The room is a good size, considering it was described as a single room. I was allocated on the 4th floor. The staff were great! Very friendly and helpful:) The hotel offered a Basel Ticket, which was great, no need to worry about buying a public transport ticket. Plus, I used it to take advantage of the 50% discount on museum entrance tickets. The hotel does not offer breakfast, but complimentary coffee, water, juices, etc., are available in the lobby area.

The room temperature at times was a bit unbearable, even though the hotel provided a fan in the room. This comment is not a criticism; we are in the summer months with high temperatures.

Amazing stay in this lovely hotel added to general impression of Basel. Hospitable and supportive personnel, sterile cleanliness, comfortable room. The best location I could dream of during hot summer season. 5 minutes walk from the Rein enbankment where all locals enjoy drifting in Rein waters with Wickelfish air-safety sacks. This was my brightest adventure of this year so far. Highly recommend to try. The hotel is also not far from the centre. And NB! They offer a tourist card allowing free public transportation and 50% discount to museums (Kunstmuseum has reach paintings collection).

The hotel was the best choice for my 3 nights in basel! The location is very close from center town, it has a bus station in front of the hotel and great connections. I had a very nice and very clean room, all facilities needed and the stuff were extremely welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel in Basel! It was a comfortable and pleasant staying.

The breakfast was missing greens like tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers or anything to have near the protein, or a salad. There was no sliced bread, only croissants or small square breads that i cannot eat because of my present teeth treatment. Would be nice to ad these to the breakfast options.

Location if just outside of the old town. It's nice and peaceful. A short walk to the river, the old town. A short tram ride to the main railway station. The staff were exceptionally helpful. My friend lost his mobile phone. The hotel staff were extremely helpful, helping with lost property office details and police station details. Really very very helpful. The hotel has an Italian restaurant, the best pizza!!!

I've nothing negative to stay. Hotel is 3 stars. Very clean. Comfortable bed and good linen.

Excellent location, easy to get to/from railway station, walking distance to the Kunstmuseum and the old town. Super-clean. Nice staff. Nice breakfast. The room is small (I was ready for it), but comfortable for a few nights. Excellent value for money. Will come again.

I liked everything, however, people with significant mobility problems may find it difficult to walk up a few stairs from the elevator. Also, it is a bit noisy (transport) if the window is open; I am not sensitive to noise, but some people may be bothered.

The hotel is ideally situated and in a scenic position just over the river from the centre of Basel. You take tram number 2 from in front of the station and 4 stops later you arrive at Wettsteinplatz. The hotel is on the right hand corner of the platz. The single room was a good size with a tv and en-suite, which had a powerful shower and complimentary toiletries. The bed was so comfortable with cosy duck down filled bedding. Amazingly, for the price, a Basel travel card and breakfast were included. The breakfast was very good! Fresh pastries and rolls, continental style meats but also cereal, fruit and yoghurts. The staff were very helpful and cheerful and offered me coffee on my arrival. The restaurant on the premises is also excellent and prices are very reasonable, especially the “midday menu”.

Nothing. I stayed here on two separate nights on my way to and from Lucerne and both times everything was perfect.

The room had a great size bed, and good area to store luggage. Loved the breakfast option, what a great start to the morning. Also the staff was really great, very helpful and welcoming. Lastly the location, excellent whether you want to walk into the city or hop on public transportation which is free with the Basel Card.

While the bed is a nice size, one has to sacrifice room size. Not a huge deal if you are sightseeing like I was. The elevator didn't open flush to the floor, normally fine but with a good amount of luggage one still needs to walk a few stairs up/down.

Excellent location right at tram stop and also only few minutes walk to centre. Lovely restaurant in hotel. Very quiet area so no noise to keep you awake. Staff were lovely and friendly. Got there few minutes before check in time and was given lovely coffee while we waited a few minutes

Only one pillow in room but when asked for more they got more for us. Also double room was 2 singles bed pushed together would prefer double bed

The hotel was clean and very warm. Beds were comfortable. All staff were polite and the hotel restaurant food was really good. I followed the hotels advice and used bus 50 from the airport to the SBB train station then crossed the road and caught tram 2 to the hotel. This was very easy and the hotel is right in front of the tram stop. Returning to the airport we used tram 1 to the SBB then bus 50 to the airport. With Basel tourist card the travel was all free. Museums and shopping are all in close proximity.

I only had one pillow and it was too soft. However, if I asked I would probably have been given another one.

The place is great, the staff was very friendly and the free breakfast was also very good.

The only downside during my stay was the weather — it was extremely hot (34°C), and unfortunately, the room didn't have air conditioning. Even with the fan on full speed, the nights were uncomfortably hot, making it very difficult to sleep well.
