After travelling for many hours , feeling tired , we were greeted by friendly staff which made us feel most welcome. Thank you! It made our day!

Everything from the design, decor,wallpaper, beautiful staff all going next level to make me feel at home. The cleaners left a sparkling clean room every day. The concierge and front desk are excellence personified in their warmth and helpfulness and made me feel like I was really being looked after. This hotel is beautiful down to the sublime bliss and comfort of the beds and pillows in my room and the wonderful women who came in daily to freshen sheets and get the bathroom sparkling. I have never seen a hotel room cleaned with such attention to every detail. The delight of seeing families devouring the science high tea after visiting the local museums is wonderfull and if you have children or grandchildren I encourage you to book in during school holidays and enjoy the fun with those who you adore.

There is nothing to dislike about this hotel and particularly the close proximity to lovely restaurants, Kensington Gardens Park, Harrods and Museums and the V and A.

I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was very clean, bed was comfortable, the shower was great. The location was also fabulous. Not far from Harrods and enjoyed walking further into the city. It’s an easy walk mostly flat all the way or you can get the tube from South Kensington station. The staff wereExtremely helpful. Coffee machine, tea, small fridge in the room. After being away for four weeks I needed some washing done so it was easily organised through the staff. It was returned to me within 24 hours.

The room was very small, but it met my expectations of what I booked. Even though I knew it was a small room in reality, my husband stayed with me for a couple of days and it was difficult with two people in the room with cases open. Otherwise for a single person it was perfect. The wardrobe is also very small so it was nearly impossible to put anything away in drawers or hang things. The positives did outweigh this issue.

Well appointed, beautifully decorated rooms. Good range of toiletries. Nibbles and drinks - can soft drinks and pure apple juice -free and replenished daily. Minibar, Nespresso machine. Heated bathroom floor. Easy room temp control. Quiet, carpeted sound proof rooms…until..see below. Very close to South Kensington station. Short walk to National Heritage Museum and sightseeing buses. Local bus No 14 less than 30m from hotel passes Harrods, Oxford Circus to city centre. Great way to see London for around £2.

The lighting for the bathroom and full length mirror was appalling. Not possible to apply makeup in bathroom. Had to take a small mirror to the main room even then unable face the window. A strong possibility that I left the room looking like a gargoyle as I couldn’t see how my facial. artwork turned out. The lighting is non existent when opening the safe. One has to feel with hands to check if anything has been left behind. Older people will have to negotiate climbing in and out of bathtub when using the shower. Hang on to the towel rack when getting out. Other guests allow the door to slam shut and that is loud and disruptive at night.

The Ampersand Hotel is truly luxurious. The interior is exceptionally stylish. The staff are professional and helpful. The rooms are comfortable with high-end amenities such as free mini-bar, snacks, robes and slippers. The location is absolutely fabulous, near museums, dozens of restaurants, and half a block from the South Kensington tube station. This was one of the nicest hotel experiences we've ever had. And reasonably priced! Oh and room service was very prompt. We had the club sandwiches, delicious and one would have been enough for the two of us. Their afternoon tea is also very popular, though we didn't participate.

Using the shower in the tub, getting out was precarious, no grab bar and slippery. So just be careful.

We just love Ampersand Hotel and always stay there when we visit London. A trendy boutique hotel in a great location in Central London. A short walk from South Kensington tube station and easy access to most of major sights in London. We were lucky to be given an upgrade with a lovely room on the top floor. And all rooms have very comfortable beds. Reception staff are always friendly and helpful. And the downstairs bar is a lovely place to relax and unwind after a day’s shopping or trip to the theatre.

We stayed for one night. The receptionist was welcoming and helpful. We were shown to our room, which was just as it was described. It was also very clean. It was my wife's birthday and they wished her Happy Birthday and gave her a tray of chocolates. Very thoughtful. The room had everything you could need, bathrobes, slippers, complimentary minibar that would be refilled free of charge, with just a call to room service. We had breakfast delivered to our room, for a small cost. So worth it.!! If you are looking for a hotel ,which is central to Kensington High Street, the History and Science museums and the Royal Albert Hall etc ,this lovely Hotel is what you need. We can't wait to return. If you get the chance, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for a lovely stay .

The hotel is located a few minutes walk from South Kensington tube and it's a straight ride to Kings Cross, so if you're arriving into KX, it's a very easy journey (Piccadilly line). The hotel was exactly what I expected and is very well maintained and decorated, located straight across from a taxi rank, which was very useful. Set in a nice quiet area but with everything you need within a couple of minutes walk. The staff were superb, super helpful and informative, they really made us feel welcome. We had a free upgrade to a superior room, the bed was huge and extremely comfortable and the shower was outstanding (large enclosure and lots of water pressure).

The superior rooms are still on the small size and storage is an issue (no hanging space for long dresses) and we struggled to find room for the shopping bags we accumulated over the weekend (first world problems obvs), however, this would definitely not stop me returning and are small gripes given the excellent value for money we felt we had.

Or is beautiful and well maintained for an older building. The rooms were comfortable for two people and the stock the room with coffee, snacks and drinks each day. They clean the rooms daily and have nightly turn downs. It is also a stones throw away from everything. There are many restaurants and the tube is steps away. Also, flowers were everywhere!

There is not much wrong with this hotel except for the creaky floors above. But I do know that it is an older building. It is stunning.

Staff were lovely and checked in frequently to ensure I was happy with everything. When a small issue was raised, they resolved it immediately. House keeping came promptly to clean our room each day and we had a lovely quiet room just as requested. Would definitely stay here again when in London. Thank you!

I wanted to receive my receipt by email. Three attempts to send it to me but it has not arrived in either my junk mail or main mail. This is a bit disappointing as I need a copy of the receipt. I think there is a problem with the hotel email system as you have assured me that you have my correct address. It would be good if you could sort this out for future customers.
