There was no breakfast and that was disappointing

The front desk person was the same woman both checking-in when we arrived and out in the morning. She was not welcoming, seemed bored. Our room was not ready when expected and we were happy to walk on the beach until ready but asked where could I use a bathroom. She said the closest one was a Shell Gas Station miles away. No bathroom on site I could use while waiting for our room. In the morning check-out is at 11am . She was on a break and I waited 15 minutes to get a hard copy receipt. Why would the only front desk person take a break at check-out time.? While I was waiting for her other guests also waited and then left because her break was long. A housekeeper came in and told us ‘the lady is on a break!’ Awful on both arriving and leaving.

Exceptionally clean, very comfortable and spacious rooms. I’ve been staying here at least twice a year for almost 10 years and keep returning. The rooms feel very private because of how the building are laid out you don’t get passing foot traffic in front of your room. Grounds are nice, the pool is kept warm enough to enjoy too.

I wish they would bring back their own breakfast room because the facility they’ve partnered with for delivery does run out of food frequently so it’s unreliable. The front desk is always kind and friendly and they have snacks and wine for sale which is a nice comfort.

The location is perfect. Right in the middle of Moonstone walk. The beach is just on the other side of the road you pull up to the in from. Walking distance from the beach "boardwalk" areas, and a quick 3-5 min drive to downtown where most of the coffee shops and stuff are.

The suite was a cool spot and the bedroom was very nice. I just wish the couch bed were more comfortable. When I pulled it out, there was just a mattress, no bedding. It looked like the inside and underneath needed a vacuum job. I had to go ask for sheets, and then go back and ask again for extra covers because it was still cold.

The location is unbeatable. Breathtaking views (outside the room) and a few yards to the amazing boardwalk where we took morning walks and enjoyed sunsets. The gas fireplace was a great feature and was very needed because there is no heater! The first night was chilly and then we discovered a space heater to use the next day and night. Nice dressing area, big restroom. It was a good sized room overall.

The $5 per small bottle of water! There were small tags attached to the bottles, but we thought they were coupons or something. We could barely read them and deciphered them after we had the water. It is very normal for hotels to have bottles of water sitting out for one's consumption. I am used to only paying when we take something out of a fridge. This is the only major complaint that we had, but it seems so petty to charge $5 for each $2 bottle on top of the premium room rates.

The property is right on the ocean with just steps to the beach. There are restaurants close by and downtown Cambria is a 2 minute drive away. The hotel itself reminds me of a cottage style motel. The buildings are horseshoe shaped and sit back from the parking lot. The double queen room we had was huge and bright. Everything seemed newly renovated and well appointed. The fireplace was a nice touch. The beds were extremely comfortable to sleep in which is something I worry about because I have back issues.

Moonstone beach was beautiful. I loved walking my dogs on the boardwalk & listening to the gentle waves while I slept. I loved the little extras like the firepit and the benches facing the ocean view. The Jacuzzi and pool looked great. I enjoyed the kitchenette. Wish I had stayed longer! Stopped by the town and did a little shopping. Cute!

The firepit made a loud hissing sound when the gas flame was turned on. Still the views were great and the chairs were wide and comfy

Love staying here rooms are always clean n they are so big, not stinky like some other hotels around that area. Pool area with them fire pits are always nice 2 at night to sit n relax!

No Breakfast or food included in high room price. Would b nice if they have a vending machine or a place to get food/snacks at night. Wished Fiji water in rooms weren't extra $5.00 a bottle! A small water bottle for free would be nice at least, to show appreciation since I paid over $350 for one night stay.

Location was perfect, staff was very pleasant, bed was very comfortable.

Floor was not clean. Looked like someone had walked through the gravel/sand on premise and then into the room before we got there. Mostly just in the entryway. Not a huge issue. We were at the beach, after all. Also, it would be good to do some deep grout scrubbing on the bathroom floor occasionally. The grout appeared to be black moldy. There again, you’re in a damp location that lends itself to mold.

There was no breakfast offered at this location…. I really wish they offered it. That being said, our one-bedroom accommodation was very comfortable for us. We really enjoyed our time there and look forward to going back there again sometime.

No breakfast offered and if I were getting a bit picky only one tv control for two tvs in two separate rooms. Plus the lighting in especially the livingroom was very low…it was extremely hard to read there at night. One last thing… the lighting in the bathroom was so low I couldn’t put my make-up on for the wedding. The rooms just need better lighting.

Very clean and the location is awesome

They sent an email a couple days prior to check in offering early check in with a fee and we opted to do this and then when we arrive we were met with a rude clerk who said there were no early check ins available! We paid to check in at 1:00 and wasn’t able to check in till 3:30 yes they refunded our early check in fee but I would have rather checked in early as planned. Very disappointed
