very nice location close to everything by tube.

When we arrived, we were given a room with a non-working air-con. It was 32C outside, At first, the staff tried to fix the problem, but the facility team was not around and can't fix the aircon. Staff rejected to move us to the other room, saying that there are no other rooms available. Once I showed that avaiblity at Booking.com, they finally moved us to the other room with working aircon and let us stay there till the end of our stay. This was pleasing but it took some efforts to make them fix the issue. It should be easier if you pay 300+ GBP per night.

Great location, 5 minute walk to Train Station, Supermarket and many restaurants close to hotel. Safe neighborhood. Wonderful breakfast, many choices and could also order special cooked eggs, especially liked the smoked salmon, and the gigantic toaster. Stayed in a mini-suite which had a seperate room with sleeper sofa. Room service left lots of cookies everyday. Hotel Front Desk was extremely helpful with any questions and tips. Especially fantastic service from Ruth, Peter and Jorg. Had a problem with my bill and emailed hotel. They responded back in HOURS and resolved the problem. Was quite impressed with the fantastic customer service.

Lighting in room was NOT great. Restaurant wasn't open one evening.

Character/style of hotel. Personal yet professional staff hit just the right tone. Much better than large chain hotels. The Spanish approach clearly a success. Breakfast items high quality. Good restaurant attached. I was resting after an op and the staff so reliable that my partner and I knew that should any help be needed, all would be good. Very clean. Recently redecorated using William Morris wallpaper theme (not overdone) as V&A nearby. So close to underground, restaurants, museums.

The room keys needed frequent resetting at reception. Bathroom air extraction minimal, but the bedroom window opened (a rarity in London). These details are trivial in the context of excellent classy ambience.

Love the location, close to the tube station. Love the 24 hour access to the gym. The bed was comfortable. Appreciate the air conditioning. It was a lovely room & the service & staff was EXCELLENT!

Our room was RIGHT by the main door into the hallway, so every entry & exit was a LOUD door slamming. The view from the first floor, obviously was sad. The eggs at breakfast were like soup. Not just runny. They were still liquid!! I love eggs & was very disappointed.

Ambience and beauty outside and inside. The reception is specious and tastefully laid out. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The room was exceptionally beautiful, wonderful lighting....

The breakfast overflow area just outside the restaurant does not match up to the reception. Needs a bit of an upgrade. Lots of movement noise above room 207, not sure what happens there but room may require sound proofing between the ceiling. The baby cot in the room was old and ruggered. I asked it to be removed to have more space for my toddler and nothing was done.

We ate in the bar on the first evening. The food was very good, and they were able to accommodate gluten free needs without any fuss. We would have liked to use the restaurant but it was not open on the days we visited. All the staff were very attentive and helpful, and fulfilled our request for a room with a shower, not bathtub.

The room was a little noisy, but its an old building on a busy London road. The traffic noise wasn't too bad as the windows had well fitted secondary glazing. We could however hear someone in the room above, who was moving around A LOT!!

Great location only a few steps from Gloucester Road and near lots of shops and restaurants. Reception staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Restaurant and bar was not open during our stay but room service was available. Not an issue for us though as lots of other options near by. We received a complementary upgrade and the room was very comfortable. Minor let down was size of bathroom which was very small with little shelving to put your toiletries on.

Lovely small hotel with a really nice feel. Nicely decorated especially the bar which is cosy and intimate. Bar and breakfast staff were particularly friendly and welcoming. Rooms are small but expected in London. London only a few mins to Tube was very convenient. Breakfast was fantastic

Very expensive for what it is...but thats London. You pay a lot for not very much

Loved the welcome, in fact all staff were lovely and very friendly and helpful. Room was gorgeous very well designed. Loved the design of the whole hotel, great attention to detail. Bathroom was small but clean and functional with nice additions like shaving kit, toothbrush etc. Had best night sleep for ages.

If I was picky I’d say the grouting or tiling could be redone in the bathroom.

Everything! It's all very thoughtful and well considered. The food was a massive bonus for us, and absolutely delicious. We loved being able to have a relaxing range of food and drink in the bar when we arrived. Usually hotels don't offer food until the evening. The staff couldn't have been more lovely or made it easier for us to feel welcome.

The bathroom was a bit overcrowded!
