Located in West Yellowstone and very convenient access the to office for check in/out. Office is nice and relaxing. Managers were very pleasant and professional. Room was clean, comfortable and the AC worked. Enjoyed coming back to my relaxing room after long days exploring the park.

Found The Aspen via online search however when I called the number to book I was forwarded to a 'booking agent' which resulted in an additional fee that was not communicated up front. I've learned since that I need to ask to be transferred to the hotel desk. Although rates are expensive around the entire Yellowstone area, this was less expensive than staying in the park.

The property is conveniently located to the West entrance of Yellowstone National Park. It was extremely well maintained with manicured lawns, beautiful flowering pots, nice patio area with comfortable seating, gas grills and Edison bulb lighting strung in the trees. Lobby was nicely decorated with complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and apple cider. There were games and tables. We stayed in the King Room which is located in a single story building with 8 rooms. The room was nice and quiet. I liked the layout of the room, the plush towels and comfortable mattress. The staff we encountered were very hospitable and the recommended restaurant ,TR Burgers, was the perfect spot for supper. The burger was fantastic and we enjoyed the Teddy Roosevelt slideshow.

For the price, I feel the room is a good value. The accommodations are kind of spartan and basic, but that's OK. It's clean and comfortable. The king size bed and bedding are comfortable. The noise machine is nice to cover the traffic noise beiing next to Hwy 20. We also have our own noise machine, so we had two going. I'd stay here again. Location is close to town, and a good breakfast restaurant is in walking distance.

It's not the Ritz, but we didn't pay the high price of a more deluxe room.

The comfort probably - i had a really good nights sleep, everything was clean and the staff was great, provided recommendations and answers to our questions.

I would only point out that outlets were missing next to the bed (at the bed side table), but we didnt have any issues charging our devices in other outlets in the room, so it’s just a small convenience thing.

It was the height of summer tourist season in West Yellowstone. Tea and coffee service were excellent and we were very happy that breakfast is NOT provided. A small refrigerator and microwave in the room allow warming a pre-cooked healthy meal if needed and just outside under the trees is a picnic table. The staff suggested places within walking distance to dine and find French pastries and custom-made sandwiches for later picnicking. The wave machine near the bed was a welcome surprise even though The Aspen is in a quiet setting. The building smelled good when we entered, the new carpet is comfortably padded, the large room was pre-cooled, and the King-sized bed was very comfortable with extra pillows and quality linens! The vanity sink and mirror outside the toilet and shower room is a must for two people to finish up at about the same time. Parking was very close and entry is from inside hallways. The Aspen is superbly updated, clean and "boutique size." The staff warmly and politely welcomed us at check-in and check-out. There is a laundry room across the lawn with no coin slots...I would assume use is free. Self-serve ice is in the same room. The Aspen and Booking.com kept us informed about the Yellowstone National Park flooding closures. We were comfortable about not canceling, and had a fabulous trip. The Aspen was priced competitively, lower than most other hotels. We would return in a minute.

The place was cute and very clean. It was nice to have a fridge, microwave, and hot water pot in the room. I needed something printed, and the front desk had me email it to her and she happily printed it for me. Much appreciated! Although I didn't use them, it was cool to see a BBQ area and laundry facility for guests.

I had to leave my room by 4 a.m. on Saturday, and could come back by noon, however I was told I couldn't have a later check-out than 11:30 a.m. Normal check out is 11. I asked if I could leave my bag, but they told me the office wouldn't open until 8 a.m. The suggested solution was to book another night. I was disappointed, especially because, if the room was available for another night, why couldn't they allow me to keep my bags in the room until midday? It would have made a huge difference, even if there was a nominal fee. Had I not had a kind person offer to come help me with my suitcase at 4 a.m. and leave it in their car, I don't know what I would have done. Also, although there were many pillows on the bed to choose from, they were all terribly hard and stiff.

Free hot coffee every day. I do wish they offered breakfast. There was a grill to cook on. 10 minute walk from down town. Quiet area. I couldnt hear our neighbors either. I love the layout of the room. Very comfortable beds. Air conditioner worked great. We got extra towels with no problems.

Very clean, clean enough for my young son to craw around the room without me worrying about filth from prior customers. Pretty flowers around the building. A comfortable place outside for grilling and relaxing. Pretty outdoor lighting. That staff was very helpful as well.

We could use a place for fresh drinking water somewhere on the premises, a filtered water station for filling up water bottles.

Our room was very quiet even though it was next to main street - no discomfort and didn’t use any ear-plugs; everything looks quite new and fine; enough parking spots; there is free laundromat for guests with clean quite new machines; staff was kind and helpful

Nothing really. I would add a safe-box to the room. Otherwise we had fridge, microwave, kettle. Also there is always coffee and tea at the reception. Hotel is just 10 mins walk from the town center and 5 mins walk from restaurants and market

Loved having hot water in the lobby. The receptionist even filled my water bottle for me when I was low. I needed something printed and they were kind enough to do that for me. I love that ice and laundry is accessible 24/7. Having a hot water pot and fridge in the room was awesome too. This was my second time staying at this hotel, and had a great stay both times.

The pillows are plentiful, but they are really bad. Lol! An upgrade to new pillows would make a huge difference!!!
