The location was great. The rooms were clean. They moved us to an ADA room when I mentioned that we had a person with disabilities traveling with us. They had hot coffee, hot water, and iced water. They allow pets with an additional charge.

The room was small. When the same hotel is listed on other websites the description said to email the hotel to see if it will accept your pet. I emailed the hotel to ask about my dog. They quoted $50. However, when I checked in and mentioned that I had a pet, the paper they asked me to sign quoted $100-$150. I showed them my email and they charged me the lower price.

Loved the location, the beautifully kept gardens the pool in the centre of the property, surrounded by ornate balconies and blossoms. The room was exceptionally clean with a large comfortable bed and functioning air con. Great location. Nice warm welcome from the concierge staff. Helped keep our suitcases safe in the office, until check in time.

We were very grateful to have the opportunity to book at the last minute for 4th of July. It was the accessible garden room, on pool level, next to the launderette facilities however. Next time we would prefer a room with more privacy, slightly bigger and with a better outlook as the cost per night was very high in comparison to the general feel of this particular room.

The breakfast was standard. The location, for me was awesome. The parking charge was a surprise, however, i valued the security of it. I loved my room, even thought the room temperature control was antiquated, but understandable with the age of the hotel...however the heater provided served me well. Overall, it will be my first choice with my next visit to Laguna. Thank you for everything, Whitey Johnson

Upfront awareness of parking cost. I lived in Laguna in the 50s and 60s so the parking is no doubt a value that i'll be glad to pay for security reasons....lawlessness is out of hand across our land.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, they allowed me to upgrade my room a few days into my stay, even though most hotels will not alter a reservation on booking. It was super dog friendly and I stayed 15 days it was a home away from home 🙂

Breakfast was very generous word for stale doughnuts and bagels. They did have coffee and tea available all day and the lobby had a very welcoming vibe more like a sitting room than cold sterile lobby. There’s also a great cafe across the street as well as a grocery store so very easy to get snacks and breakfast.

Everyone super nice. Took time with us to accomodate special requests. We showed up early and just inquired about being able to check even though before 4, and they allowed us to by just switching rooms. I winessed another person arrving early making the same request and took the time to check if they could accomodate.

Hmmmmm - Don't know. We had never stayed with you before, and it was only one night - It was perfect. We are coming back at the end of summer, so I will make sure to keep in mind any helful criticism.

Can't beat the location & love that it's pet friendly! Beach access & mimosas are a walk across the street. Plenty of shops within walking distance. Whole aesthetic gives vintage Laguna Beach nostalgia. We booked an older, unrenovated South building room near the pool. Staff was helpful. It's definitely an experience. Would be nice to come back & stay in the newer North building..

We noticed some rooms next to us were undergoing renovations, but it wasn't any bother during our stay. Looking forward to what that will look like! AC unit smelled bad, could use replacing. Since we were right outside the enclosed courtyard, we just left the door open for fresh air. Luckily, the weather was perfect enough to do so. Can't complain really, I mean you're right next to the beach. Can't get any better than that!

The owner and his staff are wonderful. The hotel is undergoing a slow, methodical renovation; nothing to worry about but we had a room with 2 double beds and the room was pretty small for 2 beds such that you could not fully open the door as it would hit the bed and bounce back at you lol. Minor issue. I would not hesitate to stay there again because the location is exceptional as are the staff and the rooms are clean and comfortable as is the property overall.

The mattress were not good. You could feel every spring in your back. Also, the staff at the front were not good about refill the continental breakfast. At least four items needed replacing and refreshing. Those are some of the things that will push the hotel to the next level. I also might expand the breakfast a touch. And adding beginner surf board to rent (not just boggie boards) might be a nice addition. Good luck.

Great location! One block from thr beach and close to restaurants; across the street from the grocery store ; and a 10 minute walk to the main beach and downtown area.

It’s a little older. The courtyard area with its pals surrounding the pool has its own charm. Would a preferred and more substantial and healthier breakfast. It was just white carbs.

The location is fantastic. One street away from the beach. Sleepy Hollow was our favorite spot. Not too overcrowded like Main Beach

The hotel is outdated. I noticed they were redoing some of the rooms with vinyl and new decor. Parking is an extra $35 a day. Extremely excessive. Considering staying at other nearby properties for an extra $50-100 nightly fit better amenities
