The room was nice and cosy for one person. I was very satisfied. The location of the hotel is nothing but excellent as I was interested in "Vieux Lyon". The breakfast, too, was excellent, although the tables were a bit too small. The quality of the food was excellent. The pressed oranges machine was great. The Cappuccino was -- I dare say -- better than any in Italy! The flowing water bottles I could use in the room were also a bonus.

The table in the room was a bit too small, as I was working on my laptop. Yet, I managed to adapt myself. I would have liked to have milk in my room to add to my coffee.

The location was great, just in the heart of the city. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and tidy, perfect size just to spend only nights sleeping after long walking days of exploring Lyon. There was a free choice of having still or sparkling water to grab in the bottles to your room.

The air conditioner did not work properly, so we had to keep time to time window open. Due to tiny room size, it was getting too warm in the night. However, we were lucky our window didn't face the main street, and it wasn't too loud in the mornings.

The location is perfect, and the room is actually what you booked, I upgraded my room to double when my friend wants to stay with me one night. The staff was nice , the light in the room was a bit dark but it depends on you. The bar was ok , we spent at the bar with my friends and they liked it because it's calm with music and we enjoyed it. And I want to thank the staff at the front desk who was so nice but forgot his name. Who made it possible to transfer my rooms from single to double. I think he deserves to belong in a high position. He is very accommodating..

less light in the room that we couldn't see if we were dressed up properly. But it's not a big issue at all. We are just used to having a brighter light when dressing up.✌️

Location, staff and ambiance are the highlights. As with all Mercure hotels the beds high enough off the ground to permit this senior ease of getting in an out. Breakfast was very good in selection and quality and imccluded plenty of protein options. The coffee machine made very creamy cappuccino and self-service refillable bottles for filtered water were available 24/7

The bedroom suffered from a cramped bathroom featuring an overly bright set of lights that threatened to bind the guest who was on the bed if the bathroom door was opened with light on. An overlooked solution would have been a sliding bathroom door that would have permitted access to the external light switch without the blinding problem noted above. We also really objected to the heavy ceramic mushrooms that served as end tables on either side of the bed. These provided very little actual table space and the rounded edges meant that the items too easily ended up on the floor. The breakfast area was camped and items ran out more often than at equivalent 4 star accommodations.

The staff were delightful, friendly and helpful. Genuinely exceptional in their willingness to assist ( in both French and English) and cheerful to a fault. Our top floor room was comfortable and restful to be in, impressive considering the city centre location and the incredible daytime and nightime temperatures during our six-day stay. The physical location of the hotel is also worth a mention. Great for sightseeing, shopping and eating as well as good accessibility to the local public transport networks. Highly recommended all round. Thank you to the hotel team for a lovely stay!

One negative thing. There was a 72 hr break in the internet connectivity of the hotel's wifi network. This was blamed on local infrastructure issues outside of the hotel's control. However, for a city centre facility, this seemed like an excessive time to remedy.

The property is around a 20-25 min walk from the train station but once you're there you are within the main sights of Lyon within a few minutes. The room itself was a decent size with a nice comfortable bed and well equipped bathroom. TV stations all in French as one would expect. Surprisingly quiet at night given it was just off a main road. Overall a very pleasant stay.

We were told on check in theres a push with sustainability - no issue with that but it has to be sensibly done. In the room you get two paper cups in which to put water, coffee and (given your in a region famous for wine!) some wine. No glasses in the bathroom as per the hotel norm. Its just very silly. When we requested more cups from reception the guy behind the counter was a little argumentative about giving us more but if there were actual glasses / cups this would be resolved.

Welcoming, good breakfast, constantly refreshed. Clean room, decent shower, hand basin is round the corner from the toilet: I would have liked to be able to open a window for fresh air but the windows are locked. Good timings for breakfast. The hotel is very central walkable into town or use the nearby tube/bus. You can leave bags if your room can’t yet be checked into, or on day of departure: they use a water fountain and glass bottles to be sustainable for water in the room.

Small useful makeup/shaving mirror was broken on the hinge so unusable. Lack of fresh air.

The location is closed to republique area. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The check in time ready before 3 pm.

The property seems a bit old with the red rug. The noise from other room is easy to hear. The amenities in bathroom is not complete. No water in the room but have to fill downstairs.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was in a very good location, very clean and the outside terrace was a pleasant place to sit. The breakfast buffet was very good, with good choice. The room was quiet and clean. A/C worked well and wasn't too noisy. The use of glass water bottles, laudable, to cut down on waste. The provision of USB charging ports extremely useful.

The room was a little on the small side and although the information said there was a kettle, there was no milk or milk substitute and only fruit teas/coffee provided. The shower was spacious, but slippery and the soap dispenser too high for ease of access. Would have been nice to have been able to open the window for fresh air.

Fantastic location, lots of restaurants and attractions within walking distance. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean with enough space for everything.

Room had a very odd configuration with no actual bathroom, but rather an alcove next to the bed for the sink, the shower off to the side of that, and the toilet around the corner near the front door.
