Amazing location! Construction noise was brought to the staff and I my room was changed promptly! Now I have a bigger room with the excellent view! Great customer service! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the elevator. Other than that stayed here for three weeks and will definitely stay here again!

Rooms are very small. Elevator is small, extremely slow and waiting time for each ride is quite long. It's quicker to go down using stairs.

The rooms were small but which is normal for London. Our room was in the basement, which means there was no window and we could not let in fresh air or light. But the quality of the bed was very good and the bathroom was quite new and everything was very clean. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. The hotel is close to a metro station on the Piccadilly line and therefore its location is very convenient for week-end trips to London.

The breakfast was a bit pricy for what was offered. We could not pay it at check out, but had to pay immediately even before we started eating, which I found a bit rude.

A nice traditional hotel with renovated rooms in a great area of London very close to a tube station, museums, the Royal Albert Hall and much more. Very friendly and helpful staff. An elevator, which is not a given in the historical London houses. A nice bar open 24/24, where one can have afternoon tea and other food of very decent quality and at reasonable prices, considering the area! Again, the staff there was very helpful accommodating my and my friend's special requests. Good shower, a fan (it can get quite warm on a nice summer day) and a kettle along with tea and coffee in the room. A big double bed in the double room, rather too hard for me, but again, I asked for an extra duvet (as a topper) and got it very quickly, although it was late in the afternoon. Knowing the London price level, quite a good price-quality. Was perfect for my purposes.

The mentioned elevator was out of order on my first morning, but it was repaired at some point during the day. If you are not able to climb up to the 4th or 5th floor, maybe ask for a room on the first floor, just in case... The only thing in the room I would improve are the lacking power sockets anywhere close to the bed - they are all concentrated around the desk (even one with an EU socket and a USB though!). But these are just minor things, I still had a very good stay and my overall impression is very positive.

Room was large and had additional seating to watch tv or relax. Plenty of tea/coffee vitals was supplied. Bathroom also had all the essentials as well. There is a restaurant in the Hotel with a good choice of menu options . A bar is available for drinks snacks or bar meals. This is a great location if attending an event at the Royal Albert Hall with approx. 10 minutes easy walking distance to the venue. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Although the room was large they could of made extra space for the bathroom which was a little on the small size.

Great location, 5 minutes walk from Gloucester Road Underground Station, in a quiet road for Central London . Friendly, polite & welcoming staff on reception & in all areas of the hotel. It's a beautiful historic building, with lots of charm. The bedroom was a little small (room 215), however we were only staying one night, so it suited us & had everything we needed. Our room was very clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Very comfortable bed, we slept very well. Check out at 11 am was perfect. Relaxing, quiet & comfortable lounge/bar area, reasonably priced too. The portable air-conditioning unit was great, just what was needed on a warm evening. Very prompt message response via email to confirm lift & accommodate my request for a quiet room & fan due to the hot weather as this is a historic building without air-conditioning.

Nothing, we were aware of the lack of air-conditioning, and were very happy that the hotel provided fans & a bottle of water for our room.

Great location, nice crisp bedlinen and comfortable beds. Sparkling clean bathroom. Has a great bar that stays open late if you like.

Very centrally located in South Kensington and within a 5 minute walk from Gloucester Road tube station. It has the charm of an old estate and does not feel like a cold hotel chain!

The rooms on the floors above the ground are good. The ones below the ground level can be suffocating. Bathroom size is tight but manageable. Some modern amenities (like plenty of plug / charging points) are required.

The history and connection with Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mother. The clean well decorated and stylish interior and exterior. Warmth of the building the quality of the curtains and the plush cushions in the room. Marvellous breakfast with plentiful continental choice and a full English upgrade for a small fee. Loved the small pots of jam especially blackcurrant and cherry plus nice touch small pots of condiments. Pleasant and polite and deferential behaviours from all staff, reception, breakfast, door persons.

Would have preferred tea pots at breakfast and butter stored over an ice bath on the buffet table. Enhanced food choices for residents such as Uber deliveries promotions in hotel information folders.

I arrived early and the room i was offered was small and smelt badly. I asked if i could move to another room and this was easily dealt with by the staff. Gigi (head of Housekeeping) showed me a much nicer room with no smell and it made my stay very comfortable. GIgi was friendly and brought me water without asking for it.

Initial room that i was shown (414) which was old and had paint chipped off the radiator and the bathroom had chipped tiles. It also smelt badly.
