Absolutely beautiful hotel which is maintained to 5 * standard. The staff and management are friendly, accommodating and go above and beyond to ensure that the guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay.

I had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both of which were nice and good value- I did have a quick walk around near the hotel and nothing was open to eat at- well maybe 1 pub but I am not sure they served food! Room was clean and tidy and had everything I needed. Staff were friendly.

Breakfast was nicely cooked but expected toast and it came with potato (I didn't read the menu properly and made the wrong assumption) Coffee was not great. Both meals I asked for water and got a tiny glass- be great to get a big jug. The town was completely dead but i was there for work trip so not an issue for me.

Room was comfy, warm and cosy. this is an old building so expect a few creaks and distressed woodwork as you would a building of this age. It is not super modern like some places, but I prefer to stay in places with character. Everything worked as expected, plenty of hot water and a bath. TV, hairdryer, spare fan and ironing facilities. Liked the fact there was a dressing table with mirror, close to a plug socket to dry your hair. Breakfast was piping hot and service was excellent. they also have cereal and Yoghurt on request. didn't stay for dinner, but looked good and they have lots of regular locals, so must be good.

I stayed with my partner and I honestly cannot fault it apart from the karaoke on the Friday which didn’t stop until 11pm but I was aware of this, the staff were amazing and friendly and would do anything for you , food was amazing and if you like large meals this is the place to go our room amazing

Myself and my partner as guests were sat awaiting for our food when a woman started telling staff that they were lazy and needed to make sue that they needed make sure everything was done which myself and partner didn’t think was appropriate also my partner is a health and safety officer and he observed a member of staff standing on a chair not a pair of steps to reach a bottle from the top shelf

Location was great, 4min walk from train station to which the connections to the whole of the South West. Even though our room was small, the bed was amazing had 2 great nights sleep, had all we needed in the room ample storage, big bathroom with a bath an a great shower, Breakfast was beautiful, and all the staff were lovely.

Two little things (which didn't at all spoil our 2 night stay) , our room was above the kitchen so we had the kitchen vent/aircon unit outside our window and also opening the window you could here the road, quite loudly.

The White Hart is located in the centre of St Austell with a car park across the road to the rear of the property, All of the staff we met were very polite and efficient. We had room 14 which was adequate for a 3 nights stay but not for longer due to its small size. The breakfast is excellent, there is lots of choice and it is well cooked. We dined in the bar area on Thursday which is roast night. If you don't want to eat at the Hotel there is a wetherspoons 300 yards away.

Vast en suite shower with instant reasonable pressure hot water , the shower and heating in room very easy to use , generous food portions , helpful and friendly staff , the Roasts are exceptional, and the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc by glass very good , good choice at breakfast

Surprised that there was no water and biscuits in the room , the hotel puts shutters up on bar at 23:00 so no late night drink with friends , but to be fair barman stayed on till 23:30 whilst we had liqueur coffee post meal

The staff were excellent. Ki was excellent as the booking in the system was having issues. He was very helpful and tried to accommodate all of our needs. Andrew was also very helpful, and the food in the restaurant was exceptional. The morning staff Laticia was very helpful and tried to help us with our travel questions as she looked up a query we had.

The hotel is excellent value although a bit tired as reflected in the price. Not very suitable for people who may have difficulty with stairs, however, we had an excellent overall experience

For two weeks we have been touring England, this Motel has been the best. Upon our arrival, we were flustered a bit, but this young man at reception recognised that, and immediately came outside to show us where to park, took our heavy bag to our room, explained the facility and options and made us really feel like valued guests. The meal that night (semi final football) was impeccable - best we have had in two weeks. The free cooked breakfast set us up for the day. One of the highlights of our stay was the staff service.

We loved everything - you can’t change the roads and it can be quite difficult to reach - but you get that in many English towns.

I loved this hotel - it has a lot of character. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was very grateful to the duty manager for kindly carrying my suitcase up two flights to my room and bringing it down again when I left. The room was spacious and had everything I needed. Breakfast was very good and generous. I also ate at the hotel in the evenings and the food was again very good with plenty of choice. The location was excellent for getting to local sights such as Charlestown (a 2 mile walk), Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and Mevagissey (all these by local bus).
