Reading through some of the negative comments I can just shake my head at how entitled and sheltered some of these “travellers” are Firstly this place is a “boutique” hotel meaning it’s a small central location with limited on site entertainment It’s prime position, You’re in the absolute hub of Asakusa so get out and explore The rooms are absolutely spotless and well Maintained Some are larger than others , we stayed in the smallest room as a couple and it was perfectly fine . Toilet/shower/bath unreal Bed fantastic Sun blocking curtain outstanding Breakfast had to be preordered and a time booked in for seating. And you can only chose a western meal or a Japanese meal. For us this wasn’t a big deal and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic. If you are too precious to follow protocol, just don’t pay for breakfast and head out in the morning to one of the millions of shops / convenience stores and source it yourself Location is freaking amazing next to market, temple and business’s The subway is only about 500 metres away The gentleman at reception was absolutely fantastic and he made the best coffee we had this time in Japan . The young Japanese girl there was also very helpful If you want to complain about English how about you learn some Japanese first Over all our stay was fantastic

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The location is absolutely ideal – it’s very easy to reach by public transportation, with a metro station just a short walk away. Most of the main attractions are only a few steps from the hotel. The room was wonderful, featuring a traditional tatami bed which added a unique and comfortable touch to the stay. It was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was optional, which was a nice flexibility, and the quality and variety offered were very good. It was a great way to start the day. What really stood out was the helpfulness of the staff. They were incredibly kind and went above and beyond – even printing our boarding passes for free, which was a huge help. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its location, comfort, and outstanding service. Would definitely stay here again!

The location was excellent, next to lots of shops, places to eat, and train stations. Our room was very quiet, like it didn't seem that anyone else was there! Could not hear any outside noise. AC made it very comfortable. Check and check out was really easy after registering beforehand. Bathrooms were very clean. Bath and shower had excellent water pressure. Deep tubs were nice to soak in after long days of walking. The tatami and futons were comfy for us. The closet area was good for our luggage. The water dispenser in the room was very convenient.
The light above the bed did not work. With 4 people and 4 beds set out, its really cramped in the room, not a lot of space to move around. I hurt my foot on the raised tatami platform trying to walk around it.

Lovely small hotel in the centre of Asakusa. Surrounded by markets and restaurants. Well presented hotel with a small bar selling craft Japanese beers. Bathroom had a spacious bath which was wonderful after a full day walking. A good accommodation choice. Central and convenient. Staff were lovely. I would happily stay at Asakusa Kaede again.
A good boutique accommodation choice if you are not intending to spend much time at the hotel. The rooms are small and it has no formal lobby space to sit around. Not a problem for us as there is so much to see/ do out and about.

The room was clean and comfortable. The location was great. There was a lot to see in Asakusa in a short walk from the hotel. it was also close to train stations, so you could easily take the train to other parts of Tokyo. We loved the water dispenser in the room. It was so hot and humid, and I had a cold, so it was nice to be able to keep getting clean water without having to get it from the bathroom or purchase it. Air conditioning was great. The staff were kind and responsive. We mistakenly thought we had paid for a breakfast inclusive room, so we unintentionally sprung extra breakfasts on the staff at the last minute (before 9pm the night before, but still late) and they adapted and got us food in a timely manner, even though they had not expected us. The breakfast was good. One of us got the western breakfast and the other got the Japanese breakfast. The yogurt and sandwiches in the western breakfast were great. The fish and other elements of the Japanese breakfast were also good. My son, age 13, liked the egg salad sandwich. We enjoyed tasting some Japanese whisky and beer at the bar.

We really liked being in a small hotel and found Asakusa to be an excellent area from which to visit Tokyo. It is pleasant to walk around and near good public transportation lines.
The hotel was perfect. As first time travelers to Japan a list of general local information such as nearby restaurant recommendations and luggage transport services would have been useful to us.

You can't beat this location. It's practically on Sensoji temple grounds, on a side street just off the main shopping / tourist areas. Despite being right in the action of Asakusa, it was perfectly quiet at night, as the street out front most shuts down at a reasonable hour. Aside from the temple, you have quick access to a metro station, a 7-11 only 30 seconds from the front door, and Hoppy Street, Donki, and Uniqlo a very short walk away. The rooms are quite small, but perfectly functional and comfortable. You don't come to this area to spend a lot of time in your room anyway. I appreciated the water dispenser and air purifier in the room. The staff are outstanding.
There are a few things that could be better. First, the pillows suck. I asked for an extra one and was told, "We don't have extra pillows." I've travelled broadly and that's the first time a hotel has told me that. If you want your room cleaned, you need to ask them before 1pm that day. If you don't read the info card in the room, you can easily miss that. Also, if you want them to book a taxi for you, they need to know before 6pm the day before.

Location is on a quiet street right in the middle of Asakusa, very short walk to Sensoji temple and around 5 min. walk to Asakusa Station. Plenty of food options and convenience stores, you could never run out. Yamato transport is also only 2 blocks away if you're planning to send your luggages to a different city. The room was quite spacious for Tokyo, and at a good value. Room size was appropriate for our family of 3 with a young toddler, but I don't see it being comfortable for 3 adults or even 2 adults and a teenager. Bathroom was spacious and comfortable. Loved the in-room water dispenser. There's a small lounge area in the lobby that we could use to eat our take outs late at night, order drinks etc. Staff were great! Always available, very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Daily room cleaning was great, which we didn't expect for the price. Overall an excellent stay!
The corridors and elevator were very small, we're quite small in stature so it was fine for us, but I imagine it could be a problem for those with bigger build. We didn't need to do laundry as we stayed in the beginning of our vacation, but a laundry room would be very nice. Didn't explore coin laundry options in the area.

The location was great, the staff was very courteous and tried to do everything possible to make our stay comfortable. The amenities in the room were good :comfortable beds, nice bathroom, water dispenser for hot water. There is also a little breakfast place in the lobby in case you want to eat at the hotel
The room was very small , there are two beds and the tatami raised floor, you would need to setup futons. The pictures do not do justice. There is not enough room to open a suitcase.

This hotel is very well located in Tokyo, in a quiet street but steps away from a beautiful temple and a busy shopping neighborhood full of restaurants. It's also very easy to travel anywhere in Tokyo with the subway minutes away and on a convenient line. The room was super clean and breakfast was good.
For four people the room was fairly small. It was fine for us as we travel light and have experienced teenage travelers but some families might find it too small.
