Lovely hosts, in room facilities were fine, large bathroom. We were able to keep our bicycles in a locked area and off site parking at a nearby bowling club was offered. Parking in Bath is not common so this was a bonus. For £5 a day, we could leave the car where it was and enjoy walking or the local bus service to get around. The owners have set up a very helpful website which provided heaps of useful information about Bath, places to go, where to eat etc including discounted access to Thermae Spa which we took advantage of.

The breakfast service, it was served in the room which was not ideal as there was only one chair so one of us had to sit on the bed. Would much prefer a dedicated breakfast room. The breakfast was very filling, cereal, croissants or rolls, yoghurt, fresh fruit and a hard boiled egg but there was not a choice.

Louise, the co-owner, calls the breakfast a continental breakfast, but it's actually a smorgasbord of breakfast options, from a boiled egg to croissants and jam to cereal and milk - and more. Delivered to my room at the time we arranged. Perfect.

Nothing. Even though I arrived while Louise was out, she gave me specific instructions on how to get in the house and my room. We caught up later and she offered suggestions around buses and things to see. I felt warmly welcomed and comfortable. It is a bit outside of Bath, but once I saw how crowed Bath is, I was glad to be there. The bus into town is across the street, and the bus back lets you off a few steps from the door.

It is about 20 minutes walk from the city center of Bath. The owners are very friendly and they provide great suggestions about what to do in Bath. The continental breakfast is served at our room and is very good and healthy. If you plan to arrive late, make sure you get in touch with Louise and Chris in advance so you can get all information needed.

I didn't expect to have breakfast at my room and I wonder where the second person would have sat (perhaps on the bed). The sink is very small and the shower has quite low pressure. Although the single bed was confortable, I managed to fall out of it: a life time experience ;-)

Made to feel very welcome and given all the information required for our visit to Bath, absolutely no problem with the room and the facilities. The exception was the breakfast don't miss it the best continental breakfast ever set us up for the full day walking and touring round Bath. No need for your car to go into Bath the bus stops a 100m from the front door, never used the car whilst staying at Devonshire House

Absolutely nothing to dislike.

Chris’ (owner) accommodation is really nice, as well as his assistance with anything you need: from touristic tips until parking support. The location, although not central, is easy to reach: 5 stops to the city center with any bus and just 8-9£ with a taxi on the way back (20-25 min walking if you prefer, but have in mind you would be walking up a hill in the way back) The house, cottage looking, is eye catching. The rooms are big and comfortable (we rented 2 doubles). The bath is really spacious and the quality of both bedclothes and towels was high. We did not take any breakfast, but it looked amazing: coffee, fruits, cereal; more than enough. I rarely give a 10 to an accommodation but this one has definitely earned it. No surprise, as Chris is an 20 year experienced hotel man. Happy to come back next time.

Although known and expected, the parking situation is bad. No reason for a bad review or negative comment, but for a warning for everybody who books this BECAUSE of the parking offer. The “free spots” are very limited (may be 4-5 cars) and of course all most likely to be taken (cause they are free). The parking house, approx 200m far from the house is alright, but you need to pay in CASH, which - for many people - might be a problem.

Extremely warm welcome, Information about the area/parking and facilities around the area clear and spot on. lovely place, Bright, clean, comfortable. Room was clean, bed was so comfortable. All the complimentary soaps and tea /coffee facilities (proper coffee) Didn't have the breakfast (which was our choice) but for the value it looked amazing and it was brought to you room. Would highly recommend the Devonshire House and will be staying when and if we go back to Bath.

Isn't much to say we didn't like...parking around the hotel was a challenge but isn't every city? Would advise to plan your parking ahead before your stay.

Greeted by Chris on arrival who gave me all the info I needed to enjoy my stay in the B&B as well as what to explore around Bath. Super friendly, clean, lovely room and all necessities provided for my stay. It was a lovely stroll down into town with pubs, cafe's and express supermarkets all in close proximity to the property. The walk back from town was fine for me (it is up hill but didn't bother me really) so I didn't use the public transport or taxi's. Would definitely stay here again if I go back to Bath... Thank you!

Nothing to complain about at all!

Room was clean and tidy and as described. Louise was very welcoming and gave all the necessary information. Facilities near the address were nice to eat / have a coffee at. Didn't hear any noise from the pub next door and the walk into town was nice enough.

It is a long slog from town back to the address but we knew this before going. We hired the Tier scooters which made it better and the bus back is only £2.

The check in process was a breeze, clear instructions was left as we were arriving late so coded for the lock box was left for us. The owners (we only met Chris) who was super friendly and provided loads of great information on what to do and where to go, we briefly mentioned that me and my friend was here for a late birthday and they left a little treat later on that day (which was absolutely not needed but absolutely loved!). The room was cozy and comfortable. The location is a simple 20 minute walk into town which was perfect for what we needed! Absolutely would recommend to stay here and hopefully will be back in the future!

I arrived later than planned and was greeted by Louise, who was very friendly and showed me to my room. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The weather was hot and there was a good, overhead fan which helped to cool the room. The breakfast was delivered outside my door exactly at the time I had asked and consisted of a mix of appetising food, which was just the right amount. The noise from the traffic on the main road was mitigated by heavy curtains across the main window. I liked the bedside lights, which came on at just a touch.
