Spacious room, really comfy beds, very smart ensuite bathroom. Tea, coffee, and milk provided, along with toaster and kettle. Games and books available on landing, and TV in room. Comfy armchair, table and extra seat useful for eating meals. Delicious fresh fruit, yoghurt and croissants left in fridge for breakfast .

The only thing wrong was the shower. First of all it was completely cold, even after running for a long time. I was about to give up when it suddenly sprang into life with warm water, then after a while it suddenly went absolutely scorching, and wouldn't cool down, even on the lowest temperature setting. Beware with children.

Location not far from the airport, the facilities, late night access, the comfort...

The price of the taxi from and to the airport which made the stay prohibitively expensive, but that is not the fault of the hotel. If I had a car it would make sense or if the hotel and other hotels in the area got together and organised a shuttle for a reasonable price, it would make a lot of sense.

An easy taxi ride away. We were arriving late so the hosts sent us instructions for entering the property which was straighforward. The room was spacious, comfortable with two twin beds and a single bed. The shower room was separate from the bathroom and both fully tiled and new-looking with soft waffle-style towels. The room itself, as with the rest of the house, is old but quaint and clean. We were very comfortable and slept well. Breakfast, had we opted for it, would have been left in the fridge, even so there was a coffee machine, a kettle, tea and biscuits.

It was close to Stansted Airport and I was able to leave my car for the week for a small charge. I stayed the night before my flight and the night I returned. I stayed in the Aqua room on my 1st night and the Blue room on my return. Very comfortable and clean rooms, a lovely breakfast in the fridge and tea and coffee and refreshments. The owners were very accommodating and dropped me at the airport, rather than me calling for a taxi. Perfect start and end to my holidays. Will definitely stay again next time I fly from Stansted

Proximity to the airport. At day time it’s even possible to reach by foot. Typical old English house with very comfortable bed in quiet place. As far as I understood from description, I was lucky to have room with en-suite shower. The hosts were very kind and welcoming, responded quickly and explained everything very clear about how To get to the house late at night. It’s very comfortable also if you travel by car. There’s beautiful garden with plenty car spaces.

The place is very cozy, they packed the place with anything you might need, there were a lot of useful extras, had a small problem and they solved it immediately, price was really good, room was full of informations with everything you might need.

Didn't received the email with the self check-in instructions so had to call, but they helped me immediately. The shower had a noisy leak (intermittent, coming from the wide dish-like nozzle on the roof) that disrupted my sleep. Room Aqua.

Communication, check-in and overall stay went really well. The breakfast in the fridge was nicely planned and coffee, tea and water waiting for us were really delightful. The bathroom was just lovely as well as the general design of the room.

The house is so cute but due to the pretty old and dirty carpets the overall feeling was a bit untidy. Unfortunately the nearby road was also very loud and the garden a bit abandoned - wasn't quite as idyllic as in the pictures.

There are no staff it is a self-check-in. Personally I found it very difficult to find - largely because it has the address as Smiths Green - it is NOT in Smiths Green but Dunmow Road on the corner before Smiths Green - as an irate resident of Smiths Green who has the misfortune to live in a house painted white - clearly I wasn’t the first

Property is great if you’re flying out from Stansted and live in Broadstairs

Fantastic location close to Stanstead airport. Lovely rustic setting in tranquil garden able to leave car for duration of holiday fantastic sole use roll top bathroom in a period property. Owner exceptionally helpful left us a wonderful selection of vegan friendly continental breakfast items.

Could not fault at all. Homely setting where owner lives in a separate part of building if you are looking for the usual commercial feeling of a travel lodge type accommodation this is not the setting for you.

Only stayed for 1 night but the room was great. Very comfortable king size bed, Kettle, toaster, coffee machine all in the room but the best thing for me was the heated bathroom floor! Check in was very easy and only 5 minutes drive from the airport. For anybody looking to eat locally we had a superb Sunday lunch at The Lion and Lamb a mile away on the same road.
