Had a lovely Sunday Roast meal here and stayed overnight as a birthday treat for my husband. One of the only high standard hotels in the area for a very reasonable price. Lovely grounds to walk around as well as surrounding area being the oldest part of Plymouth. Room was high spec and very clean and comfortable. Especially liked the free standing bath that I used and didn't leak/ gave hot and cold water and emptied quickly unlike a few other baths like this I've used in properties. Would highly recommend eating and/or staying here even if just as a treat. Staff were all highly trained in good customer relations and very polite and knowledgeable.

I rarely write extended reviews, prefering to be concise, however this deserves it because it is a real Gem and the best in Plymouth, having stayed several places elsewhere before. A family run hotel with pride in what they have and what they do,, staff were welcoming, attentive, cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was well appointed and very comfortable, the grounds were lovely, extensive and well cared for. The family own a nearby restaurant, which explains why the food was just incredible, comparative to many fine dining restaurants and great value. The hotel in general was peaceful and so comfortable to be in. I really can't fault it in any way and will not stay anywhere else in Plymouth area. They have a helicopter landing area as well! A big thank you for a great few days.

The concept was great. The food and hospitality were excellent. Loved the sweet treats an exceptional touch, a small complimentary glass of Prosecco would have made it perfect.

Silly things like no iron in the room, travel lodge style tea making facilities (Just put a pint of milk in the fridge) The vent for the fridge was just laying on the floor and the jacuzzi bath had missing nozzles and half the functions don’t work along with no method of using the TV in the bathroom. If it is there it should work or take it out. The full English Breakfast could have been hotter. As I said silly things. Other than that we loved it and we would stay again but maybe not pay the extra for the best room.

Quality of the rooms and facilities in the rooms were very impressive. Fulfilled our needs.

I provided my card details at time of booking. I was going to pay however, my partner arrived prior to me and was instructed she needed to pay. Commonly you would pay on departure. I can only assume this was ageist behaviour which resulted in us having to pay on arrival. What was a problem was my partner had no means to pay as I was due to pay and this made her feel extremely embarrassed and uncomfortable. Thankfully they allowed her to continue and I paid when I arrived however I was very disappointed that my partner was made to feel like this.

I’ve stayed at St Elizabeth’s House a number of times over the past few months. I particularly like the fact it’s quiet and a little off the beaten track, but still very convenient for travelling into Plymouth (10-15 mins) On this occasion my room (De Redvers) was spacious, airy, well-appointed and with good views of the gardens. The restaurant is good, but the menu would benefit from a refresh occasionally.

A very minor point, but occasionally the volume of the background music in the bar/ restaurant can be a little intrusive.

Beautiful ,elegant country house . Set in lovely grounds with some beautiful trees . Very comfortable rooms with arm chairs to sit in . Excellent beds and bedding . Good breakfast with nice choices .

Traditional dinner menu which did not work well for the fish dish i chose . Being made to wait for our main course till other diners had finished their starters . When we didnt order one . As always with a wedding venue a feeling that all the energies of the hotel are directed elsewhere .

I did not have breakfast with yourselves the the evening meals were very nice. the room was very comfortable. Staff were all very friendly and it is a lovely location with nice gardens.

the only slight issue was that the drains kept gargling at random times through the evenings leading to unpleasant smells. i would also say it would be a positive to get more up to date televisions in the room.

Couldn't fault anything. I travel a lot for work and it's probably the best hotel I have stopped in for a while. The staff are super friendly, the hotel is very impressive as are the grounds. Super comfy bed and black out blinds helped me have a great sleep, I even struggled to get out of bed in the morning as was so comfy. Spacious and spotless bathroom with great shower and even a roll top bath. If I'm in the area again I would definitely stop here. I don't tend to review the hotels I stop in but was so impressed with this stay, I just had to.

Spacious, comfortable room, super bed and linens (excess of trim and pilllows). Great breakfasts with excellent friendly service. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly without trying too hard. Very welcoming atmosphere.

Limited choice of dining in the hotel and no options within walking distance. The bar menu is so-so, and the main dining room is too formal - they need a halfway house! Fancy shower with three choices of water source, but limited water pressure - I'd prefer a simple shower that works. Lots of towels, but nowhere to put toiletries, no shelves, no hooks. Poor lighting. Thoughtful little ideas would make all the difference.

Ambience was wonderful and the hotel was extremely beautiful and well maintained. The staff were exceptional, being courteous and professional. Emma on the front desk was very accommodating to my every need. From the expresso martini to the mouth watering rhubarb crème brûlée you will not be disappointed.
