We had stayed here on a number of accasions in the past. A clear attraction is the Spa with facilities, Sauna, Steam Room, Jacuzzi etc included in the stay. Treatments are not expensive, if desired. Outdoor pool is good. The only restaurant has unchanging menu, which for a 10 day stay is restrictive. Aix has many good restaurants! Dog friendly from, an earlier visit, and still is. One negative: hotel offered to help with taxi booking from Aix TGV station to hotel. This they did but charge by the taxi of Euros 80 was Euros 30 more than conventional taxi!!

The cleaning of the room was excellent. Having the toilet in a separate room to the bathroom was a little unusual. We enjoyed using the spa facilities. Staff were very responsive when we needed fresh robes. The hotel's information (eg on the room service, restaurant times etc) is only available through a QR code link which didn't work for us. This hotel is Aix's only link with the thermal spring origins of the city - the hotel should be making MUCH more of this. Coming from Bath (Aix's twin city), we expected more on this. It turns out that there is indeed a window onto some original Roman bathing are down in the basement where the modern, commercial spa is. But we would not have known about this had we not wandered around down there.

The staff on reception were mixed: some were fine, but others were slow and showed inexperience. For example, when we came to settle our bill we had to ask a few times to have our bill printed out and shown to us. The staff member seemed happy for us to simply wave our credit card without us first seeing the itemised bill. Similarly, when we arrived, the explanation as to why the hotel would immediately put the full sum on our credit card was unclear. None of the staff were unfriendly, but they could have been more proactive and alert to our needs.

This hotel is a one off. It's like a holiday resort hotel but on the edge of the centre of the City within a 10 minute walk of the main streets and a huge number of restaurants. It has a very large spa with excellent facilities, a 25 metre outdoor pool (there's also an indoor one in the Spa) in excellent condition surrounded by the medieval city wall which is lit at night together with the small botanical gardens. The breakfast buffet is superb, with plenty of variety and can be taken on the terrace by the pool. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well. To be honest, and I never say this, it's excellent in every respect. Location 10, Hotel 9.5. Highly recommended.

My only very mild reservation is I struggled a bit with my pillow - neither of the two supplied were right for me and the hotel only has those. As always, eventually I got it sorted with folded towels. Also the duvet was quite heavy and even with the effective AC on (set to 21C) was too warm for me. My wife didn't have an issue with either!

Garden space was excellent. Excellent and helpful, bilingual front desk staff. Excellent waiters in restaurant. Delighted that room was made up so quickly each morning - hard working, thorough cleaning staff. Staff accommodating in providing room with view, as requested.

Plates in restaurant should be hot, both for breakfast and dinner menus. Staff were slow to clear glasses and breakages from garden left outside by careless and thoughtless guests. Would have liked to have had option of tours outside Aix from hotel, as well as an introduction to the spa facilities available on site. Stayed for seven days yet menu remained essentially the same throughout, other than for ‘fish of the day’ - however, still excellently presented and served.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights during our recent vacation to France. We started our tour in the city of Aix-en-Provence. We selected this hotel because of its pool and gardens. While we never got to swim, the pool is beautiful and heated. We did visit the jacuzzi the first night. After our long drive, it was much needed. We were a bit disappointed that it was only luke warm, as we are used to much warmer spas. The gardens and the surrounding area is well maintained and simply beautiful. The hotel room was cozy, giving us plenty of room. The bed was comfortable. We dined in the bar the first night as we only wanted a cheese plate and some wine. The breakfast buffet was plentiful. There was a selection of fruits, cereals, and eggs cooked various ways. The staff was very professional and very helpful. The only two downsides are actually finding out how to drive to it and the parking is tight, very tight. Still, the parking was very affordable. On our way out, the staff brought our luggage out to us as we drove out of the parking garage. You will definitely have a great stay here!

The room was really comfortable with a nice view of the gardens...it would have been nicer with a balcony. The bathroom in our suite had a bath with a shower point inside it.....these days a simple shower is usually more acceptable since some people may have difficulty stepping up into a bath to take a shower. The well kept swimming pool and gardens surrounding the hotel give a nice feeling of space and luxury. We did not visit the thermal baths or try its beauty features but they are an added luxury feature to explore. We used the self service breakfast bar..very good. The restaurant for evening dinners has a limited menu and repeated every night.

Since the restaurant dinners menu is limited, its better to stay with the pasta, fish and salads...they had some difficulty to cook eatable steaks. Their beef and veal steak cooking needs more practice, or better meat quality selection by the chefs. Several people during our stay sent these dishes back to the kitchen. For two nights we ate in the hotel, but later in our stay went out and ate in restaurants in the city area with success. The walk to the central Rotunde area is only 12 minutes from the hotel.

Nice and central and superb facilities, good dining. Friendly staff. Everything you could want from a city centre hotel. Would certainly return Raised a query regarding a room 'upgrade' offered through/by Booking.com and this was satisfactorily resolved to my complete satisfaction by a very pleasant senior manager, retrospectively. 🤗

Booking.com opportunistically offered a room upgrade which was an increase in price only for the same Comfort room. Higher cost for us - more commission for faceless Booking.com. Fortunately hotel management realised what had happened and actually refunded the difference in cost. For the Hotel - top marks - impressed - they could have ignored my complaint. Disappointed in the part played by Booking.com

Nice room - never used balcony as it was covered with mesh to prevent birds from entering good location nice breakfast convenient pool. Room was well kept, it has a mini fridge, large bathroom and a separate water closet which is good. Wifi was perfect. Good room but this is not luxury. I thought the room value was ok for what we paid. The hotel also had a convenient parking garage with both closed and open options.

The spa was dirty. Full stop. Hotel allows non resident guests for day passes. Hard to get pool seats, spa hot and cold system of saunas and rooms were very crowded and very dirty. Not recommended. They charge you for yoga classes which is fine but they do not tell you upfront - I thought they were free. The class I took was OK - but if they had shared $30E I would have so no. The class was very beginner and really more stretch than yoga. Nice instructor. Towels at pool spa were challenging to get. There were very few staff members in the gym. Hotel did take the yoga charge off bill. There are no irons in the hotel you have to go to a "iron" room on first floor.

The location of the hotel is very nice. Spa facilities are great. The outdoor pool was not open in December, though. The room is spacious and the breakfast is also very nice. The lobby area is very relaxing with books and various seating areas. Staffs are all very friendly and nice.

The only thing I do not like is the bathroom in the room. It was big and came with a bathtub. But the shower head holder was designed for 200cm above human beings and it was not possible to adjust the height. I ended up holding the shower head everyday I showered. The hairdryer in the room was a very old fashion one- the kind that attach to the wall and one has to push all the time to get it to work. These really need to be updated!!

Nice stay at the the Aquabella with the added bonus of having access to the spa and pool. Rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The hotel is situated in the centre of town and close walking distance to main attractions, cafés and restaurants. I didn't interact much with the staff, but they were friendly.

Probably because I stayed during high season, but the pool area has a lot of people reserving sun loungers by leaving towels. Also the spa at times got very busy, so might not have been the most relaxing experience
