Bed was extremely comfortable, big, comfy mattress and linens ‘Living room” big cozy leather chairs, fireplace Cafe w great staff and food Restaurant exception dinner and service Wonderful music playing at just the right background volume, old jazz, Sinatra, etc Building itself full of character and charm Floatation room in the spa a wonderful experience

We had just finished the Camino and were looking forward to a good massage. We only had a 1 night stay before leaving for home. No massage service was available In hindsight we should have booked out appt when we booked our room. Perhaps a prompt or email advising to book spa services ahead of time would help. So book your spa services well in advance or your likely to miss out.

The place is really beautiful, staff friendly, helpful and nice with the kids. Food was also good. They gave a small toy as present to my daughter

We went during hot summer days and the room does not have air con but also their cooling system is not good enough. Swimming pool is small difficult to access with stroller and with few sun chairs and almost no towels (there are 10 towels available and they take time to bring another set). Pool service not often available.We found the room dirty first night( quite some red long hairs in the shower) they came to clean and left a chlorine bottle in the bathroom (not safe with little kids).

Lovely old property that has been sympathetically restored from an old paper mill. Breakfast was fine and the breakfast team delivered great service. The rooms were well proportioned (we were in 412) but would advise to get a room further back in the property. The pool area was lovely and quiet, and I thought the spa was good, though a little busy when I visited. The hotel is a taxi ride from town but we had no trouble ordering them and returning from town. The staff in the cafe were also very helpful.

As addressed in other reviews this is lovely property when visiting Santiago, but they have to decide what sort of destination they are. We stayed for 3 days with Saturday being the second night. There was a busy wedding which in some ways took over the hotel, and was very noisy which stretched beyond midnight. In summary, it’s a lovely hotel but check if events are on during your stay.

Property and staff excellent ! The spa great ! But.. it’s far from the center . We arrived to Santiago after walking the Camino and the only way to get to the hotel was either walk another hour or wait 90 minutes for a taxi !! It was exhausting and we didn’t come back to the old City after taking a bath cause we could not afford another 90 minute wait . Hotel has no pick up service arranged with any taxi company , a big minus . The Michelin restaurant was bellow expectations Other than those two issues the hotel is beautiful for its value .

We can't say enough good things about A Quinta Da Auga. The room was beautiful, they have so many unique décor elements from the wallpaper to furniture to historic fireplace elements that they have kept intact and incorporated in the rooms. The bathroom tub was wonderful especially after finishing walking the Camino. The grounds are beautiful and there are wonderful trails to walk which are surrounded by water streams on both sides, very relaxing and cozy. The room service menu was delicious, we got the veggie and club sandwich with a soup. The room service was also very timely. The hotel coordinated all of our taxis to Santiago to go shopping, get dinner and finally the airport. Breakfast was included and was very comprehensive. We dinned in the restaurant on site and in their 'pub' area, both were lovely and we enjoyed it. The spa was awesome, we got massages and relaxed in their private water therapy room, which I highly recommend.

This is a beautiful facility that the hotel group took the time and expense to repurpose from an old stone factory to a lovely hotel. Rooms are spacious , private and buffered from noise excepting the calming waters of the Sil river. The grounds are not overly groomed which gives them a wildness I liked. The staff to a person is kind, pleasant and always helpful. Food service way above standard. I did not use the spa facilities but would expect nothing less given the obvious commitment to excellence.

I can find no deficits with this hotel.

One of the most beautiful and best hotels I ever stayed in. The facilities are amazing, it has everything you might need and staff are extremely helpful. It is situated in a quiet area sorounded by nature. Beds are very comfortable, food and service are exquisite and the whole aesthetics and decorations are beautiful. The spa is very complete and I had one of the best massages of my life!

Even though it's located only 10-15min by car from the city, it can be very tricky to find a taxi for the journey to and from the hotel. I feel like for the price they could offer transport for their guests or a better taxi system.

A little far from downtown so had to taxi if you wanted to get anywhere else, but beautiful surroundings!

Room and facilities provided were excellent. Bed was large and very comfortable. Excellent restaurant, highly recommend the tasting menu with the wine pairings. Excellent café open all day for casual dining and drinks also. Breakfast was excellent. Spa was also excellent; good amenities for use and reasonably priced massages and treatments.

A little out of town so need to organise taxis to and from Santiago city centre, but this was known when booking so was not a problem. May be an issue if arriving late.

You need to get a taxi back and forth to Santiago since there is no public transport that stops here and it’s a 3km walk on the highway. The wait for a taxi was 10-20 minutes each time, The day before departure we reserved a taxi to train station, it never arrived, we almost missed train and flights connected with train . Hotel got us a driver who charged us a lot for the ride. Not a good ending to our stay, very stressful.
