I was able to change rooms from the ground to first floor, which was really helpful. Breakfast was excellent, both the cooked food and all other options. Dinner on Saturday evening was high quality and beautifully presented. Service in the dining room was very good. Service on reception was very helpful and happy to help with all requests. The room was very comfortable and air conditioning a bonus in the humid weather. The only point I’d mention about the room was that there was a lot of dust on the top of the fabric headboard and the metal stag above the bed. Everything else was perfect and I look forward to coming back.

The room was spacious, facilities are as expected and the bed was really comfortable. The surrounding grounds are lovely for a post breakfast walk and very easy to get an uber to/from the hotel. The restaurant is an absolute MUST- the food is excellent and the staff are all very warm and friendly. A really lovely stay and would certainly return if we are in the area.

Room could have been a little cleaner- no complaints about the bathroom area or linen, however a few times when we put things down on surfaces they were a little dusty. The hotel is really close to the airport so lots of low flying planes which may feel a little disruptive for some people, but I think that would be the case anywhere in the area. We couldn’t really hear them from the ground floor restaurant but pretty noisy in our top floor room. A bell on the front desk may be a good idea, as a few times we were waiting a few minutes to collect keys etc.

The room was nice, the view adequate, the facilities as expected, breakfast was as expected with a nice selection. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had two nights of evening meals, with different results. There was two of us and our selection on the Thursday night produced very nice and well thought out three courses. On the Friday evening we had two guests and the four of us found our meals average except for the one who had fish and chips and the one who ordered steak but was given the lamb. All our starters were average and the deserts were as expected. The coffee was good and the space around tables. Before leaving we had Sunday lunch and it was excellent.

With a little further attention to detail the hotel could be superb. Staff were friendly, Jake in particular (young barman / kitchen help) was great. The room was lovely, had everything we needed, lots of space and clean. When we arrived the outside terrace area was quite messy with leftover glasses and food plates. The evening meal was good, but we did expect more from the food. Breakfast had a good selection and was better. The setting of the hotel was really nice and we would stay again.

Evening meal could have been better, and there was too much furniture in the bar area, felt very cluttered.

I spent two nights at Oddfellows as a guest at my cousin's wedding. The room was super clean with original decor, a very comfy bed and great shower room. We had dinner there one night which was delish and breakfast was a treat. I always like a full English. Beautiful grounds for the wedding activities on the day including a game of cricket. But the best thing was the staff. Without exception they were helpful, prompt, responsive and caring - and that was just my requests!. It made such a difference to the stay overall and we all appreciated it and of course such care helped make the special day for the bride and groom even more special. Thank you!

The building is unique because it has fun decorations. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We had a lot of luggage but there was room for most everything. My husband really liked the large rainfall shower. The breakfast choices and the food were very good. We also had dinner; the fish and chips were yummy. I even liked the peas!

I booked through Hotels.com. I thought that I had selected a room and rate that came with free cancellation and free breakfasts. The Hotels.com receipt didn’t show breakfast but I thought it was just an error. I got the impression from your staff that breakfast was included in the restaurant the 1st day. The second day there seemed to be a question about it. When we received the bill at checkout it included the price of the breakfasts. I don’t know if the mistake was from Hotels.com or your hotel. The hotel receptionist deleted the cost of 1 of the 3 breakfasts. I would recommend booking the hotel directly so there is no misunderstanding. This was disappointing.

The hotel is unique being in a park, the grounds are beautiful and the building suits the name!

In the room; cleaning is way below the standard one should expect. The shower wall tiles need to be scrubbed down and mould remover applied to all the shower rooms. The bathrooms used to be fresh and well maintained but now they’re barely cleaned and need a schedule of deep cleaning implemented as it affects the brand. There were no special touches, furniture is dated and mediocre, painted walls are marked, there’s dust on the low hanging lights & on the mirror in bathroom. I like this place and have been coming regularly for years to visit family however I am disappointed that management don’t seem to take an interest in the deep cleaning & maintenance of the rooms. This is an easy fix for this essentially great wee hotel.

Arrived early for check-in, but room was ready. Reception was friendly and warm. Had booked room only for one night, and hotel is very convenient for Manchester. The location is in the middle of a lovely park, and so is very quiet. There is a very nice cafe/restaurant just a few yards from the hotel which serves a variety of breakfasts, and the Full English was great. The actual building is quite old with lots of character, but is beautifully decorated, as are the rooms.

The TV had very poor reception. On arrival in the afternoon, only a few channels were being received, and on returning to the room near to midnight, there was no reception at all. For me, this wasn't an issue. And if I'd been staying longer, I'm sure the staff would have sorted it out.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were superb. Striking the perfect balance between friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant and bar were both great and the room was extremely spacious and comfortable.

Only downside was the lack of a lift (perfectly understandable in a magnificent old building), so anyone with mobility issues would be advised to request a ground floor room, and the lack of a door on the bathroom (albeit there were frosted glass doors to the toilet and shower. Not sure if this is the same in all rooms.

Lovely setting, staff very helpful and pleasant. Room was very nicely decorated and modern which we didn’t expect after arriving at the hotel. Overall a nice hotel and stay.

We arrived early so sat outside with a drink while waiting for the room to be ready. It looks fairly run down from the outside, decking warped and dirty, it could be lovely with some nice chairs and tables etc. shame as the setting is great and quiet. A lick of paint inside the hallways would make the first impressions much better. Pillows need changing.
