Breakfast was good with variety of dishes, I am gluten free, so they catered for me, very aware of gluten free allergy with the menus,, dinner was okay, but really only to pub standards. I got the impression that the kitchen staff wanted to finish as early as possible, so my main course of a burger arrived cold, abviously pre cooked, without the real chips but fries, When I pointed this out, the kitchen had already been shut down brfore 9.00pm. The waiter was very apologetic and didn;t charge me for the burger, but it did spoil the meal. Gluten free toast should be available at breakfast, it keeps very well in a freezer, so no excuses there. Apart from that this was a lovely hotel in a beautiful location, with high standards and friendly staff. It is dog friendly, so bear this in mind, you may be eating next to a dog!

The staff were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. The building was much bigger than expected and very nicely decorated. We had room 12 which had a bath and a shower en-suite. Good facilities too like coffee bags and kettle, hair dryer etc. Lulworth and the cove are so beautiful but the walks around here are steep bordering on precipitous at times. Well worth it if you like incredible views and nature, also no sirens!

I must confess i didn't really like the bed. For one, it wasn't a double but two singles pushed together. Also it had a metal footrail i kept getting my feet caught on and waking me up. It's worth noting my wife didnt have this problem. The pillow and mattress were fantastic though. The lighting also was a little dim, but considering the rafter design of the ceiling I'm not sure what they could do about that. The only other criticism is that whilst I loved the place and it's location it was just a little expensive

The location and the staff made our stay special. A big thank you to the kind and considerate lady who serviced our room and to the staff at front of house, bar area and restaurant. Great atmosphere.

Would appreciate seasonal vegetables as an extra to compliment the mains: Brocoli Cauliflower, Carrots, Leeks, Cabbage..... We stayed 3 nights and sampled 3 evening meals in the restaurant, which we enjoyed. Fresh, seasonal vegetables would be a great addition. Lighter weight duvets. The duvet on our bed was too heavy for the warmer /humid weather, which we experienced during our stay.

We loved the room, the hotel, the location, the balcony, the food, the service, the cleanliness, the views, the walks, the sea, the birds and playing guess how much that house costs.... The shower was a bit special, I stayed in a bit longer than is good for the planet, just to be hedonistic. I feel slightly guilty about that. I used to come to Lulworth and Durdle door as a boy, and to come back to celebrate my 60th birthday rekindled something very joyous within me. My beloved was quite literally in heaven as the decor was just her to a T. We were very reluctant to leave, and are very eager to come back. Did I mention the views...?

I literally didn't care, but: the cold tap in our room (3) was a bit stiff, and if you turned it enough to stop the tap dripping, it started to swivel. There's a couple of water stains on the ceiling. The balcony lights didn't come on in the evening, but were on in the morning? That might be me being a bit thick though...

Very friendly staff, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Well thought out and appointed rooms which are cleverly decorated; I particularly appreciated the very comfortable bed and high quality bedlinen. Our room was of a generous size, and had a great sea-facing view and terrace. We were with relatives who live abroad and who soaked in the British seaside atmosphere and were particularly impressed by the outstanding full English breakfast.

Unfortunately there was a pungent smell which seeped out of the downstairs gents loo. It was impossible to avoid on the way to/from our room, and was so unpleasant that we were obliged to hold our breath when using the hallway to the stairs.

Nice room & bathroom, comfortable beds. Very clean. Excellent breakfast with good vegetarian/vegan options. The pub has a fresh, modern interior but is still cosy. The hotel's concession on the car park (which is otherwise £20 a day) is generous and helpful. Very efficient and attentive bar staff in the pub, and on reception. Lovely Hall & Woodhouse ales on draught.

Service at dinner was slow: we waited 50 minutes between starter and main course. Didn't feel our server handled this especially well: the Deputy Manager apologised and compensated us, which was appreciated. It'd be nice if the dinner menu included more fish & seafood dishes with locally-sourced ingredients: at the moment the menu feels a little 'pub generic' despite relatively high prices. The rooms will get hot in high summer: when we've stayed in similar properties, fans have been provided as standard. It's an old building, so expect creaky floor noise from rooms above, etc: not blaming the owners for that!

I loved how spacious the room was, the relaxing decoration, the complementary drink and the amazing breakfast! We traveled with my friend’s golden retriever and she told me that in her experience the Lulworth Cove Inn was one of the rare properties that is really dog friendly. The staff was having a hard time as they were not many and the inn was full, but still they went above and beyond doing an amazing job by not delaying absolutely anything. They were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. It’s mussels season and my friend was delighted with her diner’s choice. I got the salmon and it was also perfectly done. The breakfast was the highlight with many options of cold and warm food, and drinks. The raspberry jam croissant was still deliciously warm and the Pastel de Nata is one of the best I’ve ever had. We went for the Full English Breakfast and it was also delicious!

There were spiders in the room, and the dog killed a big one. Might not be a big deal for some, but I have arachnophobia. Checkout at 10h30 is a bit too early, mainly considering that breakfast is served between 8h30 and 9h30, and check-in is at 3pm. It would be nice if we had at least until midday to checkout without any rush.

The location is fantastic and the staff were welcoming, very pleasant and extremely helpful. They could not be faulted at all. The room itself was excellent, with the bed being very comfortable and supportive; even for someone 6ft 3 tall. The balcony was great too. The hotel is placed right opposite the car park which is at the foot of the main path to Durdle Door and beyond. Be warned, it is a steep climb but it is worth the effort.

If you had to be really over picky, there were a few minor things, but they wouldn't affect the enjoyment of your stay. For example, on the balcony there was some old plaster debris from the white walls which hadn't been swept away. They could also do with treating the railings as they were rusty and bumpy. Lastly the shower area could do with some attention, as the grouting was mottled and the chrome on the bottom of the door frame was somewhat crusty. However, these are minor niggles and nothing off-putting.

Ben and the team did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way and above and beyond to ensure that our stay was a happy one. Everyone was welcoming, friendly and helpful. This is customer service on another level, with little touches like remembering our anniversary etc. You really must be commended on your service levels and we have fallen in love with the place and will be back! Outstanding. Thank you.

Nothing!

Croissants and pastries were lovely and seemed to be fresh. Good choice of coffees. Location near beach was fantastic.

The quality of the bread was pretty poor. I know there doesn't seem to be a bakers in the village, but it wasn't even up to supermarket standard. Sometimes there was no alternative to cows milk at breakfast. When we had dinner the chocolate mousse wasn't identified on the menu as vegan. Breakfast cereals were nearly all processed things like special k. Nobody eats that stuff any more. Porridge was not offered and neither was meusili. Bland music was playing all the time. Repetitive dinner menu which meant we ate somewhere else the next night.
