I rarely write comments in a review, but this time I have to! First of all, I want to express my gratitude to the hotel staff. Thank you for such hospitality. You are a Real Team and your management should know this :-) !!! Special thanks to Patricia at the reception, you are the Heart of this hotel! When a Professional is in his place and treats guests with such care, we felt at home, even better, cause this was Italy! :-)) The hotel is in a great location, 1 minute to the park with the beach, the Port is a 5-minute walk, there are boats which bring you to any island or neighboring towns, along the way there are restaurants and cafes with excellent Italian coffee. A supermarket with everything you need is 2 minutes from the hotel. View from the balcony on the lake is stunning. But even if the windows are overlooking the garden - there are wonderful mountains! we were with a small Spitz, I did not warn about this in advance, while we were checking-in and taking luggage from the car - water and a mat for the dog were brought to the room. The hotel is 100% pet friendly! We were a large group of friends, 12 people, and everyone was very pleased with the stay at the hotel. Baveno and Residence Carl&Do HIGH RECOMMENDED !

The hotel is in a great location, with spacious and clean rooms that are equipped with air conditioning. We appreciated the free parking available around the hotel and the convenience of having a great supermarket just around the corner. The staff was extremely helpful and assisted us with whatever we needed. The hotel also provides free access to a pool which is 5 minutes drive from the hotel

Parking at the hotel comes at an extra cost, and although we always found a place to park, the free parking around the hotel was sometimes a bit far. Additionally, the apartment's decor felt a little old-fashioned.

A perfect location. A large living room. Friendly staff. Good air conditioning. In-house car park.

I understand this is a residence and not a hotel but it would have been nice to have the towels changed ( though when I asked there was no problem). There were not enough shampoo/soap, there was not enough soap and utilities for dishwashing. We were 4 adults and a baby. One room was comfortable, and the other was two single separated beds(!) so my wife and I slept separately, as if we were two children…..were quite disappointed ( though probably it was written in the booking). Quite a steep fee for the garage ( 16€ per day), and I did let like the “tipping” which is suggested at the end. I was never asked to tip a “hotel”.

This is our third time staying here and we would stay here again in the future. Everything was great. Compliments to the very friendly, helpful and compentent staffs, all of them were very fluent in English and some also fluent in German, which was great for us.

We find that the aircond was not cool enough this time around. Our stay was in August, so the weather was generally hot 30 to 35°C. Still the appartment was at a comfortable temperature, so no complaints, just an observation.

The facilities overall. It's not the first time we staied at Carl & Do and we like it!

We were 3 couples and we had to move some matrasses to sleep together as a couple. Good thing is that when we told it to the staff, they replied: whatever you need to do to make yourself comfortable In the beginning when there was an agreement whth the adventure park for the swimming pool, it was great. Bit now you need swimming caps and there where large groups of children in the pool every day. Much prefere to have the choice to go to the pool at Grand hotel Dino like before the adventure park was build

This visit was our second to this property. The space in the rooms is very good with everything you need for a comfortable self catering stay. Sitting out on the balcony in the early morning and evening was very pleasant. We had a side view towards the mountains and the lake and the balcony had the sun all day. The residence is located an easy 10 minute walk from the centre of Baveno and the boat dock and less than that from the train station. There is a supermarket less than 5 minutes away. There is a car park at the hotel although we have only used public transport when we have stayed. There is a bus stop directly beside the front door and the buses go to Arona south along the lake and to Intra to the north. There is a lot of very useful tourist info in the main reception area. The reception staff are all very helpful and friendly. We particularly had exceptional service from Lorena (sorry if we got your name wrong but couldn’t fully read your name tag) who went out of her way to check out buses to Lake Orta and check that they ran (they do).

Nothing springs to mind.

Good value for the price. It’s an apartment with all the needed facilities and a bath (bath lover!!). We returned to this residence after a success stay. And we will definitely return again.

If I really had to name one, maybe to update some furniture and to be careful for damages on walls etc. It’s 4 stars but don’t expect big luxury, it’s very basic but in a nice way. Top location, very nice personnel. It was a bit unhandy that no one was at the reception in the evening as the gate didn’t work for two nights and we paid for the parking €15 a day…

The staff was more than helpful. Did whatever they could to help. All their recommendations were good. The location was great. A few minutes to the center and to the boats to Isola bella. A beach just in front of the hotel, that you can access easily.

The hotel has a garage but it costs 16.5 euros. Otherwise you need to park on the street.

Location and view on the 5th floor was more than excellent!! Parking garage under hotel was convenient. Apartment was spacious, like a small home! Friendly staff at arrival.

Too many paintings/pictures on the wall of bad taste. We neither liked the old-fashioned furniture. A bit more modern look would do a lot! Swimming pool is not next to the hotel, but you need to take the car. Pool itself is OK though.

Nice apartment hotel in a good location, close to boats to the islands. The apartment was spacious, very clean, with a well-equipped kitchen. Nice and helpful staff. recommended

A small heater in the bathroom was missing on the cool nights. The blanket was a bit old.
