Scenic ocean view from your bed, sound of the sea surf and this tasty air through the window!

The staff were really attentive and had a text program with us, so when I needed things like a steamer, I could easily secure it at the front desk. Staying at a true B&B brings a different, more hospitable vibe. Because of this, we definitely enjoyed the breakfast and all interactions with staff. The property was quiet and gorgeous, so I enjoyed sitting outside on one of their many benches and reading.

The bed frame was slightly squeaky and made a bit of noise if either my partner or I was restless at night. I think this was room specific. Also the steamer was a cheaper one that leaked out water while tipped forward, so the thing I was steaming got a little bath. Both of these things were SMALL and totally able to be lived with. Just worth noting for the staff!

Location location location My room faced the ocean and I saw dolphins jumping out of the water. It was so picturesque, lovely, comfy and welcoming. It was a little chilly and overcast…..nothing a fire and the wine offered in the evenings couldn’t fix. It was so gorgeous I didn’t want to leave, even for dinner. So I ordered in and soaked up the incredible views and beautifully manicured gardens (& and couple of deer who came to enjoy it as well!) The staff were all exceptional and I throughly enjoyed my stay. Only wish it was for longer. Thank you. It was magnificent.

First, the facility. This inn is as good, if not better than advertised. The inn is absolutely amazing. The room my wife and I had was beautiful and very comfortable. We had a full, unobstructed view of Monterey Bay and all the beautiful coastline. Each morning, we enjoyed our coffee while watching otters and dolphins right out in front of us. The morning breakfast provided was delicious and fresh made. The evening cookies were delicious and a really nice treat. The staff were beyond kind and always communicated to see how our stay was going. This bed and breakfast get 10 stars from us. We will certainly be back.

Breakfast was fine with the choices of yoghurts, fruit, and (vegan) omelet. Didn't notice any (cold) meats or salmon though...but that was soon forgotten as we watched the whales and sealions swim past. What a view! Temo greeted us at checkin and went out of his way to provide as much information about the area as possible. Thanks to him we enjoyed our stay, saved money for the 17 mile drive and visited Pebble Beach. As for location, it doesn't get any better than this. Situated across the beach just a short walk away from the mainstreet. Convenient parking and again, a view to die for!

I would have liked to have salmon at breakfast. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever.

We loved the beautiful historic buildings, gorgeous view, and manicured grounds! The location directly across from Lovers Point was superb! The staff was extremely helpful and prompt to address all our needs, especially to assist with the steps or redirect us to ramps, since I use a walker. An exquisite breakfast was included in a charming dining room where a wall of windows look out over lovers Point and the Monterey Bay.

There were steps that were difficult to maneuver with a walker, and some areas were more accessible than others. (The web site explicitly explains this, and we were aware that the historic nature of the inn might challenge my disabilities.) The bathroom door was too narrow for my walker.

That view was incredible. It's one of the few times where I saw pictures of a room online, then had it exceed my expectations when I entered the room in person. Everything was well maintained, considering how old the building is, and they had all the amenities my partner and I needed. There's heater, and no outside gusts of wind were creeping into our room.

This is subjective, but as wonderful and beautiful as the view and room is, the rate is very high. Luckily, the Seven Gables Inn does offer lower rates for other rooms, and the ocean is about 30 steps away, literally.

The rooms and bathrooms are somewhat outdated … but I kind of expected that . You are paying for the location … not a fancy room . I realize you would have to raise prices if the bathrooms were upgraded and I’d rather pay what we paid than another $200 per night for a fancy bathroom … but they’re getting kind of old … I’m sure you’re aware 💓

The room was super well maintained and cute. The view was fantastic. The facility's location is perfect, right in front of an oceanview walk to major view points as well as a short walk to Pacific Grove's downtown area. The staff was also super helpful. The free breakfast was also a lot better than I had expected, it was great to dine with a view in the morning before checking out. I would totally stay here again next time I visit the area.
