I like the Spanish style rooms at the hotel. My room was a corner room with a partial view of the ocean, very nice. The lobby has ample comfortable and welcoming seating and a fireplace that is always going. The hotel has the best rootfop bar in town with its proximity to the ocean and perfect sunset views. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The location is great, close to beaches and numerous shops and restaurants, and is in a nice, quiet part of town.

This particular room was a bit small and difficult to navigate. The bathroom was small also. I understand this is a 100-year old historic hotel so this is expected. There was no phone in the room to call the front desk so I had to walk downstairs and back up each time I had a question. Apparently they are redoing the phones but still inconvenient. Also, there were no instructions in the room as to working the TV or the air conditioning system or as I mentioned a means to call the front desk. High tech items need instructions, please.

Loved that there was coffee available early in the morning and during the day. Happy that they had parking and provided chairs for the beach. Enjoyed the rooftop restaurant, the beach and sunset. Room was great! It was directly on the PCH, but I liked seeing the activity downtown.

Would be great to have beach chairs, rather than camping chairs, but it was fine! Little breakfast items are a nice touch, however, they are mainly packaged, not the healthiest choices!

My wife and I have stayed in many different hotels together, and this was BY FAR our best experience. The room was beautiful and comfortable, our room was a 50 foot walk to the beach, and most importantly-the staff was the most friendly we’ve ever seen. All of them were beyond helpful, but the front desk lady name Melody was so sweet and hospitable. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Thank you for making our anniversary so special and one to remember!

Breakfast is very simple coffee and some free pastry. nearby is some excellent breakfast places. The best part of the hotel is the roof bar/restaurant. The absolute best views for sunset. great stafff great drinks and great food... the location is superb very near the beach.

Rooms could do with an upgrade they are a bit old. Still comfortable and clean though. Breakfast in the hotel could be improved. other than this nothing to complain

Loved the Spanish style of the rooms. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Location was great - steps from the beach.

The noise coming from the room above and hallway which started very early in the morning.

This is in a great location and has an amazing roof top restaurant! I stay here every time I am in Laguna. The staff is friendly and unpretentious.

This is a great hotel but improvements could be made to the maintenance of the property to make it an A+. They have portable AC's in each room but if you run it you will get condensation on the floor. I am certain there is a fix or they should provide towels exclusively for this purpose.

I liked the guest house feel, especially traveling alone. And the terrace restaurant was ideal for a light meal or cocktail.

I was not impressed with the breakfast - the muffins were certainly not pastries. The wrapped muffins were mediocre and by the second day I preferred yogurt/fruit that I purchased locally.

I loved the vibe, great culture and the diversity of the people that work there care about each other and the guest. you instantly feel like family. everyone was kind, fun and helpful. Great location to walk to surrounding restaurants, bars and galleries. Rooftop restaurant/bar is epic with good food and incredible view of the ocean. LIVE music in the front lobby every nite we stayed. LOVED IT!!!

Rooms are small so we could not double up in rooms. Heat and air was tricky to use in the rooms but the weather was great and I overheard the clerk say they were replacing units with a new system. I honestly don’t have anything negative to say. It feels like a historic building with lots of charm and character.

Location was excellent. Easy walk to beaches, restaurants and shopping. Staff was amazing. Nearby convenient parking included in cost of room. Rooftop bar excellent!

It’s an older property and the rooms are quite small. Like most Euro hotels. Wish nice restaurant was opened more than just weekends.
