This exceeded every expectation. The owners and staff were friendly, extremely helpful with tips and arranging reservations for a guided tour in town. Their care for you as a guest starts even before you arrive by sending thorough, useful information on how to get to the house and where to park (we would have been lost otherwise, as our plane was quite late and we were sleeping on our feet by the time we got on the road). The room was beautiful and spotlessly clean (and I'm quite nitpicky regarding cleanliness). The breakfast was lovely, genuinely local if, like everywhere in Portugal, a bit skewed towards the sweet (nowhere else have I seen yogurt served sweetened). I truly hope to get back to Angra one day just to stay here again.

I will die on this hill and keep putting it in all my reviews until something changes: hotel/B&B owners need to realize that people bring their own shower products and put in some shelving either when designing the shower stalls, or afterwards. People need a place to put their facewash and shampoo! This should be a human right :)

Comfy clean and central bed and breakfast. Hosts Helena, Sergio and reception team were fantastic and provided 5 star service with our late check in and tips about the island. Breakfast was good with local products and could be had on an outdoor terrace.

A bit of noise from street and corridor and room was on the small side but this is a natural trade off when staying in a building with some history. Hotel road is steep and parking appears to be limited for residents but there is free parking a short walk up the hill.

We stayed at Memória Charming House and were absolutely delighted! The hosts are incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly people who genuinely care for every guest. The food was amazing—each dish was lovingly prepared with high-quality ingredients, so we enjoyed excellent breakfasts. Everything was spotless, tidy, and the cozy atmosphere made us feel right at home. I truly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, friendly, and flawless stay!

When I was thinking about whether to book this hotel, I did my research and saw there were so many 5-star reviews. I thought it was a bit fishy, like it was too good to be true, but still booked it anyway. After staying there for 3 nights, now I know the many glowing reviews were left by the actual customers! The owners, Helena and Sergio, are such lovely people! I always had excellent chats with them and they kept checking up to make sure that I had everything that I needed. Beatriz is an angel and was so patient spending hours introducing me to Terecira in detail and helping me book the taxis and tours that I requested so last minute. The hotel is filled with many artworks and every detail is so thoughtful. Right down to how the rooms don't have numbers but are named after local writers with a quote on the room wall. Many breakfast items are sourced locally and they have different fresh cakes every day. The hotel in a very convenient location and a few minutes away walk from the main street with restaurants and shops. The room is also very quiet and I'm a light sleeper. I highly recommend staying with them!

Nothing at all!

This was one of the best places I've ever stayed in. It was easy to find, near the center of Angra and it is perfect base for exploring Terceira. At the check-in, girl at the reception gave amazing recommendations on what to visit, activities, restaurants. Room was clean, nice, more as a hotel amenities in general. Breakfast was rich, most of it local or homemade: jams, butter, local cheese and salami, different selection of pastry, cakes, orange juice, coffee, cereals. Owners were kind, always checking on you and giving advices. Price was reasonable, great value for money. Overall amazing experience and I would recommend everybody to stay here.

Helena and her staff, Beatriz and Sofia were wonderful. We had a terrible experience with he airline to Azores and despite us missing one night in our planned stay they went above and beyond to make us feel relaxed and welcome. Their kindness, wisdom in guiding us on what to visit were key for us to enjoy our time in lovely Terceira

This was better than most hotels! Clean rooms and very helpful staff, always willing to give personalized ideas and suggestions on things to do around the island. Provided breakfast alternatives to accomodate allergies, upon request, which was very appreciated. 5-star service with family-style charm. Highly recommend!

The owners (Elena and Sergio) and the staff (Beatriz and Sofie) are the most attentive we have ever encountered! Extremely gracious even from before we arrived, they arranged transportation from the airport for us and Sofie stayed late to check us in after a very late flight. Next morning, Beatriz gave us a five-star presentation about Terceira and things to do, how to get around, etc., and made reservations for us as needed. The breakfast on the terrace is filling and includes homemade goods! Exceptionally clean rooms and bathrooms, very secure. Convenient parking! We cannot recommend Memoria Boutique Hostel enough! They even made us little breakfast to-go boxes for an early checkout. They really made us feel like family.

Excellent breakfast if you are after healthy eating and coffee - homemade granola, fruit, chia seeds or sunflower seeds, breads, cakes, homemade spreads, cheese and meat tray. Very helpful staff - Sophia, Elena and Swen all made us feel very welcome and shared many insights about the area. King bed was great, room was very comfortable. Shower quickly heated up and great pressure. Easy walk to many sights.
