The location is amazing in the heart of Venice. Can walk everywhere and near to the square. Shout out to the check-in/reception staff and the bell boys - spot on with professionalism! Check-in was easy and seamless. Well done! Housekeeping excellent! Free tour via boat/water taxi to Murano. Loved the energy of the front desk and their willingness to assist with any request! Overall can highly recommend this hotel. The size of my room was decent (for European standards). Breakfast also good but for example eggs Benedict and others come with an extra charge. I also recommend providing more free bottled water than just one small bottle per day. Beds are extremely comfortable. Towels needs attention. Too thin but up to par for 4 stars.

If you don't like noise or if you're a light sleeper- request a room facing the courtyard, not the main street. Although I was on the 5th floor and my room facing one of the alleys, it can get noisy and loud! (Although quite the vibe)...especially over weekends! I've had to sleep with earplugs. Some of the rooms do face the canal, which i believe is hard to get (and pricey). I visited end of March, and although advertised as airconditioned rooms, the air conditioning was non functional, which is normal for most European destinations in Spring. Maybe consider double glazing for the windows to reduce the noise? .

Excellent location, perfect size rooms (one with view over canal), friendly and helpful staff and great breakfast. So pleased we chose to stay here!

Outside of hotel’s control, our room overlooked canal and main path outside hotel and so was quite noisy outside at night. Great view and noise to be expected!

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Splendid in Venice. The location is excellent – quiet yet very central, just a short walk from both the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark’s Square. Our room was spacious and comfortable, fully in line with our expectations. One of the standout features is the rooftop terrace – a peaceful spot with beautiful views, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is elegant and calm, making it a great base for discovering the city.

While the staff wasn’t particularly warm or welcoming, they were professional and everything functioned smoothly.

The hotel was central and close enough to walk everywhere, the room was spacious and QUIET so we could always look forward to going back to it after a long day our exploring

Service at breakfast for coffee often took awhile

Location within 4-5 minutes walk of St Mark's Square. Staff were very helpful and courteous before and during our stay. Room was well appointed with a canal view and a good size. Breakfast/lunch/dinner available on-site along with a bar.

Not much - quite pricey but then so is Venice! On our last night my wife got bitten by bed bugs we think as she woke with 4-5 bites and several more emerged during our trip home. We have informed the hotel but don't really put much blame on them as it appears to be a Europe-wide problem.

Beautiful room after paying for an upgrade. The staff around the hotel are fantastic, fast, polite.

One lady at the front desk was cold as a dead fish and had the personality to match. She just was not that superior.

Great location and romantic atmosphere. Room was spacious and the bath tube was a nice bonus.

The room was very cold (the heating didn’t work). The lobby smelled like sewage.

Very conveniently located. Room was excellent with comfy beds and a pillow menue which was a welcomed relief after 4 weeks of dealing with flat European pillow. Staff were very accomodating.

Breakfast was ok, I would have preferred a wider swelection of 'western' style options and fruit in particular. The rooftop bar was a joke (and understandably empty). Drinks were not cold and way too expensive for what was on offer. Splendid Venice needs to definately re think there strategy ie. lower the prices and get some people up there to enjoy the space and create a better vibe.

The hotel was excellent. We experienced exceptional service from all the staff. The hotel itself is very central and is just a few minutes walk from San Marco and the Realto Bridge. Well stocked mini bar. Dressing gowns and slippers. Bed is turned down in the evening with a complimentary bottle of water and a heart chocolate. We opted for the luxury meet and greet from airport which was brilliant. We were virtually met off the plane and escorted through passport control without queuing. Taxi then took us to the causeway where our boat was waiting to take us right outside the hotel where a concierge was waiting to check us in at reception. Excellent experience. Buffet Breakfast was 30 euros a day but it there was an extensive menu to choose from so I found it good value. Take good comfortable walking shoes as a lot to see. The hotel gave us a complimentary tour to the world famous Murano glass factory where we watched a demonstration which was excellent. We made lots of wonderful memories and a gondola ride is a must! ☺️

It's a fabulous location, close to Piazza San Marco but in a quiet place on the channel. What is more important is that the hotel is VERY clean (seriously, the cleaning staff are incredibly attentive) and has brand-new furniture and equipment - a rare find in Venice. Highly recommended.
