This was a last minute booking, due to a change in our journey through Oregon. And what a lucky day when we did! This place is so beautiful, the setting is stunning, the room was perfect, Erin and the team were outstanding. The inn has private access to the beach and a terraced garden with wonderful views. You can enjoy a glass(or two) of complimentary local wine and just relax, breathe and really enjoy yourself. We had a fab walk to the Umpqua lighthouse after a great breakfast and checked out feeling this was a real highlight of our trip

Nothing, it’s just perfect

This B&B is THE place. We were treated like family. I felt so cared for and attended to, the lovely owner made sure there were cookies and asked which wines we would like. I was absolutely astounded with the care and consideration with the room and accommodations. The entire place was decorated beautifully, (which is SO HARD for hotels and B&B to accomplish,) it was decorated not only perfect for the area, but perfect for Newport. Newport is GORGEOUS, and the Bed and Breakfast completely reflected it! It had beach access which was adorably decorated on the walk there and back. The bed was lovely and clean and it had a whole fireplace!!!!!!!! I really cannot overhype this place, I almost don't want to leave a lovely review because I'd love to gatekeep it all for myself! If you're lucky enough to snag a room, I'm JEALOUS!! 129/10 Love it.

I didn't spend more time in the B&B, this place is like paradise.

We went to this bed and breakfast originally to celebrate my partners birthday. I added the celebration package which includes balloons, a small cake (enough for 4 ppl!), a gorgeous rose, choice of chanpagne on ice or non alcoholic bubbly, and late checkout of noon. This was a great value I believe. Though we only stayed one night we both felt it was worth the price. The room was very cozy, with a sleigh style bed and fireplace that actually kept the room warm enough without additional heating. The jacuzzi tub was the best part of our stay. It fit both myself and my parter, we are both average sized but tall, and fit with our legs overlapping but our own space to rest our backs. The faucet is wide and the water gets very hot so we had no issue with the temperature or time it took to fill the large tub! The beds are super comfortable, more on the medium firm side but very supportive on our backs and the pillows were great and plentiful! There is a hair dryer in the bathroom cabinet for anyone who needs. (In our room, Sandcastle). Another thing we loved is that just a short walk down stairs from our room and we were able to choose from a selection of tea and cocoa, cookies, popcorn, and games at any hour. Breakfast the next morning was at 9, and it was AMAZING. Be sure to voice any dietary restrictions as they are more than willing to accommodate. The host was extremely polite and kind, and made our stay perfect. Thank you!

The only thing that was a smidge disappointing is that we thought all rooms had an ocean view and unfortunately our room (Sandcastle) we could sort of see the ocean through trees but had to look out the corner of the window to the far left of the room. The rest of the room was directly facing another hotel so we had to keep the blinds closed the entire time. The room also did not have a TV but this is neither a good thing nor a bad thing depending on who you are. Writing that just as an FYI for others who may want to know this about the room Sandcaste. The house is very nice with spacious rooms on the main floor and comfortable furniture around the fire. We were in to the SeaRose room which had an extended atrium attached. It was lovely and gave us a Birds Eye view of the winter storm. The staff led by Sherry was friendly and efficient. Outside offers a fire pit and trail to the beach. The breakfasts were delicious. We would love to book again for another time.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ocean House hotel, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations in every way possible. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by its breathtaking location – this hotel is indeed very close to the ocean, and the proximity to the water is simply unbeatable. One of the highlights of my stay was the everyday changing and tasty breakfast. Each morning, I eagerly looked forward to the delicious surprises that awaited me. It was a delightful way to start my mornings and provided the perfect fuel for my day of exploration. What truly sets the Ocean House apart, though, is the serenity it offers. It's an incredibly quiet place, perfect for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I found myself relaxing like never before, with nothing but the soothing sounds of the ocean to accompany me. And let's not forget the view! The ocean view from the hotel is nothing short of spectacular. I spent countless hours gazing out at the horizon, watching the waves roll in and feeling completely mesmerized by the beauty of nature. It's a view that truly enhances the overall experience of staying at the Ocean House. The staff were attentive and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch that made me feel right at home. In conclusion, I can't recommend the Ocean House hotel enough. It's a hidden gem that offers a unique combination of proximity to the ocean, delicious breakfasts, tranquility, and breathtaking ocean views. If you're looking for a perfect getaway, this is the place to be.

Breakfast was fine and a staff member was there to answer any questions. The secure lounge and hot tub area was very nice. A relaxing atmosphere. Laundry facilities were plenty adequate. Location was close to, what seemed like, old town businesses and a couple nice coffee and pastry shops.

There was some work or construction taking place a little early at the facility that was a tad noisy. Other than that I can't think of anything that we were displeased with.

Breakfast (stuffed French toast) was great. We loved the many places to sit and socialize/read. The building was well-maintained and stunning. The staff was very friendly. I will recommend it to everyone I know. It ranks up there with 4- and 5-star hotels I've stayed in.

The only thing I didn't like was that I was only there for one night! I could have stayed longer, it was that good.

Incredible location with a trail to the ocean beach. The Sandcastle Room was very nice with a fireplace, jacuzzi tub, large shower, king size bed, and deck with an ocean view. Loved the many open areas to sit, read, and enjoy the view indoors and outdoors! The fresh homemade cookies and free wine at check in were wonderful treats. The innkeeper Mary paid attention to our dietary restrictions in making our breakfast (served from 9-9:30) and everything was very tasty. It was nice to have access to coffee, sodas, hot chocolate, tea, and popcorn at any time.

The only thing we didn’t like was not having a thermostat control in our room. Being on the second floor the temperature rose to 75 which was a little on the warm side. We had to open our patio door to cool it down.

Loved the wonderfully prepared breakfast each morning. We met Misty, the chef, she is kind, thoughtful and puts love in her breakfast! The property is beautiful. Wonderful places to sit and watch the ocean...

Upon arrival, we asked if there was any possibility of having a room with AC. I love a cool room at night... we were told, maybe, then the following day, no. I actually thought that we might have been accommodated. I did struggle a bit with the warm room, each night. We spent 3 nights. We were offered a fan and that did help.

This property was absolutely beautiful. The views were stunning, and our room was exceptional. I was very impressed with the staff and cleanliness of the bed and breakfast. My partner has food allergies, and they were extremely accommodating for him with our breakfast in the morning. I would absolutely stay here again, and highly recommend you do too if you want a great stay that has a trail straight to the beach from your location!
