Check in very friendly room good and comfy

Breakfast. I am vegetarian and there was a lack of hot food options for non meat eaters, no veggie sausage etc and the scrambled eggs which are in the buffet the only eggs available are stored in a heat container with the meat sausages. This is not good or necessary they could have shared with the mushrooms or tomatoes. I found that to be very poor for a hotel of this calibre. No alternative breakfast that was aimed at vegetarians.

Absolutely lovely hotel in an excellent location, across the street from Gloucester Road underground station and a 10-15 minute walk from Harrods/ Knightsbridge. There are also buses that take you straight to Westfield Shepherd’s Bush and Marylebone. As a solo traveller I felt safe and the facilities were nice but a bit outdated. Old furniture and quite dark rooms. But the staff makes up for it, everyone were friendly and welcoming. I was greeted and checked in by Janet who was not only beautiful but also helpful and accommodating.

The rooms and facilities were a bit old and looked very used. And my air conditioner in my room were hard to figure out.

The location of the hotel was perfect as we were attending a concert at The Royal Albert Hall and the hotel was perfectly situated a short walk away. We asked for a quiet room and we got one at the back of the hotel. Breakfast was fabulous and the bar was still open after our concert and we were able to order beer and a cocktail which was served perfectly!

The personnel were amazingly friendly and helpful. We had a last minute change need of the preferred room due to change of travel plan for one of my sons and the reception team were wonderful to find the best solution, warmest thanks for Ms Madhu and Mr Rishav of the reception team for all their hospitality and Ms Cecilia's jolly welcoming as member of the breakfast team. Regarding the facilities, we loved the Edwardian atmosphere even though it has it's challenges. The location could not be better, just across the Gloucester Road tube station, walking distance to Kensington Palace, Hyde park museums and so much more. We will definitely come back

As the hotel was built during the Edwardian era it needs some update and it is told to be in progress. Still the service greatly balanced out that.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, approximately 5 min walk to the Tube. The staff are lovely and very helpful. My room was upgraded with breakfast included. The best breakfast I've ever had in a hotel anywhere. I ate dinner there 1 night, which was also very good. It's an older hotel but well maintained, with elegant lounge and bar areas. The rooms have obviously been refitted, are in good condition, and very clean. Also well appointed, there was even an nespresso machine in the room. For London it was very good value and I would definitely stay there again.

Location. Nice neighbourhood. Value for money. The room’s window can actually open slightly. Super comfy bed and big medium support pillows. Requested for my single room booking to came with a bath although this was not confirmed at all but in the room 350 given was a bath of a decent size in the bathroom. It’s a big plus after tiredness from late travelling and lots of walking. Thank you! :) The buffet breakfast is well worth it. If you get to offer the special discount get it!

It is a very big hotel and can be a little walk to get to the room mind if carrying heavy suitcases.

Very good hotel in a perfect location, just 2 min walk to Gloucester Road Underground Station, which serves for 3 lines. Walking distance to South Kensington and Knightsbridge. If I got a chance, I'd like to book here for my next visit to London, highly recommended.

Fantastic location, nice hotel. Staff friendly and room was smallish but ok for London.

Breakfast was expensive and pretty basic. Wasn't well replenished and we were asked 4 times for our room number and to sign while we were eating. Would skip that.

Great location, great restaurant

couldn't get a good sleep because there was no AC or fan in the room even though the weather was hot and humid. When I asked to get my clothes cleaned, they told me to put it in the laundry bag and the housekeeping would collect it, but no one picked it up from the morning till night when I got back. And when I called and asked why no one collected it, they said sorry we missed it "even though I spoke to both reception and housekeeping" and since it's night time now, you have to wait till tomorrow.

In the room - ample teas (or a variety of types) / coffee machine (Nepresso) / complimentary water (vital during the Summer months) / fridge for personal use. Ample wardrobe space / enough cupboard space for a short trip. Soft comfortable beds with comfy pillows. Bathroom small yet perfectly suitable for a short stay. Location ideal for Hyde Park, Royal Albert Hall, quite a walk to Buckingham Palace (yet doable). Good breakfasts - worth paying the extra to order during the booking - excellent buffet / chef will cook omelette or eggs to order. Electrical points for UK/European/US travellers.

The hotel was built from an original Georgian building (circa 1750) - some of the rooms may be an odd shape. Will a high footfall inevitably the decor can get a little tired in places. Could only find 1 lift (elevator) in the hotel - which worked, however, would be a nightmare if it didn’t.
