Amazing Boutique Hotel This is the second time we have stayed at this property and it never ceases to impress. It is a true oasis in the heart of Phnom Penh. Originally, the old American Embassy and a replica (in miniature) of the White House, it reflects all the grandeur you would expect. Super spacious lobby area, high vaulted ceiling and an amazing sweeping staircase leading upstairs. All the rooms are very spacious and beautifully appointed. On each of our trips to White Mansion, in May and June respectively (low season), we have been offered (without request) room upgrades. This is a reflection of the lengths staff go to in order to accommodate guests! The staff themselves are extremely professional and very friendly and will do everything to ensure your stay is a pleasing experience. On site is a wonderful French style bakery/café which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner – with beer, wine and cocktails. My waist line is complaining but my taste buds were exhilarated! The property is centrally located and walking distance to the river and many restaurants and bars. Overall a truly magnificent boutique property and I would happily return – highly recommended.

The property is “pet friendly” and while that is acceptable, I don’t like that animals are laying on lobby seating. On the floor certainly but not where people may be seated! This is more a patron responsibility/consideration problem rather than a staff issue but unfortunately it does affects other guests. The only other issue I noted was that during the day and early evening the hotel internet is very slow. I observed a number of patrons in the café using gaming type computers and others conducting business – the usual types who buy 1 cup of coffee then spend hours on their computers. I suspect that this type of heavy usage then slows the rest of the property’s internet down to “crawl” speed.

White Mansion staff is courteous, professional and efficient. You are treated like royalty. Genuine and excellent service. I was treated to a room upgrade at no charge ( like a presidential suite). I was offered a free massage service from professional trainees Coming soon the hotel will offer spa services on a regular basis. Also, try the Tom Yum shrimp soup at the cafe- this savory soup explodes with flavors.

This property is well positioned for the main historic sites and the waterfront. our upgraded room was a mini suite with small balcony overlooking the pool and newly refurbished bathroom. A good shower pressure, lots of hot water. The power sockets accepted UK square pin/US pin/ razor sockets etc ( no need for adapters. ) The A/C was efficient and quiet. The breakfasts offered wide choice, freshly cooked in the hotel's coffee bar/restaurant. We ate dinner on night which as excellent and very reasonably priced. The coffee was excellent. The staff were accomplished , non-intrusive but available to help with information/ reservations etc.

The shower was floored in glazed tiles and slippy when wet and soapy. A grab rail would have helped

Stayed for a few nights in March 2025. Very enjoyable, the building is really nice. Rooms are large. We were upgraded to junior suite upon arrival. The restaurant/ cafe is popular with guests and 'walk ins' too. The freshly baked bread is gorgeous. The staff at the hotel were very pleasant and very helpful. It was an ideal location for us, not too busy and a quiet spot away from heavy traffic. All major attractions and shops restaurants are easily accessible in tuk tuks. Highly reccomend a visit to Baldwin's restaurant for a special evening meal, a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

The shower could be a little awkward....mounted on the wall....possibly due an upgrade?

We had a very pleasant stay. The room was enormous, like an apartment! And as expected, it is beautiful. The location was comfortable and quiet. You can walk to the waterfront and royal palace in 10-15 minutes and to the independence monument and bassac lane also in 10-15 in another direction. Tuk tuks and Grab are always available very fast and some are waiting around the hotel. The staff was absolutely great, friendly and helpful. When we checked out we mentioned we would come back later for the luggage as we had an evening flight, and they mentioned there was a shower we could use - a godsend on a hot day so we were refreshed for travel! I appreciated that they let us know. The breakfast is not a buffet, it is served from a menu. Many options are available. It was tasty and reasonably quick to be served - I think I would get antsy if I had something booked and had to be quick, but since my days were leisurely, it was nice.

Somehow, I would have liked more surfaces to put things, the wardrobes were in a corner and I was a bit scared to forget things inside if I used them ahah. The kettle and mini fridge were oddly located inside a wardrobe (which the staff explained so we were not left looking for it) and only had cups, not glasses to drink water. Some of the walls were a bit old and scuffed, which I was surprised in such a quality hotel. This is just really, really small things I'm mentioning as I had a totally great time there.

Very welcoming. Staff helped with luggage on arrival. Maps of Phnom Pehn were given and advice on how to get to the different locations and the approx costs. The room we had booked was huge. Assistance was given with arranging the local Tuk Tuk drivers out the front of the hotel.. We were very happy with the very humble driver we had in the older style bigger open air Tuk Tuk that we used him again on multiple occasions - even to the airport. We loved simply going down the small streets viewing local life along with the more tourist type locations. Staff were very friendly both in the hotel and the adjoining Cafe. Would definately recommend staying here. Just off the main road and very quiet.

Actually nothing..

An lovely stay. Very friendly and helpful staff as we were welcomed with watermelon juice. They were able to check us in a couple of hours early and even give us an room upgrade. They supplied us with a city map and information on nearby sights. We had the twin room which was very spacious. There was a large shower in the bathroom with double sinks. We got to relax in the outdoor pool on the ground floor which was nice with extra seating areas to relax. Sadly we didn't get a chance to try out their spa. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of options and prepared freshly for you each morning along with fresh bread too. The cafe/restaurant/bar is also open throughout the day. Great location. 10 min walk to independence monument and on to Bassac Lane. Could easily walk to the royal palace and river too but we usually grabbed a short tuk tuk if things were hot/rainy. Tuol Sleng (S21) is less than 10min by tuk tuk. Highly recommend.

This former residence of the US ambassador with some of its insignia still intact boasts nice comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. Massage service is excellent at very fair rates.

The breakfast is a bit limited, since it is offered by a public café associated with the hotel, and there are only a few very discrete à la carte options available. One then ends up trying to find some elements from different options to put together something workable, which still feels quite minimal. That said, the quality of the various things being served is quite good, albeit at times really small (such as the fruit "selection" = four small slithers of fruit, or just 1 slice of bread, a single half-empty jar of marmalade, etc.) ... not generous. The latter also applies to the in-room amenities, where, for example, there is a charge for coffee capsules (actually a first for me, having traveled a lot).

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The location is perfect, close to all the main attractions and yet quiet enough for a peaceful retreat. The staff was exceptionally attentive and made every effort to ensure a comfortable stay.The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing and welcoming environment. One of the highlights for me was the fast and reliable internet connection, which made it easy to stay connected and work when needed.Breakfast was another standout experience – served in a restaurant-style setting with a diverse menu, everything was absolutely delicious! It was a perfect way to start each day.I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this place will exceed your expectations!

The building is stunning and the pool is fabulous; the coolest pool we swam in throughout our time in Cambodia. Our bedroom was spacious and incredibly comfortable. The staff are exceptionally kind and helpful. The massage service is excellent, one of the best I’ve had.

Sadly we were disappointed with the breakfast; the service was slow and the food didn’t match the quality of the hotel. The hotel wouldn’t suit a guest looking for in-house entertainment as there is no bar/restaurant as such. There is a small cafe attached to the hotel and food is served until 9.30 PM.
