Ulvik is beautiful and the hotel is located by the Fjord, amazing view and it is very calm and peaceful there. the entrance is not very welcoming, however inside of the property it is very nice, historical, clean, stylish. Through the main lobby/reception you go straight to the Fjord side. stunning. We were able to check-in earlier, and came with our little dog - we paid for standard room only, planning to stay all day outside - however we got room with garden exit and Fjord view - very nice upgrade. everyone was lovely and polite. restaurant was nice, was pleasant to see local products on the menu and nothing deep fried or pizza :)

Just the outside of the main entrance, I was worried where are we going :) me, personally I love hotel’s breakfast. unfortunately here, the selection wasn’t big - maybe because we got there 7:10 am? but that was something I was sad about.

The location and the view were exceptional!! The restaurant was very good and the staff were very helpful. It was a beautiful place to stay. I had a room with a balcony overlooking the fjord. It has big verandas with seating for socializing before and after dinner particularly.

It could use some repairs and is obviously an older hotel but the rooms and interior, though older, are clean and lovely.

Great location right on the water, big breakfast, good views and very nice outdoor sitting areas by the water. A sauna room with glass wall looking at the water.

Hot tub was not hot, and the staff argued that 36.5 C. is the correct temperature. Sauna costs extra. Room lacked basic comforts like nice-size towels and shower mat. Restaurant is over-priced and has only 3 dinner choices.

The bathrooms in the rooms are very basic and dated. A bath mat would have been good, and toiletries provided instead of a simple dispenser on the wall. Overall, think the building is tired and dated and requires being updated and brought into the modern era. The view is exceptional, as is access to the fjord, and the gardens, however we feel that this hotel rides the coattails of the view too much. If the fjord wasn’t there, it would be a below average hotel.

-Not a very wide selection of meals on the evening menu although the meal was super tasty. -The rooms had great views of the fjord but the rooms themselves were a little out dated.

Beautiful location. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and the glass of wine was generous. When we found a problem in our room (toilet not operating properly) and they couldn’t fix it they quickly moved us to a better room.

We would have liked the option of soap bars as we found the liquid dispensers difficult to use.

The position of the hotel meant that the view was gorgeous. It was very chilled there and we met lots of very happy guests. You can hire a sauna spot on the fjordside and jump in after! Very cheery, friendly and helpful staff and they gave us linked rooms so we could all be together which was great. Breakfast was very good and looking out over the fjord a wonderful experience... !!

There are few options to eat in the town. The hotel dinner was too pricey for us. Would be great to have some cheaper options.

Fjord view is the best 👌 view I ever had in my life from my room balcony its so epic beautiful.

They have very less food variety in their own resturant they should included more fish and vegetarian dishes .
