre which is only an 8 minute journey. The trains seem to run until well after 11pm. There was adequate free parking near the property. We did not meet the hosts, but they were very good at communicating and sent clear instructions about entering and leaving the property. The room was clean and comfortable.

This was a very last-minute booking as attending Goodwood. Perfect location for what we needed. The room was massive and extremely comfortable. Tea and coffee and mini fridge very much needed as was a very hot day. Affan the host went above and beyond when it came to parking moving his car so we could park and then reserving it again if we went out.
Nothing we didn't like. More towels in the room may be not essential.

I have been there a few times. So I know the facilities very well. Bathroom and Toilet facilities are within easy access to my Bedroom. A mini fridge was very helpful and useful. There was the option of an Iron and Board if necessary. It was clean, comfortable and homely. Very good kettle and drink facilities in Bedroom too.
I do wear wax earplugs, but got woken up in the night once by some children? dropping something on their floor, which was above me. But I quickly went back to sleep.

The family who run clifton house live next door, when they saw me struggling to park, they came out to help me pack. They helped me find the venue I was trying to access which Google maps couldn’t help with, they loaned me a charger, which I used throughout my stay. They are very helpful.-service with a smile. Location is great; with about 5 minutes walking distances to Tesco and Aldi and about 7 minutes to the train station. All together- I recommend

Very clean and well maintained guest house. Feels very secure and the host was extremely professional and friendly. I was worried a little about the shared bathroom but there wasn’t too many rooms inside to be a problem. Toilets clean, room quiet and comfortable, equipped with all the things necessary for a long/short stay. Thank you to the host for the treats left for my little son. :)

The cleanliness, comfort and location for where I needed to get to. Everything was clear and easy to access with regard to getting my key. A no nonsense, practical and well presented place to stay.
It would have been nice to meet someone who ran the guest house at some point. I understand the simplicity of accessing your key from outside in a key safe. Allowing yourself to come and go as try please easier than greeting each person who comes to stay. But it does feel very impersonal.

very efficient and effective way to book and obtain key to room. Room had all necessities and the bed was particularly comfortable. Good hot water in shower instantly. A good night's sleep was had and the main road was much quieter than I would have imagined
I arrived around 6.30 p.m and was unable to park close by. Next time I will arrive an hour or so earlier. Fortunately I only had an overnight bag so the 4 minute walk wasn't an issue.
