The best part about our stay was the staff! Jose, Milady and Juan were phenomenal! they catered to all our needs, always greeted us with a smile and amazing energy. Genuinely the service for guests was impecable! thank you!! Now speaking of the hotel itself, it's beautiful, the bedrooms very spacious and beautifully furnished! very sound proof, beds were incredible comfortable, included free water everyday, free coffee with expresso machine, bathrobes, everything! they did not miss a detail! Lastly location is perfect, everything is walking distance, beautiful streets. It was a perfect vacation!

I had a spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Everything was very clean. I had told them in advance I was vegan so there was almond milk option at breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is nicely decorated and right in the centre of the historic district but it’s also very quiet which is nice. It felt safe and secure.

The hotel prices itself in the higher bracket so (to judge accordingly) I think it’s cheeky to ask guests to pay extra for espresso coffee at breakfast, and also to limit them to one option from the menu (although to be fair, the oatmeal came with fruit and toast so was enough). There was also a problem with the wifi which meant they didn’t get my room service order on the first night and I went hungry (although the staff were very apologetic)

Great location in the old city. Beautiful rooftop pool and Jacuzzi. There are only about 7 rooms in the entire hotel, so the pool is not busy. We were allowed to check in early when we arrived at 11am, and they let us check out an hour and a half late. Thanks Jose!!!! Fantastic showers and AC in the rooms. Breakfast was good. Includes a plate of fruit and then one item from the main menu ( pancakes, waffles, eggs, granola, etc). The regular coffee wasn't great so we ordered latte's which are extra (3usd) but we weren't charged for them in the end. Great bed and pillows. I would say good value, not great value, since we paid about 200$ a night, so the hotel wasn't cheap and we expected this level of service and quality.

The only thing was that the bathroom counters seem to accumulate water. Not sure how I go to brush my teeth and the entire counter gets wet.

It was a good experience overall but it seems like they were under staffed. We were by the pool around 2 hours and nobody came to offer us anything. Breakfast was ok. The food items were not cooked to order and the all the fritters were cold or refried. Coffee was a little cold and they only served white sugar with it. No choices. You would think that a 365.00 dollars per night hotel in Colombia would accommodate all kinds of dietary restrictions but no. The staff was friendly and the room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable and bedding was great!

I had a great stay there . Just book it and don’t think about it !! Everyone was so friendly . I felt like I was home instead of a hotel . The breaks fast was good . I spent a lot of time at the swimming pool . It was a great place to be since it was too hot in Cartagena . I also want to thanks Jose Luis Rodriguez the assistant manager . He was very helpful and made my stay comfortable . I’ll stay at this hotel again when I visit Cartagena . Muchas gracias por hacerme sentir como en casa !

lovely hotel, great position, lovely staff and breakfast

on arrival just one person messed up . I was exhausted, and had asked for a room on a higher level ahead of time. He insisted on giving me a ground floor room with no window. He also insisted that I had not paid, so charged me again (had paid through booking.com). When I said I did not want to stay, suddenly a room upstairs with a window appeared. He also came 20 mn later to tell me he had made a mistake and so arranged to refund me the second charge for the hotel. Not pleasant. Everything else and everyone else was great

Beautiful small hotel. Perfect if you don’t want crowd. It’s a small jewel in the area. The bartender is amazing and the service is the best of the best. Really Amazing staff. They make you feel like home. The be pool and the bar are amazing too.

Our room still doesn’t have the glass doors for the noise but others has. But I’m sure soon they will install it. The room floor could be better cleaned during our days. But we believe it’s also because the missing glass door maybe. We do recommend 1 or 2 umbrellas at the pool. It’s beautiful just some ours need shadow.

We had an amazing time at Casa del Gobernador! Our room was ample, comfortable and filled with many nice amenities such as fresh bathrobes and chilled water. We enjoyed taking a dip at the rooftop pool in the evening and relaxing at the common area. But what really made this a wonderful stay was the staff - Antonio on the night shift made sure we had a warm welcome at every hour of the night and took care of all of our needs, from refilling water to securing us a ride to the airport on NYE. Roscio made our mornings so much easier by delivering fresh-made breakfast to our room and allowing us to request a refresh of our room late into the afternoon. They truly made our stay! We will hands-down stay here again next time we’re in Cartagena

Perfect location. Beautiful building. Reception staff was very friendly.

Room small. Besides the receptionist, the rest of the staff does not have the same level of training. Music in the evening rather loud (and not matching with the building), cleaning team talking loud in the morning etc.
