August 2024

It was very clear.Good quality breakfast, the beds were hard , but comfortable for us.We got the Basel card, which was a bonus.Nice staff at the reception with one exception that I’m going to write about at the negative parts.Excellent water pressure from the ninth floor with some amazing views

When we got to the hotel , late in the evening, we met the rudest receptionist ever!!!!We were with our 7 -year-old son, exhausted after a tiring flight, she didn’t even look at us at first, kept introducing data in her laptop, after a while checked us in, and she “forgot”to give us the Basel cards, which was supposed to do.I asked for them and again her grumpy face, I felt as if it wasn’t our right to ask for them. All this happened on 14 th August 2024, this year!It was the most embarrassing situation ever!!!Because of her behaviour I wouldn’t give 5 stars to the hotel, only 3!It is how much her behaviour affected us!!!!The rest days, the staff at the reception were very polite and helpful.

Clean rooms, courtious staff, good view of the city, overall...value for money.

Location Is bit away from main Basel SBB train station and currently the Tram line 14 is closed for some tracks work around the Hotel location. It is not the hotel's fault and you can still easily walk for about 20 mins from Basel SBB if you have less luggage to carry with you. Nearrest bus stop is 8 mins walk from Hotel which provides some connectivity (not on Sundays). When the Tram starts working again in ealry 2025 the Hotel is very good budget hotel.

Very good location, near to St. Jakobshalle where I needed to be - 5 minutes by normal trottinette or one tram stop. The hotel gives a card for public transport, which is great to have if you want to go to the center. Breakfast was tasty however the choice of food is rather basic.

The price of the parking is really high. For one night ok, but for longer stay, not possible.

My friend and I stayed at the hotel for five nights. The room was small but clean and very soundproof. The bed was narrow but comfortabe, so we had a good night sleep. For a couple of days only to sleep and with hand luggage it's fine, but it wouldn't be convenient with larger luggage due to the small space. Tram number 14 runs very frequently and takes about ten minutes to reach city center. The station is three minutes away from the hotel. We walked for three days to the Basel SBB station because it only took us thirty minutes of easy walking. The staff was very friendly., we also received a free tickets for transportation around Basel and we will definitely return to this hotel if we come to Basel again.

The hotel is in a great location, very convenient for exploring the city. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We even received free public transport tickets, which also included discounts for some attractions — such a nice gesture and a lovely surprise! The hotel was clean and well-maintained overall.

A few small downsides: The bathroom floor in our room could have been cleaned more thoroughly. The room itself was very basic, but for a two-night stay it was absolutely fine. Breakfast was also quite simple, although it was noticeably better on the second morning than the first. Despite the minor issues, I would happily stay here again.

Hotel was very clean, really nice receptionists, hot water available downstairs in the coffee machine, good breakfast selection, kettle and board games available to rent (for a deposit in reception), close to tram number 14 that takes straight to city center, view was nice, comfy beds, air con, TV

Even though there is a tram really close, hotel is a bit far away from the centrum which might be a problem for some people, we haven't found any restaurants near by, there is no direct connection from train station to the hotel - you either have to walk for min 15min or change trams midway. Room we had was very small. We wanted a twin room with selerate beds which we got but gap between those beds was so small that it didn't make any real difference than having a standard double (which again, in our case wasn't a big problem). Shower glass wasn't big anough for the shower itself so be prepared to have your bathroom turned into a basin

Location within walking distance resp. one tram stop away from the event venue St. Jakobshalle; you get a public transport ticket when paying the city tax. staff is very friendly and supportive; no checkout as there is a code to the door, no card; room is really quiet, windows super sound proof! Also no noise from the corridor or adjacent rooms (loved it!); bed was comfy and with huge blanket (big plus), clean and neat interior Would stay there again. Wifi works as expected. Didn’t have breakfast.

new towels even though they were on the rails for reuse (what‘s the purpose if the sustainability sticker?)

The breakfast was really good, and when compared to prices at restaurants or fast-food places, it's quite reasonable (17 CHF per person per day). The room is clean, and the sound insulation is solid, especially given that the room faced directly toward the train station.

The reception staff were kind, but they couldn’t accommodate an early check-in. We arrived at 9 AM, and check-in officially starts at 2 PM. Even then, there was a line at the reception desk, and we didn’t get into our room until 2:40 PM, which was frustrating since we were very tired. However, it seems they were strictly adhering to the hotel’s policies (which is fine), unlike many other hotels I’ve visited in the past few years. Another "issue" was that the room cleaner didn’t refill the hand soap for four days, and when we arrived, the soap was already running low at about 10% of the container’s capacity.

We arrived at the hotel in the morning and the very friendly staff allowed us to have a free early check-in. Hotel looks nice and clean and is easy to reach from the Main Train Station by Tram (approx 10 minutes) and only 15m to city center by Tram. Also great that you receive a free pass for Public Transfer, which makes it overall good value for money. The room was clean, looks modern. We had a room on the side of the Autobahn/Train Lines but you hardly hear anything so we were pleased about that.

The space around the bed was small and also the bed itself was not really big for 2 to sleep in. The bathroom had a strange smell. Lastly the hairdryer should have been cleaned as it had white sticky dust on it.

Room was relatively large and had a view (8th floor). Equipment was nice and in really good shape. Good bed. Rather spacey bathroom. Desk which allows to do some work. Lobby area rather nice. Tram stop very close to the hotel, so you get wherever you want to go in Basel rather quick. Despite busy street and rail really close, room was quiet as long as you have the window closed. AC available. Hairdryer in bathroom

25' walk from SBB. Immediate environment doesn't have many shops or restaurants. no kettle for tea and coffee in the room (possibly at the lobby)
