We stayed at Hotel Posta for 5 nights in October 2025. Throughout our stay all the staff were very welcoming, informative & helpful making our visit a pleasure. Our room (20) was delightful with a lake view & balcony. The room was tastefully decorated with character items, a large en-suite, mini bar fridge & facilities for tea and coffee. The room was pleasantly warm during our stay & well serviced daily. Breakfast was buffet style with a good selection & many locally sourced/made foods, all delicious, coffee & a few hot options were served to order. We also ate in the hotel restaurant (La Veranda) and the menu also reflected local produce beautifully presented. The location is quiet although with a ferry station opposite the hotel access to the Lake areas was really easy. Secure underground parking was also available. Good wi-fi provided  Overall we would highly recommend Hotel Posta particularly for the warmth of the welcome & quality food. Grazie mille

Location was great - right across the street from boat dock making day trips to other towns a breeze. Restaurant was great and dining on outdoor patio in the evening was nice. Teresa from the front desk was very kind and informative, answering all our questions in a timely manner. Nearby underground parking available was helpful. Small elevator was great to carry our bags to upper level of hotel. We also appreciated the in room A/C on what was probably one of the last hot days of the season. We liked visiting this town for a change of pace because it wasn't as busy as some of the other towns like Bellagio or Cernobbio. The quaint historic city center with wonderful views and waterfall is located far above the hotel and accessible by alleyways leading up, some with lots of stairs (very doable despite what I read on an online travel blog beforehand) and some without. Our last day there, the skies opened up and poured some of the hardest rain I've ever heard. Even so, we truly enjoyed our stay in Moltrasio and would come again to the Hotel Posta.

In our room, you had to step up into the crowded bathroom which was a little odd but it is an older building so I get it. I also found the bed far too firm for my taste but it was just right for my husband.

This was our second visit and we were welcomed like esteemed guests. Our check in was a simple one as the receptionist had registered us with all our details from a previous visit 2 years ago. The hotel is incredibly dog friendly. Dogs can go anywhere in the hotel. The charges for the dog and parking were very reasonable. Three different options for eating. The cafe Bellini for more relaxed eating, the formal restaurant with rather more specialised menu, and a court yard bistro for anything from coffee to pizza etc etc. we sampled all three. The lake steamer station is just across the road, and has a good variety of stops along the lake.

The choices at breakfast seemed a bit limited but if there was anything you needed you could ask and it was given. It’s hard to find anything we didn’t like. There was no luggage cart but the receptionist carried everything to the lift for us.

The location was perfect with a ferry just opposite. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful without exception. We had a great dinner one evening and breakfast was absolutely delicious with a full array of wonderful choice including home made bread. With it being family run, there is a charming warmth throughout. There’s a Pizza restaurant within the hotel with tables on the lakeside. Drinks also available on the lakeside. The rooms were immaculately clean.

Gracious old family hotel with friendly staff and an excellent main restaurant. Perfectly located for using the ferry. Good breakfast. We enjoyed the pizza from the casual Cafe and the house wine was lovely. Our requests (fresh milk, tumble drying damp clothing) were met promptly and graciously. The amenities in the bathroom were really good. Lovely fluffy gowns and slippers were provided. Our reception on arrival was warm and friendly. What impressed me so much was that there are arrangements and facilities for people in wheel chairs ( stair lifts where necessary). So comforting.

We only realised on our last night that there was more to see and experience of the town - Moltrasio. We had an unfortunate experience with a meal at the Cafe, but it was handled satisfactory by the waitron.

The location is simply perfect, with the ferry terminal to Como just a short walk away, making it incredibly convenient to explore the lake and its picturesque surroundings. After a day of sightseeing, it was a joy to return to the hotel and dine at their restaurant, where the food was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish was prepared with the freshest ingredients and bursting with flavor. If you’re looking for a welcoming and comfortable place to stay by Lake Como, I highly recommend Hotel Posta. The combination of friendly service, prime location, and delicious food made my stay truly memorable.

The hotel has a great location to explore Lake Como area. Breakfast was very good, with a good selection of fruits, yogurt and freshly made eggs and other options. Also, the hotel offers paid parking which is an asset in this area where parking is not easy. It is very clean. Our room had a little fridge which was very useful. The restaurant was very good and we had dinner twice in the restaurant and enjoyed the food very much. Very reasonably priced compared to the prices in the area.

Everything about our stay was lovely. The staff was super communicative and responsive to our needs even before we arrived. My husband and I were in Como for a friend’s wedding and this hotel came recommended by a local friend - it did not disappoint. Apart from its convenient lake-front location across from the ferry, the staff is what truly sets this place apart. Family run hotel staffed by wonderful and caring people. Theresa at the front desk was a gem and took great care of us from arrival to departure. Lucky for us, there was a cancelation and she quickly upgraded us to a room with a beautiful balcony and view of the lake. The room itself was spacious, airy and felt like home. We also had lunch and the restaurant which also proved to be an enjoyable experience, excellent food, great wine and attentive service. My only regret was forgetting to snag one of the homemade panettone’s that they bake and sell daily on the premises. We will definitely be back!

It is a great hotel; the staff are very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were lovely, and clean, with comfortable beds and all the required facilities. We had a lovely little balcony with views across the lake. The breakfast was fantastic, I had to have two of the croissants... they were the best I have ever tasted! We would happily stay here again and intend to book for our next visit!

Very happy with the entire hotel, but brace yourself for the world's smallest elevator to the rooms... it was good fun getting 2 people and 2 cases in there!

The location was fantastic! Extremely convenient for getting around Lake Como as it is directly opposite a ferry port. It is situated in a very pretty little village on the Lake with beautiful views, a wonderful restaurant and pizzeria with The Grand Hotel next door, where you can utilise their Spa services. there is also a bus stop directly outside. It is 30 minutes by boat to central Como so it's very easy to get to the airport. A great choice for solo travellers.

I thought all the rooms had a lake or garden view but mine had neither. My balcony looked over the back of the building which was a little disappointing.
