Location of the hotel is by the busy road, it might distract ones sleep at night. There is the access to the beach but only to the beach - to the sand and ocean, no shades or umbrellas for the hotel guests.

We visited as a couple... no kids.... to celebrate a milestone birthday. Hotel Mio was in a good location between the airport and downtown, but really near a good selection of restaurants. It was quiet in/near our room. We didn't hear many people coming and going or noise from the nearby rooms. Room service was delivered on time and the employee delivering it was nice. There were 2 different types of pillows in the room (4 total) and was able to find one that worked for me. The shower was nice and big with good water pressure.

The beds lacked support and I woke up with back pain. There were no washcloths for showering and no luggage racks for suitcases. On our second night the AC malfunctioned and the room got really warm. Took maintenance about 20-30 minutes to come up and get it fixed. Even 8-9 stories up we could hear road noise with the balcony doors closed.

Loved the friendly staff, the breakfasts, the pool & views. Everything was so beautiful and clean!

I had a pair of shorts and my chapstick go missing during my stay... it was there when I left in the morning, but gone when I returned in the afternoon..

The food, the room, the pool, the bar the jacuzzy, the staff, it's a nice place

There are no sun loungers on the beach. We went 2 years ago and there were sun loungers on my beach, but now the security at the friendly beach kicked us off the sun loungers even though there were no people there.

. Everything else was great. The staff was very helpful. The room was clean. The pool was very enjoyable.

The room was not quit like we asked for. The traffic kept me awake. The air conditioner did not work well but they did finally fixed it

The buffet breakfast was excellent. There was enough variety for anyone’s taste. I particularly loved the server feeding the iguanas 🦎 that is awesome. Shows care and concern for more than just people.

Magnificent views. Wonderful lounge chairs. Excellent service in the entire hotel. Comfortable bed and room. Beach access.

I never figured out who The DJ music is geared towards since most of the guests were mid-30s and retired people. I unfortunately had to leave the beautiful sunset views because of the glaring music. It was music for 20 year olds. When the music wasn’t playing I could hear great music from the hotel nearby. I wasn’t told at check in there was complimentary coffee which I had to discover, or that when I used the key for the elevator the key needed to be held to the sensor until the light had to be green Another guest told me. I am not a big breakfast eater and there were no options for a la carte items or pastries. Take earplugs because the hotel is on a busy street.

Loved all the modern amenities of the hotel. The pool was outstanding and all the servers were great. The breakfast was a great value and made starting the day easy. Good wifi connection and all rooms were well equipped. It would have been nice to have a bit more room in the tiny fridge but it was ok.

My wife and I are early risers. I would have liked to have coffee availability earlier than 7am. Also, the coffee machine was very slow when several people were waiting to use it and the coffee cups were tiny. I would suggest adding an additional coffee bar with just regular coffee with larger cups. It was a long way from our room, down the elevator and back to the room for so little gain.

Room 802 The balcony door couldn't close completely, and the noise from the street and bars was loud.

Nice roof top pool with bar and food services, great view of Puerta Vallarta. Rooms big and clean with private balcony, safe and fridge. Staff all friendly and helpful. Location close to food court, malls and grocery stores. Located just after hotel zone and a short bus ride to Malecón(10 pesos). Pool not so cool and hot tub not so hot could correct both for better experience. Only issue is not the hotel- but street noise from cars, trucks and motorcycles travelling on roughly built 8 lane road out front. My wife and I would definitely stay here again. We had partial mountain and ocean view as hotel sits perpendicular to beach. Other side views hotel zone and marina cruise ports . Mio guests venture down to Friendly Hotel(3 minute walk)to utilize sandy beach but there are no umbrellas or covered shade(there were guys renting umbrellas). Nice sandy beach you can walk up and down or swim in area monitored by lifeguard.

30 peso cost for each coffee(small cup)refill. Although they have free coffee outside restaurant, it was not really hot
