very good location, the room and bathroom were clean and the bed and pillows were very comfy. The reception staff were as usual very efficient, courteous, and friendly. apart from slight hiccup upon arrival, I will be returning to this hotel.

I suffer from breathlessness and did not realise alterations were in progress at the front door and had to go upstairs vie side door to reception. This played heavily on my breathlessness. However the staff on duty apologised and rectified the situation. I was allocated an excellent room in the annex which is situation around the corner. The annexe had ground floor access with lift to upper floor. spot on!

The hotel is in a great location to explore the Old and New Towns. Everything is within walking distance - bus stop/tram (roughly 25-30 mins trip from and to the Edinburgh airport), shopping centre (Boots, H&B, Sainsbury, Saver, etc), resto and cafes. We booked the double bed room - it was clean and cozy. Housekeeping staff maintained cleanliness well. I would definitely recommend this hotel, although they're currently undergoing renovation - the reception area and hotel entrance are located separately. If you need anything, you need to walk a few steps outside to reach it. Exceptionally, staff were very helpful and accommodating, they allowed us to drop off our bags before checking in and helped us in carrying our luggage down a few steps.

The hotel is in a great location, close to Edinburgh Waverley train station, and you can either walk or take a bus. If you're coming from the airport, you can take a bus and get off at the stop directly across from the hotel. The hotel is in the city center, so you can easily walk to major attractions, including Edinburgh Castle. There's a supermarket right across from the hotel, and plenty of restaurants and cafes around. The rooms are spacious, and the staff is friendly, always available to help 24/7.

We recently stayed at Cityroomz Edinburgh for a rugby weekend, and it exceeded our expectations! As a group of four adults, we found the hotel to be exceptionally clean and comfortable. The staff were absolutely lovely—friendly, accommodating, and always willing to help. A special mention to their kindness in allowing us to store necessary medication in their fridge since the rooms didn’t have one. They also provided extra pillows upon request, making our stay even more comfortable. The location was also fantastic—just a short walk to the tram line, which was incredibly easy to use and made getting around the city a breeze. We were only two stops away from Murrayfield Stadium in one direction and just one stop from Princes Street, which had great shopping. Overall, we were beyond happy with our experience and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Edinburgh!

Really friendly and welcoming staff. Great sized room and spacey bathroom. Brilliant king-size bed, super comfy. Clean and bright room and the window could be opened a few inches for fresh air. Location is excellent, tram station 3 mins walk one direction, heart of the new town 10 mins the other direction. Fantastic restaurant, The Durbar, 1 minute away. Overall very good.

Accept that Edinburgh is an expensive place to stay, but feel Cityroomz was a bit over priced £394 for 2 nights (ok it was Friday & Saturday night) TV didn't work, we didn't report it until leaving as tbh it was a nice break with no TV (hubby is a Tele addict :) Problems with lift, sometimes it worked but mostly didn't. We were on the 2nd floor so we managed the six smallish flights of stairs ok, but it would have been a different story staying on the 3rd / 4th floor. It's not a bad hotel, just a few glitches need sorted (and maybe a look at pricing)?

The location is great, bed was quite comfortable, it's super close to a lot of restaurants and shops, most of the staff are very kind and helpful.

Hotel is under a refurbishment, so the reception isn't in the 'main' building - it's a makeshift reception with a dodgy entrance that wasn't clearly marked on the day we arrived (they did add a sign the following day). There's also 0 accessibility for this 'temporary' reception, you're forced to use the stairs. The lighting in the room wasn't great, you could really use an extra light in the bed area and not just in front of it. The internet was spotty at best, and they throttle/block certain apps - WhatsApp and banking apps like Revolut being just a couple of examples. The TV was also outdated, very laggy, and the remote didn't have the battery cover.

The location was great right at the top of princes street, so everything was in walking distance for us (about 20-30mins max). The facilities in the queen suite were excellent with a very large fridge, smeg toaster, a hob, a dishwasher and all the cutlery, plates/bowls and glasses you’d need. The beds were very comfy both the sofa bed (which was easy to put up/away) and the main bed. Staff were very helpful and friendly and let us store our luggage in a locked cupboard after checkout.

In the main part of the hotel the lift wasn’t working which would be a pain if you weren’t on the first floor. There was a bit of noise from traffic and people below but nothing that would keep you awake. Could’ve perhaps have done with a larger bin for the kitchen area as it was only one small bin. The suite was great but the photos online do make it look a lot bigger, however it suited the three of us just fine.

The suite room had everything we needed including 2 tvs. Shower was massive and powerful Bed comfortable No aircon though Huge selection of light switches and usb sockets near the bed to choose from Comfortable sofa, table and 4 chairs and plates for us all.

The bin in the kitchen was broken so the lid was always left off. The drain or inside of the cupboard under the sink smelled of mouldy mops. 2 floors above the nightclub so we could hear that thumping below us but it was ok not too loud The pendant lamp above the dining table kept flashing every few mins. So we turned it off.

we arrive at 10am and just wanted to drop our bags but the staff were amazing and went above and beyond and ensured the room was prepared. we grabbed a quick coffee nearby and had access to our room from 11am. Staff went above and beyond every time we saw them and simply couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. Room was a king suite with 2 double beds, kitchenette, very well equipped and seating area. Th property is directly next to the tram so ideal to get from the airport and to all the main attractions (get off at west end tram stop to be closest ) You are situated right in the heart of the city centre so castle is half a mile away. lots of restaurants and takeaways nearby and good local pubs too. 100% recommend staying here.

Nothing - exceeded expectations

Near most of the things we wanted to see and could walk to them. Front desk very helpful with suggestions and when we needed assistance. Able to leave bags with staff before check-in.

GPS led us in circles trying to find the place. Not great fun having to lug suitcases through several blocks in the rain. Room for 4 people had 1 chair and had difficulty figuring out the shower at first. Hallways smell a bit. Someone should climb up in the bunks to check the walls when cleaning. Definitely could have used a flat sheet or something more lightweight on the bed. No choice but to use heavy duvet or nothing so either hot or cold. Need exact change to purchase items at front desk.We arrived early from NYC, long travel and could not use bathroom to freshen up while we waited all day for room to be ready. Would not allow early check-in.
