The staff at the apartments are wonderful, so friendly and helpful. We liked the place so much we decided to stay another night at the end of our trip. We had some special requests that they went out of their way to accommodate which was so kind. The apartments are in a central location to walk into the centre or down to Mindil beach and the botanical gardens.

The kitchenette was a bit challenging to cook in, the equipment is limited and a bit old. The fans in the bedrooms were too noisy to keep on at night.

I liked that it was very close to the city but also far enough out of the city that to reach to other suburbs of Darwin it was incredibly easy. I also liked how simple the room was, it came with a washing machine and some cooking untensils which gave us more options for eating in rather than going out. Room service came every morning and dropped new linen off and were always friendly when we saw them. The car park was massive and easy to access. It's across the road from a liquor store/pub as well as a fuel station. The new mural near reception looks amazing.

The pool was really cold, although it was also unseasonally cold for Darwin this time of year. More incentive to come to the restuarant would be a good idea, as we loved the smell of the kitchen but with so many other good options around it's hard to stay at the apartments to eat as well.

Staff is friendly, professional and proactive, cleanliness is impeccable, parking is private, good waking distance from city centre , my room had a kitchenette with frying pan, toaster, kettle and microwave plus utensils and laundry with washing machine and dryer so I really felt like I had everything I needed for my stay. Bed was super comfy not bland nor hard, just on point. The Aircon and ventilator worked so well through the whole day and night. 👌

Everything is very good. Only improvement suggestion would be that the pool and parking lots could use a bit of shade - just as an extra bonus ;)

Excellent communication, handy after hours checkin on weekend with code. accommodating and helpful at checkout. Nice continental breakfast for a small fee. Quiet room, big room, washing machine and drier included in room. Fine swimming pool. Late checkout if needed. Lovely staff went above and beyond.

two flights of external steps but not a big deal to negotiate. Location may or may not suit everyone. Closer to Botanical Gardens and beach front market than town centre. Excellent for our stay. All up, nothing at all to complain about.

Spotlessly clean, lovely garden and nice pool. The aircon and fan work without rattling or other noise which is rare in Darwin hotels! Staff are very friendly and the manager made a great effort to make sure I knew how to access my room after normal office hours. Good location with a well stocked 24hr convenience store across the road.

On a previous stay I had to get my bag to a second story room which was tricky…not sure if they have a lift or not? I should have asked. This time I stayed on ground level which was much easier.

The disability room the way it was set up. Very comfortable and relaxing. The washing machine and dryer were exceptional. Awsome idea. The location was awesome. The staff acted in a professional manner, checking the guests in and checking the guests out of Alatai Apartments. I would recommend Alatai Apartments to others. I would consider booking in should I go to Darwin.

Not enough disability car parks. The car park could be enlarged. Brooms, mops to be left in rooms for guests to use to keep floors clean.

The light breakfast offered is good and very reasonably priced. Woolworth supermarket is about a 13 minute walk, Darwin CBD about 20 minutes. From CBD you can also take bus nr.8 which has a stop nearby. Despite being situated near highway no traffic noise inside apartment. Apartment came with washing machine and dryer which came in very handy with the temperatures of 34°C or higher during my stay. Apartment was spacious and clean although some of the light switches were not in the most convenient spots. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.

A box of Kleenex tissues in the apartment would've been nice.

The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and resolve any issues. The apartments are very clean, some have washing machines and dryers. I was working during the day, but I was able to make the most out of the pool since it is open until 10 pm. There is a restaurant on top of the hotel, a bottle shop and a servo right in front of it. You can book the day use option for 50 AUD (useful if your flight is late at night).

Noisy neighbours

We loved daily housekeeping, the convenience of having a washing machine and a dryer in our apartment, as well as being able to cook our meals. The premises are well-maintained, and there are three car parks on the property.

Nothing really. It would have been nice to have basic salt and pepper in the kitchen and some laundry detergent for the washing machine.

A short walk to town and the Botanical gardens where we went for breakfast.There was a washing machine,dryer and drying rack that came in handy.Ability to prepare meals if you want.Staff were all helpful and lovely.

A hair dryer would have been good!
