The hotel is very modern, renovated, very very clean. Great staff, good service. The rooms are big relatively to hotels, comfortable, very clean, the bathroom pleasant, great water stream and hot water. The breakfast is great with large variety of everything. Enjoyed every meal. The pool is small but very nice. The fact there is a bar next to the pool is great. We spent few hours including lunch and it was really great. The place is quiet, no noise, both outside and inside. Very convenient location - few min to the beach and few min to old quarters Bottom line - great place.

I ended up staying at the Mercure in Cyprus unexpectedly, due to the war in Israel — and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better place to land during such a stressful time. The hotel itself is stunning, with comfortable, well-designed facilities that made me feel at ease right away. The rooftop bar is a real gem — peaceful, stylish, and a perfect spot to unwind. But what truly stood out was the warmth and kindness of the staff. Every single person I interacted with was welcoming, understanding, and incredibly supportive. They created a sense of calm and comfort that meant so much, especially under the circumstances.

This is truly one of the top hotels in Larnaca within its category! The location is excellent—you’re right in the heart of the city. So, if you’re not looking for a beach resort, but you want to explore the city and to be close to everything (from the main landmarks to the public peach) this hotel is for you! The hotel is modern, impeccably maintained, and offers a wonderful experience. The staff is friendly, professional, and exactly the kind of people you’d want to meet at the front desk during your stay. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace is delightful, adding a special touch to the overall experience. The room itself is spacious, modern, spotless, and well-kept, with a lovely sea view. Having stayed at various Mercure hotels across Europe, I can confidently say this one in Larnaca stands out as one of the best!

The hotel does not have its own parking, which can be a bit stressful as you’ll need to briefly block the street to unload your luggage before proceeding to one of the nearby public parking areas. While there are plenty of public parking options in the vicinity, finding a spot during peak hours can be challenging. Additionally, there’s no lobby bar, so don’t expect to enjoy a drink on one of the main streets before heading to bed. Lastly, the pool is not heated and is therefore closed during the winter months.

The breakfast had a wide variety of foods and the staff offered suggestions of local specialties to try. There is a juice / smoothie bar next door and they will even deliver to the hotel pool area. The area is very walkable, with several restaurants nearby, including a wine and tapa bar that I liked. The beach and some key tourist attractions are nearby, including the Saint Lazarus Church and Museum of Archeology that I visited. The pool area was relaxing - there is also a bar to order drinks and food. I happened to be staying at the hotel during their 1 year opening anniversary and they invited me and other guests to join in their celebration with cake and bubbles. Everyone was very friendly.

I wish the pool stayed open later.

Mercure Larnaca City Hotel is one of the best hotels I stayed at if not the best. I’ve never been in a cleaniest hotel with such an amazing location breakfast and friendly staff. I felt like home away from home. I would like to thank Andria, Chantelle and Christine for our lovely breakfast conversations and for all the tips they gave me to enjoy Cyprus to the fullest. Also many thanks to the reception staff Marina, Victor, Elena and Strezia, I arrived earlier and they managed to give my room with early check in and they were always friendly. I truly recommend this hotel it is central so it is walking distance from the heart of the city.

Newish hotel - everything is spotless and in excellent conditions. The hotel is centrally located - walkable to the main attractions and many cafes and restaurants. The breakfast looks great although I'm not into breakfasts and had to leave to the airport, before fully exploring it (the hotel also offers takeaway breakfast boxes).

The aircon didn't work properly and many of the touch controls were too fiddley (as a result the room felt stuffy at times) - i.e. over the top technology and modern design on account of usability.

New and modern hotel. Room and facilities were clean. Nice variety at breakfast. The staff is friendly and nice, yet very professional. There is a small but nicely equipped gym, a cosy swimming pool. The hotel is not on the waterfront, as indicated by the name “city”, anyway the location is fine. Within a few minutes walk, you can reach the center and the various restaurants. Near the hotel there are many different kinds of shops, cafes and in two minutes walk you can reach the beach as well the bus stop for connection to/from airport, other cities and beaches. (Check carefully the stops and timetable on the way back from beaches to Larnaka. Bus system not very intuitive).

Perfect location, nice and clean hotel, new and modern

The room was big and full with everything needed, and more (coffee machine, iron, 2 TVs, hair dryer, many towels and a bathrobe). It was clean, had a nice balcony and the staff were friendly and kind. Breakfast was also great.

The isolation (in terms of sounds) isn't the best and when it's noisy outside it might get a little disturbing if you want to sleep. There was a bar at the other side of the street that was a bit noisy on our first night. But also important to mention that around midnight it got way more quiet (perhaps someone told them to shut up...)

The Hotel location was ideal for sight-seeing , varied restaurants in walking distance as where bars. The Hotel Bar was a little disappointing being located within the adjoining Smoothy Restaurant but the food & drinks available at the Smoothy Restaurant were value for money & delicious

Only tiny complaint was that our room 303 didn’t have the facility of an individual bedside light which was annoying if one person wanted to read and the other sleep otherwise perfect
