The bedroom was very comfortable and modern. The terrace overlooking the harbour was in the sun until late evening so perfect for outside breakfasts, lunches and evening meal. Breakfast had a good choice of cereals, croissants and cooked including veggie. If you are a vegetarian tell the chef and he will ensure you have a good meal. The veggie chilli was excellent and he added a new vegetarian special too. The staff were all kind, friendly and helpful. Bodinnick is a small quiet place close to some very good walking. The ferry to Fowey is right on the doorstep. Great stay as a base for our SW coastal path walking trip. Good free parking too.
Last ferry back from Fowey is 19.50.

We booked this as a last minute get away and it completely exceeded our expectations! It's such a beautiful location and the rooms are decorated so nicely. The beds are super comfy as well. The location is amazing and you can hop on the ferry to go straight over to Fowey. There are brilliant coastal walks right on the doorstep as well. Dog friendly which was perfect for our little dog. The staff were absolutely amazing, they were friendly and so hopefully! It has a family run feel to it, in the best kind of way. The only bit that may be extra tricky in the holidays is the parking, it is restricted and on quite a big hill, it was fine for us but if you have any mobility issues it may not be the easiest to walk up and park. There were some building works going on which looks like it will make it even more beautiful for the summer, we weren't disturbed by the work when we were there There is also such a wonderful communal area for you to sit and have a drink if you wanted. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful location. Great staff. Friendly and attentive and basically 'yes' was usually the answer. Comfortable room and lots of little details that added to the enjoyment of the stay. And dogs are genuinely welcome - quite a few staying and no one remotely minded. That really added to the relaxation. Oh, and the menu, though short, was beautifully cooked. Breakfasts great too. And the views from some rooms, from the terrace and from the breakfast room are to die for.
Just be aware that there is some building work going on and if you want to cross the river via the ferry which is just outside, it's basically a tenner a day.

Lovely hotel and staff. In particular, the 2 ladies that looked after us at breakfast, and of course Alfie. Food was always delicious too!
The only downside was last ferry at 8.45pm meant that we could only stay at hotel after that time, unless we drove. This wasn't a problem as weather was great to sit on the terrace, but as no lounge area it may not have been so great if we didn't have the weather. But lovely place and people and would definitely return!

The Old Ferry was lovely, a charming old pub with friendly staff, who made us made feel more like friends than 'guests'. The breakfasts were more than ample with a wide choice and nicely cooked. There was a comfortable, suuny guest lounge with a great view of the river. A delightful place to stay
The only slight drawback was that to get to Fowey itself, you had to catch the ferry and the last one back was at 7.45pm which meant you had to eat early in Fowey if you didn't want a long drive back to get round by road! One other thing was that the bedrooms were up fairly steep stairs which I found quite hard work as I'm quite old with bad hips, not very suitable for the disabled!

Bedroom was lovely and modern/ chic with amazing view of river. Hotel veryquirky mix of old traditional downstairs and ultra modern upstairs. Breakfast was very good as was evening meal.
Parking was seriously stressy in small carpark as other users were not very considerate in their parking. Not ideal trying to get your car in very tight awkward space in rain. Hotel is advertised as dog friendly which I have no problem with but felt some people took it to extremes. Not sure if a very large dog should be sitting up at a table like a human being eating from said table and trying to move carefully with hot coffee and get your own breakfast while stepping over several large dogs lying across floor. Its a fab hotel but maybe a bit too dog friendly for us.

A lovely Dog friendly inn, room was lovely and clean - nice shower and the facilities in the room were spot on. Really good breakfast in the morning with friendly staff, loved making a fuss over the dogs. Plenty to choose from from cereals, yoghurts and fruit as well as the hot cooked breakfast options. A lovely pub steeped with history.
Our only snag was being the other side of the river to the main town - the chain link ferry stopped quite early in the evening, we had a dinner reservation the other side on the main town area and we could not stay that side for as long as we wanted to - we were only in town for one night. This is not their fault of course!!

The hotel is in a great location, with views over the estuary and Fowey. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room we had was a good size, comfortable with excellent facilities. It was so spotlessly clean and the bathroom was very good, great shower. The food at The Old Ferry was good, reasonably priced, the breakfast has a wide choice , and you can order a cooked breakfast. The hotel is situated on a very steep hill so may not be suitable if you have mobility issues, There's a small car park which we didn't use, if you're lucky you can park on the street near the hotel, but we parked on the street at the top of the village which was a fair walk back to the car when we left. It's a great place if to want to explore Fowey and Polruan or are walking the coastal path.
Maybe a bit more choice for the evening menu would have been nice, but what was on it was good and well cooked.

Staff: Welcoming, friendly and efficient. Room: Immaculate. Whilst compact, very VERY well laid out and equipped, plentiful tea and coffee, the blackcurrant cordial a nice touch. Offered the use of a small fridge for dog food and drinks - outstanding! Shower deliciously hot. Honesty cupboard and fridge for snacks and drinks. Bar - a traditional Cornish Pub, Great ales and a distillery (!) Dinner well presented and plentiful. Parking is available, but get there early to secure a place!
The cooked breakfast whilst delicious was a tad light on quantity compared to others we have had in the County (my fav meal of the day). That said, it was well presented, very tasty, cereal, extra toast and fruit available, with Tea, coffee and juices.

Very welcoming. Exceptionally friendly owner and staff. Our room was very comfortable with nice rustic style and gorgeous views. Although this room was with low ceilings ( anyone higher than 5.8’ unlucky would fit) but we were fine. And this is the only one room in whole property with such low ceilings as I was reassured :) Lovely food in the pub. Very nice breakfast. They gladly catered for me with my dairy free request because of my allergy. My sincere gratitude for that. If you up for a walk there’s a national trust walk near by - The Hall walk. It’s a remote location but ferry to Fowey, the other side of Fowey river is just a few meters away from the property and only about 3-4 minutes sailing. It’s only 35 minutes drive away from Eden Project. You might consider to stay here overnight before visiting Eden Project. The place is amazingly pet friendly 🐾
