Mark was there to meet us when we arrived. He was friendly & welcoming and took time to show us around. We stayed in the Summerhouse on the property which was immaculate, spacious and very comfortable. Some basics such as milk and fruit juice had been for us. The garden at the properly is lovely and guests are welcome to relax on the benches provided and take in the view.
The property is on a steep hill which is a bit of a challenge if you don't have a car. However, we were given information about an alternative route to use which was easier. I wouldn't say this is a negative, just something to bear in mind if you have any mobility issues.

We didn't ask for breakfast but that was not a problem as tea/coffee , toaster and fridge were in the bedroom allowing us to make our own . The view from our room was amazing , we sat watching the ferry come and go and the lights at night were lovely to see . The villa grounds were beautiful .
The only one wee point that I'd make is I'd have liked a lock on bathroom door ,even just a snib . I get that it's a double room with double bed so your obviously going to be with your partner but I'd still like to be able to lock the door . Other than that no issues at all 😊

We loved this old house, the location, the fantastic views of the town/ harbour - even from sitting in your bed! and the general welcoming feel of the place. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, but equally left you in peace to enjoy your stay. Small kitchenette was ideal to heat up a meal in the microwave that we had ready prepared and fridge facility perfect. The glass work & wooden chair were very interesting too!
I asked for an item for the room and it was sorted straight away, but could do with replacing light bulbs in main light, which I hadn't mentioned & sure this would have been sorted too, if I'd asked.

Amazing location and view. Having a coffee on the terrace was perfection. There was a storm one of the nights we were there and it was so cosy being inside and listening to the wind. The car parking was easy and hosts were the best people.
Though the place was clean when we arrived, it was a little hard to not get it muddy after going for walks on the island. I’d recommend bringing slippers to switch into because the floor can be a little cold. Would have loved a way to make coffee in the flat other than instant; for now I’d recommend coffee lovers bring an aeropress and some ground coffee with them.

I liked that it was self sufficient, welcomed with tea and coffee and Jaffa cakes. We really appreciated the design of the chalet, and the view, location, privacy were ideal. Communication with Sophie was excellent we spoke before arrival and she gave us great recommendations for places to go and see.
Nothing too significant, as we really enjoyed our stay, but perhaps what would make it really stand out would be combining the practicalities with the vibe of the chalet, investing in little things that make a difference: i.e. find a safe way to attach the sky box to the tv set so it doesn’t dangle on top of a hot radiator, add nice curtains for cosiness, a towel hook or rack in the shower, add a soap dispenser/holder above the sink, soundproof toilet door and perhaps consider replacing the cold tiles in the main room.

I have to say Lillybank Villas are in a beautiful setting, nice and quiet with a stunning view across the bay. Sophie met us and was really helpful and was on hand for any questions we had through our stay. The room itself is lovely, tastefully furnished, with a microwave, fridge and the usual plates and cutlery. The house and gardens are beautiful. It is centrally located, easy to find and within easy walk to the town centre.
I would suggest you have a sleep mask at hand as the venetian blinds do not keep all the light out, and during summer, you will be awake early due to sunlight. Unfortunately, as noted by others, there is an issue with TV reception, and WiFi is slow. To be fair, according to others we met that stayed in other properties, this is an issue across the island. These are minor points

Sophie and her family were great hosts for our 2 night stay in Bute. The chalet is in a great location; with on site parking available. The chalet was clean, spacious and had all amenities needed for the stay. We also managed to see Willow, Sophie’s dog, who was adorable. It’s also near to a large Co-Op which allowed you to get any food. Room is equipped with a toaster, kettle, microwave and fridge. Would highly recommend, and we can’t wait to come back in the near future!

We hired the lodge in the garden and it was really fun! It contained a small kitchenette with Microwave, sink and fridge which we used and was perfect. There was some great items waiting for us when we arrived, including some local pastries, fruit, juice and yoghurt, which were all yummy. The view from the lodge over the town of Rothesay was lovely. It was good to see the ferry come in!! The Villa is a short walk uphill from the town. On the way is a Co-Op for your shopping! In the morning, we had some lovely breakfast rolls in town before heading off for an early ferry North of the island. Check in was seamless with Sophie waiting for us on arrival. The room had a nice electric fire which made the lodge really snug!
Was really nice, so nothing we didn't like.

We were highly delighted with our stay . Our host Sophie was lovely, so helpful , friendly and informative. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and during our stay . Sophie sent us information on where to visit , where to eat or have a drink during our stay . She also provided a complimentary breakfast pack in our room with fresh milk and fruit juice in the fridge . Our accommodation was central to the town centre, and minutes from the ferry terminal . We could not fault our accommodation , it was Immaculately clean , with Superior bed linen and Tastefully decorated . The apartment provided all that we needed for our stay . We had a very comfortable 2 nights stay in a lovely warm , cozy apartment with stunning views out to sea . We would definitely stay here again in the future .
There is nothing to give a negative comment about our stay . All was just perfect .
