Breakfast was adequate for us. My Thai partner found more to like than I did. Coffee good and eggs cooked fresh if you like. Room was large but oddly shaped, bed excellent, working fridge and large bathroom. Very pleasant staff.

Water pressure (5th floor) was poor and temperature in shower was very temperamental. Balcony door had gaps along both sides to give mosquitoes easy entry! On request, staff taped up the gaps but therefore couldn’t use balcony.

The restaurant and food were very good, the pool was very nice, room was comfortable and the staff was extremely cordial and helpful in many ways I was feeling ill during a part of my stay and they went out of their way to check on my condition and recommend places to get treatments, even offering to take me to the hospital if necessary

Only one big disappointment - no television due to cable company putting in a new system, Not their fault, but still disappointing

My stay at Home Chic Hotel was just amazing. It felt homely and comfortable to return to each day. The staff knew me by name and greeted me with big smiles daily. They advised me of the cost of tuk tuks for various trips, cleaned my room daily, provided me with extra water and amenities continuously. The food at breakfast was good quality and varied. Eggs were cooked on request. The coffee was perfect. The restaurant food was delicious and reasonably priced and special daily offers. Great for a single female traveller who wasn't keen to venture out at night. There were heaps of outside restaurant choices in the area. The swimming pool was refreshing and clean. The bed linen was fresh and clean. Plenty of towels too. Overall, 4 star treatment at very reasonable price especially when I had to stay 11 nights. I will return and recommend to my family and friends. Always smelt clean on my return each day.

There wasn't much really. Some parts of the tiled floor looked a little grubby but it was more the age. As an older person a hand rail would be good to enter the pool for safety reasons.

Staff were fantastic, pool was really nice, and great breakfast. We would stay again.

The only reason I have scored a 9 instead of 10, is that our room was different than the one pictured. It was a bit misleading because there were lots of photos of different rooms. We chose one that looked like it had a large balcony but it wasn't that room we got (it could barely fit 2 chairs). We didn't make a fuss, the room was still great -clean and comfortable. Just a heads-up to double check when booking.

Good location within easy walking or short tuk-tuk rides to all the main tourist sites. Friendly and polite staff on reception and the housekeeping were great, cleaning the room and leaving water and fresh towels every day. The room itself was okay, but small and surprisingly quiet at night. Great bathroom with powerful hot shower. The room also had a safe for valuables and a fridge.

We had an odd shaped room with the wardrobe in a small alcove down the side of the room, the room itself was smaller than advertised so it felt quite tight for two people.

The staff are really friendly and on hand to assist with anything. The pool is really nice, as is the area around it. The location is good, near to restaurants/bars and to go on trips via further away.

The A/C in the room was really poor and so meant the room was very hot which isn’t ideal in such a hot climate & there was a bit of a mosquito problem + a bit dead beetle in the corner of the room under the safe. These are only minor issues we’ve experienced all over during our travels and so weren’t worth bothering the staff with so no real complaints just things to note.

The staff here are just the best. They facilitated everything we needed with ease and we were always relaxed. They say "sit down, rest, we will handle it" for every request. They looked after our bags for a whole week while we were in koh rong, organised airport transfers, gave us extra checkout time, booked ferry tickets and bus rides. When we returned from Koh rong they said "welcome home" <3 <3 <3 Further more the rooms were clean, comfortable, air conditioned and with the best showers we've had in 2 months of travel. The pool was awesome. The food was tasty. Couldn't ask for more at this price point. Some other people on here leaving reviews that are scoring this place a 1 must have some kind of degenerative mental disorder or have got the wrong place... LOL

Literally nothing.

I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Unfortunately I arrived with an injury that turned out to be a broken leg and my stay here was not quite as I imagined it to be. However, the support and the kindness from the staff during this difficult time for me was immeasurable. The room is a very good size, the bed is comfortable and the fridge is an added bonus. The room is tidy and the ensuite bathroom is modern and clean. The location of the hotel is ideal for any kind of traveler. The staff brought me breakfast to my room and made sure that I was as comfortable as I could be whilst I was navigating trips to and from the hospital. I can't thank them enough.

We had a super nice room with a decent sized bathroom. We absolutely loved our room & bathroom!! Nice size balcony as well. The hotel is very clean and neat. They have a lovely swimming pool and their breakfast was great! The hotel is conveniently situated and within walking distance of some major tourist attractions. Plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and supermarkets around. Transport to far off sites is also not a problem as there are always a couple of tuk-tuks close by. The gentleman at reception (not too sure of his name) is extremely kind and helpful. I think we picked the best hotel within our budget and would highly recommend Home Chic Hotel to anyone visiting Phnom Penh.

Nothing that we did not like

I appreciated the comfort and value that Home Chic Hotel offered during my stay. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had a cozy, modern feel. The hotel’s location was convenient, close to the city center and within walking distance of key attractions and restaurants. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure my needs were met and offering helpful advice for getting around the city. I also enjoyed the rooftop pool, which provided a nice, relaxing escape from the city’s heat. Overall, it was a great value for the price, offering comfort, convenience, and friendly service.

While Home Chic Hotel had many positives, there were a few drawbacks. The noise from the street could be disruptive at times, especially in the evenings, which made it hard to relax. Additionally, while the breakfast options were decent, they were somewhat limited, and I would have appreciated a bit more variety. Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall experience was still enjoyable.
