The location is perfect, only 5mins walk from the port! I would recommend you do NOT ride the horse carts, don’t support animal cruelty, just carry your own luggage. The staff are all incredibly kind and helpful with anything you need. The rooms are a little worn, but have everything you need and are clean. Also the front sun loungers are reserved for guest which I loved.

The water pressure was weak. Also on the last day there wasn’t any water, probably got fixed but the only thing I can think of.

This is a place that feels like magic from the moment you arrive. The staff are incredible, we really appreciated everyone and how they treated us, always greeting us with big smiles, high fives and accomodating our every need. A big shout out to Adi & Ali! We travelled with our 8 year old daughter and she had the best time, we felt so safe with her wandering around as the staff were always keeping an eye on her aswell and entertaining her. I love that the accomodation and restaurant are on the beach as this is the one place that you can truly just chill and relax all holiday long and don't have to go anywhere else if you chose not too.

The windows need coverings on them like blinds or curtains as it is hard to sleep at night with how much light enters the room. The towels need an update, they are worn down, hard and have stains and holes. Also the noise from the restaurants surrounding the hotel can be loud at night especially when you're trying to sleep.

Location was amazing ! Breakfast with beach views on the sand . Staff were amazing and friendly , cared for your every need . The food was delicious , best on the island Best cocktails on the island , Air con wasn’t great , I’d your a hot sleeper , kind of a basic room for the price , The restaurant and surroundings were defiantly a highlight . Would 100% go back

Air con Rooms need for shelfs / open storage

The property was beautiful in fantastic settings. Small sweet looking bungalows. We stayed in the family room. A bit worn in places which gave it a rustic feel, which we didn’t mind at all. There was a swimming pool where the children could play. The bar and restaurant area was superb, with beach seatings. Very atmospheric with tasty food and amazing cocktails. We would recommend the ‘Green Chili Martini’ at Sunset. You are literally ‘staying’ on the beach, 30 second to walk from your bungalow. The staff were super friendly and made us feel very welcome at all times! The location was great, with a few other options of restaurants, bar and a shop. We would definitely recommend Mowie’s!!

Fantastic location on the island, and right on the beach but also offering nice pool. Property is a range of different bungalows (about 16 - a nice size so not too many people). All nicely appointed with comfortable beds with mosquito nets (and all have terrace or little deck you can sit on). Has its own bar/restaurant with fantastic staff. As a guest you can reserve beach sun lounge with umbrella for the day). They also put beanbags with table on beach which is great for watching the sunset every evening. Also close to other restaurants and 10 minute walk to jetty where all boats arrive (very handy as the only transport on island is horse and cart so very good if you just have one bag or backpack so you can walk to accommodation).

I had seaside bungalow which was beautiful - bathroom had west facing bathroom roof so it was always very hot in there. Shame because it had a big bathtub but it was generally too hot and stuffy to use - would recommend for this room air con be put in bathroom). Also this bungalow and others near it get a bit of music noise from restaurant ( it is next to restaurant). Hot bathroom and music was not an issue for my travel companions ( and their rooms also lovely and well appointed). Rooms do have little fridge but no kettle for a morning cuppa - having said that, we asked for kettle and they happily provided.

Mowies is so beautiful and peaceful, only a small complex, which makes it unique only a short stroll to beautiful beachside restaurant and sun loungers, staff are so welcoming and always happy and smiling, probably the best staff i have ever met and it shows because they have all worked there for around 10 years which is credit to Mowie, nothing is too much trouble, food is amazing and super tasty probably the best on the island, ice cold beer. I don't have a bad word to say about the place...only availability, you have to get in quick! I'll be back for sure, sorry mainland bali won't be coming back for a while 😉

We spent three nights here and were absolutely delighted with our stay. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy every moment. The staff deserves special praise. They are attentive, responsive, and truly pleasant people. They handle any questions related to tourism around Gili professionally and with care. It was also wonderful to see how much effort they put into maintaining the beach, the tables, and creating a welcoming space for guests. The restaurant is outstanding. The chef prepares a fantastic tuna steak, easily one of the best we have ever had. Every dish is fresh, flavorful, and served with great attention to detail. The place itself feels like paradise: a beautiful beach with soft sand, stunning sea views, and a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. This is definitely a spot we would love to return to again and again. A big thank you to the Mowie’s team for making our holiday so special!

This is the best place you can stay in -Gili air! Property is located at10 min walk from the port;(yes,you may carry you baggage, you don’t need to pay 10usd to get the horse ride for such a distance,useless you want to);the 3 major advantages are:location-bet beach-nicest water-nice sunset view; great food-maybe the best we have had in our entire trip to Indonesia;nice and clean room-basically on the beach and last nut not least great staff; we walked around the island and i could not recommend any other place;on the beach there is a little debris so you would need some water sandals to be able to get in, but other than that great!also the accommodation has a nice pool-the pool is actually nicer than in the pictures.

Stayed for 4 nights could have stayed longer. A very popular well managed establishment that gets booked out well in advance,great staff,good vibe

Very close to the beach. Staff were very helpful. Great pool to cool off, fridge to keep drinks cool. Spacious room with hammock and seating area outside. Sunsets outside property are amazing.

Air conditioning could have been cooler, we did ask to fix it and they said we could change rooms but decided against it. We were provided with a fan to help. Only 1 mirror in the bathroom quite high up. Not much storage space for clothes. Party nearby on Saturday nights. Sea was quite rough outside property with lots of broken coral. Bring reef shoes.
