Overall, everything was great. TV wasn't plugged into anything. I plugged it into my laptop, but we ultimately didn't end up using it much. I could have called the front desk for help, but it wasn't that big of a deal for us. Room is smaller than it looks on pictures, but that's not a big deal, it was newly renovated and clean, beds were comfortable, pillows were nice, heat lamp in the bathroom is always nice. Blackout curtains did their job. The room was quiet, even though the street was noisy outside. Every room has a river facing balcony which was nice and catches the setting sun over the ridge. The roaring of the river is lovely. The hotel is about a mile or a little more round trip to walk into town, if you are walking to Calhoun's it's a hike. We did this everyday, a few times several of the days, especially since parking in town is a minimum of $20. Continental breakfast was warm and plentiful. We hit up Pancake Pantry one day in town, other than that, my husband and son were the waffle maker kings at the Baymont. The pool was nice and warm and closed in, once again, smaller in reality than the photos show. FYI- This hotel is around the corner at the beginning of Gatlinburg on the one of main roads going into town. You are walking uphill to get into town and downhill coming back. We were there to hike, eat and do touristy things so walking was an expectation and made us feel better gorging on pancakes and waffles. My mother, who's not a walker, would have struggled. This isn't a knock on the Baymont, it's just information for those of you making a decision for your family. In the four days we were there, I saw the actual trolley stop at our "trolley stop" just once. I also don't have the patience to wait when I can walk, so we didn't actually wait for it. I averaged a minimum of 14,000 steps everyday and several thousand more on hiking days.

The view was great. Within walking distance of restaurants and entertainment.

The receptionist. Checking in was awkward. My daughter and I walked up to the desk, and she was sitting in the back eating. I made eye contact with her, and she looked at me without a friendly smile or kind eyes. It made me very uncomfortable. Maybe the hotel can offer them a lunch/ dinner break.

Loved the distance to downtown Gatlinburg! The views of the balcony were exceptional!

There wasn’t free breakfast at the hotel. The front desk staff could of been a little friendlier. It’s off the main road so you could hear all the traffic all night so if you’re a light sleeper its not a good place to stay. The beds could be a little more comfortable. Our room was next to the elevator so you could hear people all night and you can also hear everyone going down the hall past your room all day. Once the main parking is full you need to park on the bottom floor but there is a sign that says the hotel isn’t responsible for stolen or damaged property.

Location was great.

Check in staff were unfriendly and very unwelcoming. Felt like I inconvenienced them when I checked in. At check out, same gentleman checking us in the night before checked us out. We left keys in room(like most hotels we frequent monthly do). Guy at check out asked for room keys..explained we left them in room. He seemed upset we did that. Perhaps making it understood they wanted keys personally back at check out would be helpful for everyone. Parking was horrible. Literally one parking spot available. Luckily our big lifted truck fit in last spot. I called ahead to make sure there would be enough parking...but there almost wasn't.

The staff was always so pleasant and the breakfast was a 10 out of 10. Being on the river is awesome the whole hotel has covered parking and the indoor pool was amazing I've stayed at other hotels with indoor pools and this one by far was the best when it came to the heat and the outdoor sitting area with the fireplace was great and also the pool and fire pit area was 24 hours that's just awesome. About a 10 minute walk from downtown, not too bad.

I didn't like that the coffee pot was missing its lid to the water reservoir I feel like that's something that should be changed as soon as it is noticed. The bed was so uncomfortable it was unreal and if you are staying in a room that is to your left right when you come off the elevators or the stairway if you're facing the hotel those rooms have a smaller balcony than any other room just FYI.

We loved the room and the view of river from it !! It's right on the river and you can hear it flowing which is so soothing. The location is right at the heart of Gatlinburg which is a bonus. Moonshine coaster is just a stone's throw. We loved everything about this place.

Can't think of any!

The hotel was clean and in a good location. It was just outside the bustle of downtown, but within a 10-minute walk of the activities. Being able to leave your car at the hotel and walk saves you from traffic and the cost of the public parking. All the rooms overlook the river with a balcony. You can sit out there and enjoy the babbling water below.

The water pressure was not great on the top floor, making rinsing my hair difficult. The pool was clean, but it's in a greenhouse type structure, and you can't see the outside nature. It's still a nice amenity. You can swim when it rains and such, but you can't access it from inside, so you still have to enter through a gate from outside. Our bed was pretty stiff which made sleeping a little difficult, though my kids had sifter beds in the connected room.

I really enjoyed everything! I am not a picky traveler and this was beautiful. Listening to the water rush while sitting on the balcony was perfect, the chairs were great and not cheap, water pressure was good, nothing fancy about the bathroom but it did have ample space with a fridge and microwave, breakfast was hot breakfast (which is always nice), never felt unsafe and my vehicle was fine the whole time, location was good for me but others may consider it far. it was a about 10-15 minute walk to the hustle and bustle but it beat paying those parking prices. there were businesses within a few minutes walk if you don't want to go all the way. loved this place! would def stay here again!

Bed frame was a little loud when moving but mattress was comfy.

Views are incredible. Location is conveniently just off the main strip. Ample parking during my stay. Breakfast could offer more options like croissants and hard boiled eggs. Staff were kind and accommodating. I could definitely stay here again.

The property is a bit worn. The windows at the pool could be replaced. The water running from the pool through a crack in the parking lot ceiling could be repaired. My main concern is always safety: These are the most insecure doors I've ever experienced in a hotel; you really have to be mindful that your door is closed and locked, as it will never truly feel closed and secure in the door frame. Scary stuff as a woman staying in a room alone. Multiple times I walked past other rooms that had not been secured and were just wide open! Wow, definite security issue. Fix the Doors!

Breakfast was good but with so many places to eat around area we ate light at the hotel. Parking on lower level was nice.

To far to walk into downtown and to cold to wait on trolley so we paid a small fortune to park.
