This was a perfect gem of a property. Location was wonderful, very walkable, easy to get to the Heisler Park beach as well as the Main beach in Laguna. It was a quirky little place with lots of steps to get to the rooms, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. I felt like the property was safe and the staff was lovely. They made it very easy for our late check in, with thorough instructions, and we loved having a kitchen to use during our short stay. Overall, I was very impressed with Laguna Shores and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

I would have loved to have some air conditioning. I am a person that loves to be chilly, and the open windows with the shore breeze just wasn't cutting it. Otherwise, it was superb!

Exceptional location right across the road from a gorgeous shoreline park. Had an "away from the crowds" feeling, but in walking distance to everything you'd want or need. You can opt for happening bars, restaurants, art studios, shops, or opt for peaceful scenery walking along beaches and parks. Nice units - our little studio with a murphy bed had a small, but a full and well-stocked kitchen. Nice outdoor sitting areas in front or in back of each unit; many units have an amazing view. Comfortable and nice common areas with a cool, mid-century feel. Reasonably priced snacks and ice cream offered in office, but they close at 6pm so plan if you want something!

There is not much the resort can do, but the parking is a little tricky; not unusual with resorts "in town." Some of the spots are right up next to units, so it wasn't great when someone started their car at 5am and let it idle a bit before finally leaving. That was probably a one-off, but I could imagine it happening at any hour somewhat often. Noise issues in some form can and usually do arise nearly anywhere you stay, especially in a busy town. Common areas can feel a tad small, but again, to be expected "in town" - a park and beach are right across the street for peaceful wandering!

The after hour check in was horrible. There was No clear instruction of how to get to my room after 6 o'clock. I called a few times to finally get through someone and waited for almost an hour to finally get the key to my room. The staff over the phone only just read the instruction but no understanding of what she was reading, if they just send me image instruction would be easier. The next morning when I went to check out, I complained to the front desk, she gave me a fake empathy and does not care what I complained about. Over all, the staff i had encountered over the phone and at the front desk were polite but only made minimal efforts.

The location was amazing. Walking distance to restaurants, stores, groceries. There was a park across right outside the property and beach access to a good swimming and tide pooling area. There were gas BBQs in the pool area that looked brand new. The room was very quiet and had a filtered view of the park/ocean area. Parking was easy. Definitely would go back and recommend to others.

The Murphy bed was a little too soft and sank to the floor on one side. Did like having the Murphy bed that we could fold up and have more room.

I did my research before making this reservation. There were some negative reviews that I think were unfounded. Yes, this hotel is a bit older and dated, but the price point reflects those deficits. The hot tub was clean and warm and the pool was clean and even warm enough for a dip in January (granted we're from snowy Utah and our version of warm is likely different than others.) The hotel's location and parking structure is why we booked this place. And it was worth every low priced penny. Sure, some aspects are out dated and need remodeled, but then the price will increase. Our last stay was at a 5 star hotel up above crystal Cove and although it was lovely, it wasn't worth the price. I would rather have a modest hotel room but an affordable rate. This location and view can't be beat. We literally saw dolphins jumping from our window when we woke up that first morning. And we checked out on time but were allowed to leave our car there for a few more hours while we walked to lunch and enjoyed the afternoon on the beach. The staff were all very friendly and accommodated our schedules. I called the day before check-in to let them know we would arrive after hours and the process was smooth and easy, and kind of a fun little Amazing Race adventure to get our key. Also, there was a great little grocery market only 5 minutes away. It was super nice to go get some staple items to have in our room so we didn't have to eat out every single meal. We would definitely stay here again.

The room had a lot of furniture. It was fine, but we scooted chairs and excess tables out of the way to make more space. It's hard to tell if people want extra seating and tables or extra walking space. It's a personal preference I guess. But it wasn't anything we couldn't work around.

Great location right by the beach and within walking distance to several cafes, restaurants, and shops. It is right on PCH but still walkable. We also appreciated that it's a bit north of the most touristy parts of Laguna, so access from the north was not too hectic. We also loved the pool!

I wish check-out could be a little later so that we could have enjoyed the pool longer.

We love the location, and the after-hours check-in worked well.

A few extra perks such as some free bottled water would be nice to add. Also, our son who lives a couple of hours away wasn't allowed to spend the night in our room on the couch for an extra cost, so he had to drive multiple times to visit vs purchasing a nearby hotel room, which is very expensive. We were fine with the room restrictions and understand the rationale, but always look for some flexibility in these policies.

I love the location and how close it was to the beach. I would probably wanna stay on the beach side next time only because the street side was very noisy.

The water took forever to get hot in the shower and in the kitchen. Also, the furniture is very nice, but it felt awkward to sit in the furniture so we sat on the bed to watch TV.

The location is within walking distance of everything Laguna Beach has to offer. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, as are the views around this area.

Check-in is way too late, 4:30 p.m.! And check out is too early, 10 a.m.! Hire more housekeepers so rooms can be available sooner, and, especially during off season, let us check out later. 😊👍

So close to the beach and Heisler Park. Location is superb in my opinion. Mornings at the beach were very quiet with few people in mid September. I would recommend staying during the week if you're not a people'y person and introverted.

Parking was difficult in the area if you're not familiar with it especially during the peak hours and weekends. The suites do have parking for those staying there but very tight. Best to bring a smaller car rather than an SUV if you plan on traveling a lot.
