Amazing location next to Nagamachi district and close to fantastic restaurants as well as the castle park and the gardens. The hotel is a boutique hotel with very spacious rooms, fantastic amenities and a rooftop sauna/onsen you need to book to access but its a small fee. The breakfast can be served both downstairs or in your room (as a bento box). Our stay was super comfortable!

Korinkyo accommodated our special requests of checking in early & arranging transport to the airport with ease. The hotel is well-situated near all the museums. The staff is kind & accommodating, even calling to make reservations for us or preparing hand-written letters to better communicate with us. The hotel is very quirky. With a unique concrete design done to a moderate level of specification. Lots of good treats & teas in the room. There is no coffee makers in the room, but you can pop down to the lounge on Floor 2 & the team will cheerfully prepare one for you. We were able to accommodate our family of 5 over two rooms in the hotel.

Very modern/minimalistic hotel in a good location with staff that try very hard to please.

I was a little offended when I was presented with a 7,000 yen bill to use the rooftop sauna and hot pool. It was never explained that this was going to involve a charge, and it was certainly not worth that price. It should be included in the rate given the high price of the hotel.

The Korinkyo is a beautifully designed oasis in the heart of Kanazawa’s Korinbo neighborhood, offering both tranquility and a perfect starting point for exploring the city’s highlights like Kenroku-en Garden and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art. The hotel’s minimalist design, crafted with natural materials and soft, welcoming forms, creates an atmosphere of calm and comfort. Thoughtfully curated amenities, including fragrant lavender and yuzu care products, elevate the experience, while the multi-course breakfast, served by attentive staff, is a true highlight. Korinkyo is more than a hotel—it’s a restorative retreat that lingers in your memory long after you leave.

Hotel had so much character and was just beautifully presented. Was so calm and peaceful. Staff were so helpful and kind. The lounge with complimentary drinks was an unexpected bonus and the mini bar was restocked each day with treats and drinks. We also used the rooftop sauna and onsen which was a lovely treat. Breakfast was delicious - both western and taiwanese options. We were so sad to leave!

The breakfast was perfect. As foreigners coming to Japan, the different breakfast style was new to us. But they gave the kids, me and my wife, and my mother (who has dietary restrictions) a perfect selection of food. The location was fantastic. Not too far from the train station, but also incredibly close to all the sightseeing highlights. Especially being walking distance to the biggest attractions. Having so many food options and shopping nearby was great. The rooms were quite large, the beds were real king beds, we really enjoyed it.

The only issue we had was the toilet and bathrooms. I guess the air conditioning didn't hit that area, and unfortunately the sauna was on in one of teh bathrooms when we arrived so they just never really cooled down for the few days we were there. Otherwise everything was great.

Korinkyo is an absolutely beautiful hotel. Our room was huge with a stunning bath and a cute seating area overlooking the street. There were complimentary drinks in the fridge and the Taiwanese breakfast was very tasty. The rooftop spa and sauna is definitely worth booking for a relaxing dip with views across the park. Overall it was a unique hotel experience well worth the money.

Stunning, beautifully minimalistic designed hotel, rooms and facilities. The locally distilled perfumes, oils, lotions, teas were a cherry on the cake. Wonderfull wellness opportunity and lovely breakfast options all fitting in the style of the hotel. The staff was extremely lovely and helpful.

Tiny tiny remark, the bathroom was missing hooks to hang towels on.

The room is quite spacious and the beds are big! Very comfortable to stay. The staff are very helpful and patient for every question we asked. My friend lost her ring somewhere in the restaurant, the hotel called us as soon as they find it, so that we didn’t need to feel upset during our one day trip to the outskirts of Kanazawa. Very much appreciated!

This was a calming stay in the city. I can’t say enough about the facilities and the staff. Everyone and everything was thoughtful to the details of comfort and calmness. The architecture is modern Japanese minimalism and the towels and linens are of excellent quality. The location is within walking distance of museums, gardens, fine dining, and high end shopping.
