Amazingly lavish finishes. Certainly the most lavish in all my travels. Great breakfast and dinner buffet.

While the staff tried very hard and were friendly there was a surprisingly limited amount of English spoken given the 5 star rating

What a very kind team ! They have done a wonderful job The room in which they upgraded me, was gigantic . Extraordinary natural stone work, I have not seen before !

The location of the hotel is a straight road about 15mins away from Nanjing Road. There are good restaurants within the hotel.

The breakfast buffet selection is disappointing with little variety and selection.

Very nice hotel, with very nice staff. It is very well located, on the Bund and near the Yu Garden and Bazaar. The view from the room was stunning. The room was clean and quiet.

Two things in the hotel could be improved. -Coffee at breakfast was disgusting. (Fortunately our room had a Nespresso machine with some free pods). -The roof top bar and restaurant was extremely disappointing. The only time we managed to sit outside, they start cooking sausages on a BBQ grill for some guests. We were literately engulfed by smoke and had to leave. Also, be advised that they can rent the roof for private events during weekends. The roof will then be unavailable for other guests, while the loud music will be heard in your room (especially if you have a top floor room).

Had a Bund view room, and it really was excellent. Staff are great and very helpful, and the breakfast was well stocked with a range of Western and Chinese options (and gluten free options too, which was important to me). A surprisingly quiet location with good food options outside very nearby. Good value overall.

The only significant drawback of this hotel is that the 'spa' and leisure facilities are a let down, for a hotel of this size. One would expect a steam room and sauna, and perhaps a pool of more generous proportions, so that was a real disappointment.

The design of the Wanda Reign is not from this world, the finishing, expensive materials and love for details makes it one of the most beautiful hotels there is. In the room everything is perfect from the extras you can order (lavender oil for better sleep, they have a pillow menu, a music menu), the lightening, the fabrics, everything is so detailed and beautiful. The bed is beyond comfortable, the whole energy of the place is amazing. Extensive breakfast menu with a great quality.

Very few staff speak a proper English, the welcoming was a bit messy, nobody was there to take the luggage, my driver had to unload. The pool was too crowded and not tranquil as it looked in the photos. There should be some rules that the pool is for adults only for certain hours at least if people insist to scream around then not all day.

Absolutely lovely hotel. Big comfortable rooms, very helpful staff, gym and swimming pool. It was all perfect.

The only weird thing is the breakfast policy. I wanted to eat breakfast a la carte (not the big buffet) as I just have coffee and eggs for breakfast. I was not allowed to sit in the breakfast room, but had to sit in the lobby if I wanted to do that. In the end I just ordered breakfast to the room instead. This is the only thing that was not 5-star level.

All details were taken care of. The general manager was very kind to us, suggesting that we have dinner at the hotel, and it was absolutely amazing. The views of our panoramic room were amazing. Staff were very attentive, the location is super, very close to Yu Gardens and to the Bund.

The occidental breakfast had lots of options, but we struggled to get what we ordered from the waitress as not all of them speak English. Make sure you speak to an English-speaking waiter.

Everything was fine, delicious breakfast, clean rooms. Only 2 things were questionable: 1 - the safe in the room, which opens vertically, the lid does not stay on and it is not convenient to put things in it. 2 - tea for breakfast, absolutely mediocre, in a country where there is a cult of tea, serving such a mediocre drink is blasphemous. These are all little things that can be solved in one day and you will be priceless!))

The room had a fantastic view of the Huangpo river. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom had a wonderful tub. The location of the hotel is very central and walking distance to the Bund and local attractions. The concierge was excellent and and very attentive to our needs. We enjoyed a wonderful massage in the hotel spa.
